Chapter 132: Leveling Up

After about half an hour, one of the assassin undead suddenly returned.

It knelt before Kaiser.

"Master, we have discovered a large group of monsters ahead."

Kaiser looked at it.

"What kind?"

"Frost Trolls. There are more than three hundred of them."

Rachel’s eyes widened slightly.

"Three hundred?"

Kaiser smiled.

"That’s exactly what we need."

He immediately changed direction.

The group followed the assassin undead through the forest.

After several minutes, they reached a large valley.

Kaiser stopped at the edge and looked down.

Hundreds of Frost Trolls were moving through the valley.

Some were fighting each other while others were hunting smaller monsters. Several were even sleeping against the frozen rocks.

Kaiser observed them carefully.

"They are all Rank 2."

Selene looked at the valley.

"There are quite a few."

"That’s good."

Kaiser raised his hand.

"Let’s deal with them."

Dark energy suddenly spread across the snowy ground.

One after another, Death Knights, Frost Troll undead, Skeleton Warriors, and other undead emerged from the darkness.

The Frost Trolls immediately noticed them.

A loud roar echoed through the valley.

The trolls grabbed whatever they could use as weapons and charged toward Kaiser’s army.

The battle began almost immediately.

The Frost Trolls were much stronger than the Frost Goblins they had encountered earlier.

Their massive bodies allowed them to withstand attacks that would have killed weaker monsters instantly.

Some trolls even tore apart undead with their bare hands before being overwhelmed by the sheer number of Kaiser’s forces.

Kaiser simply stood at the edge of the valley and watched.

He did not need to personally participate.

His undead army quickly surrounded the trolls from every direction.

"Don’t destroy their bodies unnecessarily," Kaiser ordered.

The undead immediately changed their fighting style.

Instead of completely destroying the trolls, they focused on killing them while preserving their corpses.

Marina watched the battle from beside Kaiser.

"Are you planning to turn all of them into undead?"

"Most of them."

Kaiser looked toward the battlefield.

"The Corpse Lord can absorb their bodies and gain more useful traits."

Rachel nodded.

"Then these trolls are basically materials for its evolution."

"Exactly."

The battle continued for several minutes.

Eventually, the final Frost Troll collapsed onto the snow.

The valley became quiet.

Kaiser opened his Cosmic Sheet and checked his experience.

His level had increased considerably from the battle.

He smiled.

"Not bad."

He then summoned the Corpse Lord.

A dark mist appeared beside him.

The ghost-like figure emerged from the darkness, its long yellowish robes dragging slightly through the air as it floated above the ground.

Kaiser pointed toward the corpses.

"Corpse Lord, absorb them."

The Corpse Lord immediately moved forward.

Its body suddenly expanded, and a strange force spread across the valley.

One Frost Troll corpse after another disappeared into its body.

[Corpse Lord has absorbed a Frost Troll corpse.]

[Corpse Lord has obtained Frost Troll traits.]

[Corpse Lord’s Frost Troll Regeneration has increased.]

[Corpse Lord’s Troll Body has increased in effectiveness.]

[Corpse Lord has absorbed a Frost Troll corpse.]

The notifications continued appearing one after another.

Kaiser watched with satisfaction.

"With this many Frost Trolls, its regeneration should become even stronger."

However, before he could continue watching, one of the assassin undead suddenly appeared beside him.

"Master."

Kaiser turned toward it.

"What happened?"

The assassin lowered its head.

"We discovered another powerful monster."

Kaiser’s expression became interested.

"What kind?"

The assassin hesitated for a moment.

"It is a troll, but it is different from the others."

Kaiser raised an eyebrow.

"Different how?"

"It possesses both ice and lightning."

Kaiser immediately understood.

"Blue Thunder Troll?"

The assassin nodded.

"Yes."

Kaiser looked toward the deeper part of the mountains.

A faint smile appeared on his face.

"One of the mountain anomalies."

Marina looked at him.

"Are you going after it?"

"Of course."

Kaiser turned toward the direction given by the assassin.

"If it really is the Blue Thunder Troll, it should be much stronger than an ordinary Frost Troll."

Rachel smiled.

"Then it might be worth adding to your collection."

Kaiser nodded.

"That’s what I’m thinking."

He looked toward the Corpse Lord.

"Come with us."

The Corpse Lord immediately stopped absorbing the remaining corpses and floated toward Kaiser.

Kaiser then looked at Marina, Selene, and Rachel.

"Let’s go."

The four of them, along with the Corpse Lord and several undead assassins, began moving deeper into the mountains.

None of them noticed that far away, within the frozen forest, a massive blue figure was watching their approach.

Lightning slowly crackled across its enormous body.

The Blue Thunder Troll had already noticed their approach.

"Humans! How dare you kill my army?"

The Blue Thunder Troll roared as blue lightning rolled across its body.

However, its lightning was different from normal lightning. It was not hot. Every time it struck the ground, it froze the area in thick blue ice.

This was the Thunder Ice of the Blue Thunder Troll.

"Roarrr!"

The Blue Thunder Troll let out another roar and rushed toward Kaiser and the others.

Garuk, who was standing at the front, also roared and charged forward. He raised his greatsword and swung it toward the incoming monster.

The Blue Thunder Troll raised its massive fist and struck the sword.

Boom!

The collision created a powerful sonic boom.

Garuk’s body was sent flying backward, and he crashed into the snow several meters away.

Kaiser calmly watched the scene.

Garuk was only Rank 1, while the Blue Thunder Troll was Rank 2. The difference between their ranks was too great for Garuk to fight it directly.

"What a pity," Kaiser muttered. "I would have liked to tame it, but it is only Unique-Rank, just like Luna was before her Reconstruction. Even after Reconstruction, it would only evolve into Legendary-Rank. It isn’t worth using especially when I won’t get another pet slot."

Selene suddenly spoke from beside him.

"Master, I can tame it."

Kaiser turned toward her.

"You can?"

Before Selene could answer, the Corpse Lord moved forward.

Its body rapidly changed as it activated its Chimera Transformation. Its long, worn robes disappeared into a massive body covered in thick fur and powerful muscles.

In the next moment, the Corpse Lord had transformed into its Orc Troll Chimera form.

It rushed toward the Blue Thunder Troll and intercepted it.

The two enormous bodies collided, causing the ground beneath them to crack.

The Blue Thunder Troll swung its fist, covered in Thunder Ice.

The Corpse Lord raised its massive arm and blocked the attack.

Blue ice spread across its arm, but the Corpse Lord’s body quickly regenerated. It then counterattacked with a powerful punch.

The Blue Thunder Troll was forced several steps backward.

Kaiser looked at Selene.

"Explain."

Selene smiled faintly.
