My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 646 - 351: An Unpleasant Misunderstanding, Crisis of Identity Exposure

Su Chen never expected to hear about this matter from Qing Cang.

"You find it unbelievable too, don’t you?" Qing Cang wasn’t surprised by Su Chen’s slightly dazed expression. His own reaction had been much the same when he first learned of it.

Su Chen snapped back to reality and answered vaguely, "A little."

"But what does it mean that someone was there?" Su Chen invited Qing Cang to sit in a nearby pavilion. It was located far out on the edge of the Floating Island. At certain times, when the orbits of the satellite cities brought them close enough, one could faintly make out the scenes on them.

"What does it mean?" Qing Cang’s voice involuntarily rose as they walked. "It means a great deal! That’s the Lost Flame! It’s almost certain now that it was left behind by a Sun Tier after their death.

"The intensity of its Flame Fire is beyond imagination. Even at a time like this, the Ancient Kings have no confidence in their ability to force their way in. Yet, that person was able to endure the outer Flame Fire and enter. Their strength must be absolutely extraordinary."

"Extraordinary..." Su Chen fell silent for a moment before he couldn’t help but say, "Perhaps he didn’t go in recently, or maybe he used some other method?"

This kind of overthinking wasn’t necessarily a good thing.

"Impossible." Qing Cang shook his head, speaking with absolute certainty. "If someone was merely inside, there might be a chance of what you’re suggesting. But the other party didn’t just go in—they were incredibly arrogant, completely disregarding the Ancient Kings."

"What?" Su Chen froze, blurting out, "Disregarding the Ancient Kings?"

How come he didn’t know anything about this?

As Qing Cang spoke, he casually swiped his wrist. A virtual screen popped up. After tapping on it a few times, he brought up a virtual image. "Look.

"This person was facing six Moonlight Tier Professionals, yet their expression remained cold and arrogant. Such a posture is enough to prove their absolute confidence."

There was even a picture? Su Chen leaned in to take a look and immediately froze. The image showed a figure entirely wrapped in Flame Fire. Almost nothing could be seen clearly, save for a pair of eyes looking downwards, faintly discernible through the blaze.

Due to the angle, at first glance, it really did look somewhat cold and arrogant.

"How did it turn out like this?" Su Chen muttered inwardly, carefully recalling the event. At the time, when the vortex appeared, his first reaction had simply been sheer bewilderment. Limited by his vision, he couldn’t see anything at all, causing his eyes to lose focus. As a result, it had created this baffling misunderstanding.

However, the picture made him feel a lingering sense of dread. It was far too clear; he had no idea who could have possibly taken it. Fortunately, the vigorous Residual Fire had wrapped him tightly. With only a pair of faintly visible eyes, it was truly impossible to identify anything.

Seeing the picture again, Qing Cang still felt a bit emotional. "This person is definitely not a Professional from the Dust Star Sea. They must be from the Outer Realm."

Seeing that Qing Cang was still letting his imagination run wild, Su Chen felt truly speechless and a little embarrassed. He could only ask, "The Outer Realm? Do the Ancient Kings have any clues?"

"I didn’t ask too much about the specific details, but our Master mentioned a name. He called it the Abyss Realm," Qing Cang pondered aloud.

"The Abyss Realm?" Su Chen’s heart stirred. The Ancient King level really did know about this place. He quickly pressed further, "What kind of place is it?"

"That, I’m not entirely sure about," Qing Cang shook his head. "I’m guessing this must be the powerful place from the rumors circulating in the Dust Star Sea."

Seeing Su Chen’s inquisitive expression, Qing Cang explained further, "The High Tier members of the Five Great Sects and the Royal Court are vaguely aware of such a place, but they don’t exactly know what it’s called. Rumor has it that it’s connected to the origin of the Dust Star Sea." His tone carried a hint of profound realization. "After all, the probability of six Moonlight Spiritualities just happening to gather together isn’t high."

Su Chen subconsciously speculated about the origin of the Dust Star Sea, wondering if the very first Moonlight Tiers had come from the Abyss Realm. Then, he asked, "Does our Sect know much about the Abyss Realm?"

Qing Cang shook his head. "I reckon only the Ancient Kings know. After all, knowing about such a place isn’t exactly a good thing. You probably wouldn’t hear about it more than a few times in an entire lifetime. If anyone knows more, it should be the Royal Court, since they are the most powerful faction."

Su Chen understood, thinking of the Prison King.

"Don’t worry, even if the sky falls, the Ancient Kings will be the first to hold it up." Seeing Su Chen’s thoughtful look, Qing Cang comforted him. Changing the subject, he asked, "I saw you sent me a few messages. What did you need me for? Master gave me some instructions, so if it’s not urgent, I’ll go take care of those first."

Seeing that Qing Cang was about to leave, Su Chen hurriedly asked about the Moonlight Treasure Bone.

"The Moonlight Treasure Bone..." Qing Cang felt a vague sense of familiarity. This kid had asked him about all sorts of bizarre materials before. He explained, "It’s the bone of a Moonlight Tier Professional. And not just any simple bone, but the spinal bone. Because it contains the Traits of their profession, it’s called a Treasure Bone."

The spinal bone... Su Chen’s eyelids twitched. Let alone a spinal bone, he couldn’t even get his hands on a regular bone! What a pity that their Master was no longer a being of flesh and blood, so there was no way to harvest one from him.

Qing Cang asked casually, "Why are you asking about this?"

"I just heard about it by chance, so I thought I’d ask," Su Chen explained.

Qing Cang paused. Why did this excuse sound so familiar? Always acting so mysteriously... He secretly shook his head. Then, he heard Su Chen ask about the Flame Fire Golden Sand.

"You really never ask about anything simple, do you?" Qing Cang frowned. "This is something that can only be born from Moonlight Flame Fire. It has to burn continuously for over a century just to produce a single wisp of Golden Sand.

"It has quite a few uses. It can be used as a material for forging a Morning Star Artifact, and it can also meet the requirements of rituals, substituting for the vast majority of materials that would otherwise need to be gathered."

"A Moonlight Tier Flame Fire has to burn for a century just to produce one wisp. It really isn’t simple," Su Chen clicked his tongue in wonder. "Then does our Sect..."
