Elise drifted, the water turning to freezing slush around her. She saw herself mutating into an exact replica of her mother—isolated, ruthless, entombed in an empire of ice. But the memory of Nathan’s hand pulling her from the brink flared in her chest, melting the frost. "I am not her. I am myself."

Smithy squeezed his eyes shut. The faces of his wife and children floated in the dark water, turning their backs to him in absolute disgust. "You let us burn." A single tear leaked from the corner of his eye, washing away in the sea. "I know. And I will carry that forever. But I won’t let it happen to anyone else."

The psychic assault shattered. The invasive illusions dissolved back into the murky green water. The party formed up tight and pressed on.

And there, suspended at the absolute epicenter of the Leviathan’s anatomy, they found the seed.

It hung in a cavernous chamber of raw, pulsing muscle—a massive, perfectly spherical core of pure, radioactive green corruption. It beat like a cancerous second heart, the light it emitted physically blinding.

And its voice was the Shepherd’s.

"You cannot excise this. You cannot stitch together what I have torn apart. This World is already mine."

Nathan kicked forward, swimming directly into the blinding glare, the three Tide Crystals glowing like captured stars in his hands. "You miscalculated. The Clear Condition for this World isn’t destruction. It’s healing. These crystals aren’t weapons—they’re medicine."

He slammed the crystals directly into the surface of the seed.

The collision of pure blue and necrotic green light was catastrophic.

The seed let out a deafening, psychic scream. SKREEEEE! The Leviathan’s entire internal anatomy violently convulsed. The kinetic shockwave threw the party backward against the fleshy walls, but they dug their boots into the muscle and held their ground, instantly channeling their mana outward to reinforce the crystals. Nathan felt the corruption surge back through the artifacts—a crushing, suffocating wave of pure, concentrated malevolence that tried to pulverize his mind.

But the Tide Crystals held the line. The blue light flared brilliantly, cutting through the dark. A hairline fracture appeared on the green seed. CRRR-ACK.

"Everyone!" Nathan roared over the roaring water. "Pour absolutely everything you have into the circuit!"

The vanguard didn’t hesitate. A massive, coordinated torrent of mana flowed from every hand, every summon, every beating heart in the chamber.

Mirko’s jade aura spiraled into the blue. Kuro’s concentrated shadow energy wove through the light like obsidian threads. Shiro’s draconic, golden fire blazed white-hot. Garrett’s immovable kinetic will, Dillon’s jagged, arcing lightning, Elise’s absolute zero frost, and Smithy’s desperate resolve all slammed into the circuit simultaneously.

The seed cracked wide open. KRAK-FZZZT!

The Shepherd’s voice tore through the chamber—stripped of its ancient calm, screaming in raw, unadulterated fury. "YOU CANNOT STOP ME! THIS WORLD BELONGS TO ME!"

"No," Nathan said, his eyes burning with absolute certainty. "It belongs to them."

KABOOOOOM!

The seed violently shattered into a billion harmless, dissolving fragments.

The suffocating green corruption instantly collapsed, receding like a toxic tide finally pulling back from the shore.

The Leviathan’s massive muscles contracted, and the entire party was forcefully, physically expelled from the wound. They were launched out into the open ocean, bursting through the surface and gasping for air.

The sky above was rapidly transforming. The sickly, apocalyptic green tint was bleeding out of the clouds, replaced by a soft, vibrant, natural blue. The violent turbulence of the sea flattened into a calm, gentle swell. The mutated Deep Ones breached the surface, their necrotic extra limbs dissolving as they swam peacefully through the cleansing water.

And then, the Leviathan rose.

The god-beast breached the surface—a monolithic, breathtaking mountain of flesh and sea-glass, entirely whole. Its body was stripped of the parasitic vines and jagged coral. Its multitude of massive eyes no longer burned with the Shepherd’s rot; they glowed with a deep, ancient, and profound warmth.

It opened its cavernous mouth and sang.

The song was a deep, resonating frequency of absolute joy. It rolled across the surface of the water, echoing into the sky, and everywhere the sound touched, the last lingering stains of corruption simply dissolved into seafoam.

On the bobbing skiffs in the distance, the Tidecallers wept openly. Coral fell to her knees on the deck, sobbing into her hands. Even Nathan felt a heavy, physical knot in his chest instantly release.

Then, the blue interface panels exploded across his vision.

Mirko’s body suddenly erupted in a blinding pillar of jade light. When the intense glare faded, she stood significantly taller on the surface of the water.
