My Professions Have Too Much Personality

Chapter 608 332: Wei Zhenghong: Is This Really a Dream

"Oh right, I forgot to tell you. Somehow, Old Su melted a Holy Profession at Tier Six," came another mental message from Chu Ran.

"Melted a Holy Profession at Tier Six? How is that possible!" Wei Zhenghong cried out in shock.

He had gone through hell and back just to succeed in melting his own Holy Profession. And now, he was being told that Su Chen had not only beaten him to it, but had done so at Tier Six?

Seeing Wei Zhenghong's over-the-top reaction, Han Jingtian's expression darkened. Han Xingliu, too, felt a sense of revulsion, certain that Wei Zhenghong was doing this on purpose just to get under their skin. 'This news is ancient. Is it really worth such a fuss?'

"That's enough!" Han Jingtian couldn't help but sneer. "Sucking up to him is useless. The Bronze Sect isn't going to make you a Divine Dawn."

Wei Zhenghong's mind was reeling. Qin Tianlin's death, Su Chen melting a Holy Profession at Tier Six… this flood of information was too much for him to process.

Then, hearing Han Jingtian's words, he grew even more bewildered. "What does this have to do with Divine Dawn?"

Seeing Han Jingtian's face visibly flush crimson, Chu Ran lowered his head and sighed to himself. 'Sometimes, a wild flurry of punches is all it takes to bring down a master.'

'Su Chen had ascended to Divine Dawn, while none of the other Star Amber Level members in the Sect had managed it. Vague rumors had started to circulate, whispering about the Bronze Ancient King showing favoritism and so on.'

'If it were anyone else—even Shen Yi'an—they might appear calm on the surface when the topic was raised, but they'd inevitably feel some turmoil inside.'

'But Old Wei, he genuinely had no clue. That sincere bewilderment was probably frustrating the hell out of Han Jingtian.'

"Such audacity!" Han Jingtian felt as if his punches were landing on cotton. He spat out the words and stormed off, with Han Xingliu following close behind.

"What's with those two?" Wei Zhenghong was completely baffled. Chu Ran shot him a look and said with a sigh, "Inside the Profound Celestial Instrument, Old Su… he ascended to Twin Divine Dawns."

"Twin... Di-vine... Dawns..." Wei Zhenghong slowly turned his head. He blinked, a dazed look spreading across his face.

"Yeah..." Chu Ran began to explain. "It's a huge deal right now. After all, it involves the Spirit of the Sun, which only those at the Divine Dawn Level are qualified to approach. All the other Star Seeds are currently…" He trailed off mid-sentence.

Chu Ran's vision suddenly went black. Wei Zhenghong had reached out and slapped him squarely across the face.

"Old Wei, are you fucking crazy?!" Chu Ran glared, furious.

Wei Zhenghong looked entranced, staring at his own palm. "So it's not a dream?"

「Meanwhile, inside the Copper Heart」

CRACKLE— The arcs of electricity swirling around Su Chen sank into his body. He slowly opened his eyes, the tingling numbness within him gradually fading as he glanced at his status panel.

'This took longer than I imagined. Thankfully, it wasn't a waste of time. My profession's development progress has reached 65%. I estimate that in a few more days, my life in this Endless Abyss will be over.'

Staying here was sheer torture. There were a few times he almost couldn't take it anymore.

He called up his new Body Refining and Meditation Techniques. Just as he was about to start, he heard the Copper Spirit's voice, which he hadn't heard in a long time. "Lord Su Chen, Lord Qing Cang wishes to see you. Do you consent?"

"Old Qing?" Su Chen was surprised. 'What's he doing here?'

After a moment of thought, Su Chen replied, "Let him in."

"Understood," the Copper Spirit's voice faded away.

A moment later, ripples appeared in the void, and a figure materialized. It was Qing Cang.

He immediately sensed the environmental mimicry of this place, its cycles flowing several times faster than normal, and the constantly shifting gravity.

It had no effect on him, however. He simply glanced down at Su Chen, who was sprawled on his back on the ground, and the corner of his mouth twitched. "What are you doing back in here?"

"Senior Brother, what kind of question is that?" Su Chen's voice was lazy, his eyes half-closed. "I came to the Creation Copper Heart to work on my profession's requirements. What else would I be doing here?"

"This is your third time in here this year, isn't it?" Qing Cang asked, puzzled. "How can you have so many requirements that need the Copper Heart's help? The Creation Copper Heart isn't omnipotent. It can't assist with things like collection or rituals."

"Senior Brother, just talking and thinking with you is exhausting." Su Chen had already closed his eyes.

Qing Cang grew even more speechless. He recognized the environment; this was the Endless Abyss. Landing beside Su Chen, a sharp glint flashed in his eyes as a wisp of air flowed into Su Chen's body, scanning him from head to toe.

"Good, you haven't been tainted by Deceitful God's Power." Qing Cang said irritably. "I was starting to think you were hiding from me."

He had waited for months, but Su Chen never came to him for the check-up. When he went to the Floating Island to look for him and found it empty, he'd gotten a real scare.

"Ha." Su Chen chuckled. 'Old Qing still remembered that? I'd completely forgotten.' "You came all this way just for that?"

Seeing Su Chen's nonchalant attitude, Qing Cang instinctively wanted to remind him of the dangers of the Deceitful Gods.

But then he remembered that this kid had grown up in an environment influenced by Deceitful Gods. For him, such things were commonplace.

His 'nonchalance' wasn't the carelessness of a disciple from another Sect who'd never encountered a Deceitful God. Rather, it was a serenity born from profound, firsthand experience.

Realizing he had nothing to lecture him about, Qing Cang had no choice but to change the subject. "Did you gain anything from using that Divine Blood to ignite your Morning Fire?"

"Not really, no," Su Chen said evasively.

Seeing that Qing Cang was about to press the issue, he cut him off. "Senior Brother, has anything big been happening outside?"
