Chapter 188: Amazing Nyxara

At the mention of Velena, Nyxara’s expression shifted slightly. She suddenly remembered that she had gotten angry at her twice because of matters related to Nova. She still needed to apologize.

After a brief pause, she spoke again.

"Then call her."

Nova nodded and contacted Velena through the communication stone, telling her to come to their current location. Since she had already met Nyxara here before, she knew exactly where to go.

Within ten minutes, she arrived.

By then, the sun had already set. The sky was completely dark, filled with the brilliant beauty of countless stars.

When Velena reached the mountains, she found Nyxara sitting comfortably on Nova’s lap, resting her head against his chest. Velena’s eyes widened slightly in surprise.

She hadn’t expected Nova to reconcile with the princess so quickly... nor had she expected the proud and mighty Nyxara to let go of her anger this easily.

A soft smile appeared on her face.

Love truly had the power to change people in ways that defied their usual nature. Even she herself had been feeling emotions she hadn’t experienced in the thousands of years she had lived.

"You’re here," Nova said calmly. He had already sensed her presence from afar, and so had Nyxara, yet neither of them moved from their position.

"Looks like everything went well," Velena said.

Nova chuckled.

"It seems that way... Come here."

Velena approached. The moment Nova touched her hand, the three of them vanished into the system space. The matters he was about to reveal were far too important, and he could not risk anyone overhearing them.

"Where are we?" Nyxara asked as she felt the space around them shift. When she opened her eyes, she found herself standing in a vast, pure white expanse.

"Just a little patience," Nova said. "I’ll explain everything."

Nyxara nodded and quietly got off his lap. Nova stood up and called Liya. The sudden appearance of the beautiful system spirit clearly surprised Nyxara, but Nova didn’t leave her in suspense for long.

With a thought, he changed the surroundings. The white void transformed into a peaceful mountain range under a beautiful night sky. All four of them sat together.

Then Nova began explaining.

He held nothing back. He told them everything he had previously shared with his wives — and more. This time, he also revealed the matter of Demon Lord Raze’s heart, something he had only told his wives before.

Both Nyxara and Velena were left stunned.

Nyxara could hardly believe how law-defying Nova’s abilities truly were. It finally explained how someone who was only at the mid-King Realm could release an aura comparable to an Emperor.

She also understood how his demonic aura had become so pure — even purer than that of the original Demon Lord Raze.

What she still struggled to comprehend was how he could simultaneously be human, demon, and dragon. Even Nova himself could not fully explain it.

The only answer he could give was that it was possible because of his law-breaking innate skill — **Infinite Adaptation Core**.

He did not mention the Primordial Wisp of Energy. He still knew almost nothing about it himself, even though it had played a major role in allowing him to refine and absorb Demon Lord Raze’s soul, greatly strengthening his own.

After hearing everything, Nyxara fell silent.

Surprisingly, she felt no hatred toward him for taking away the last chance of her uncle’s revival. She understood better than most how terrifying Demon Lord Raze had been.

If he had truly returned, the entire world would have been thrown into danger once again. Her feelings for Nova did not waver in the slightest.

Velena, on the other hand, wore an expression similar to someone who had just seen an unknown and dangerous creature for the first time. Nova couldn’t help but chuckle at the look on his beautiful mature maid’s face.

"That’s everything," Nova said at last. "This is the real me. I hope you both understand the implications of associating with someone like me... though at this point, we’ve already come too far for that to matter."

Nyxara snorted.

"Hmph. So what if you have such powers? That doesn’t mean you can keep charging into threats stronger than you. You’ve already experienced that more than once."

She then turned toward Liya.

"And aren’t you his system and partner? Why do you keep letting him take such risks?"

Liya chuckled softly.

{ I can only give him suggestions. I can’t control him. You should know that better than anyone by now, shouldn’t you? }

Nyxara snorted again, unable to argue.

Velena spoke next, her tone more serious.

"Lord Nova... now that you carry so many secrets, isn’t it too dangerous to participate in the tournament? I heard from the maids today that many great powers will be gathering this time."

Velena continued in a serious tone.

"I heard that Lady Aurora, the Spirit Queen, the younger brother of the current Dragon Emperor, the Beastfolk Emperor himself, and the daughter of the Phoenix Empress will all be attending. There’s even a rumor that the Human Emperor may reveal himself this time."

"All of them are mighty Sovereigns far stronger than Princess Nyxara. Knowing this... participating is almost the same as walking toward your own death. They will clearly be able to sense the powerful demonic energy inside you."

Nova listened carefully. He wasn’t foolish enough to have never considered that possibility. Still, curiosity flickered in his eyes.

"...And you don’t know anything about those people," Velena added. "Especially Lady Aurora and the Beastfolk Emperor. Although they are not as strong as my father, both of them stand on equal footing with the second strongest Demon Lord."

Nova understood the weight of her words. A faint smile appeared on his face.

Nyxara frowned in irritation. "Why are you smiling? Answer properly, you idiot."

Nova looked at her and asked calmly,

"I will... but tell me, my wife — have you met these beings before?"

Nyxara remained silent.

Velena let out a soft sigh and spoke instead.

"Lord Nova... I understand that you still don’t know much about Princess Nyxara, or anyone in your family. She has been in seclusion for the past few hundred years."

Nova’s interest immediately sharpened as he focused on Velena’s words.

"She is famous across the world as a genius Demon Princess."

"At a very young age, she had already mastered all the combat skills and techniques of the Zarok Clan. She also possesses an extremely rare spatial affinity. Including her, only two other beings in the entire Abyss have that affinity."

"And it is not only about possessing it. Her comprehension of space has already reached the same level as her father’s... and that was even before she went to train on the Fourth Level of the Abyss hundred years ago."

"Not only that," Velena continued, "she is the eldest daughter of the strongest Demon Lord — Kharos Zarok. Just the mention of her name is enough to make people tremble."

"Although her beauty is not as widely known as Lady Aurora’s in the human world — since the Princess always covers her face whenever she visits other continents those who have actually seen her never forget it."

"She is also considered the third most beautiful woman in this world."

Nova was genuinely shocked.

He realized just how little he actually knew about Nyxara. It was understandable, though. Compared to her long history and status, he had only recently begun his journey in this world.

The same could be said about the knowledge of his other wives and their families.

The world of the truly powerful and the world of the weak and ordinary were completely different. One could not expect to know everything about a realm they had only just begun to step into.
