My Online Girlfriend Has a Twin Sister

Chapter 733 490: Photoshoot (2)

There were two simple reasons for this. First, it was incredibly expensive. Second, a wedding dress like this would place huge demands on the venue. It was hard to imagine how many people it would take just to lift the train—its splendor was almost absurd.

Something this big wasn't necessarily a good thing; it had too many drawbacks.

Of course, it was undeniably beautiful, but that beauty came at a great cost. For the bride, it would essentially be a grueling weight-training session. Getting married in this dress would be like a full day's workout.

Ningning and Yaoyao gently stroked the end of the train, feeling its intricate and heavy design. It was as if clouds had been plucked from the sky to be fashioned into a wedding gown.

She tried to lift the hoop skirt slightly.

"It's a little heavy—heavier than I imagined," Jiangg Ning couldn't help but remark. "They must have stuffed a lot of hoops in there to make the train so full."

"It's so big, it looks like a piece of cotton candy," Jiangg Yao said softly. "I kind of have the urge to lie down on it."

"It probably wouldn't be comfortable. The hoops would dig into you."

"Then I can just try lying down between two of the hoops." As soon as she spoke, Jiangg Yao crouched down and sat on the massive skirt. She grabbed Chen Yuan, who had hurried over to steady her, and pulled him down with her. "You try it too."

"Won't we crush it?"

"It's fine. This dress is incredibly sturdy. You could have a bunch of people rolling around on it and it'd be okay. Trust me."

Jiangg Ning raised an eyebrow as she watched the two of them lie down together like a pair of playful children.

"So, how does it feel?" she asked, surprisingly interested. She didn't scold Yaoyao for being immature as one might expect.

"It's soft... and thick. Especially when you bury your face in the skirt and squint at the ceiling lights. I feel something... ethereal. It doesn't feel real," Jiangg Yao's voice grew softer and softer until she closed her eyes, as if savoring the sensation. "This feels so good. Why do I feel so happy? What about you?"

"Yeah, I feel it too," Chen Yuan replied.

Jiangg Ning tilted her head. A moment later, still in her high heels, she sat down on the edge of the display platform next to the dress. She scooted closer to Chen Yuan and gently lay down beside him. The moment her body sank into the sea of pure white, ornate fabric, she suddenly understood the feeling Jiangg Yao had described.

Tiny diamonds glittered at the corners of her vision, and the light, thin gauze created a hazy veil. It was just like an unreal dream.

"I never thought this day would come so quickly. In the blink of an eye, it's time for us to get married. Working so hard to move from Mingzhu City to Lanjing, buying all sorts of things, trying to make our rooms as comfortable as possible... those moments feel like they just happened yesterday. Back then, we were full of wonderful dreams for the future, but getting married was the one thing we never considered."

"That's just how fate is," Jiangg Yao's voice was languid. "It appears suddenly in your perfectly peaceful life when you least expect it. No amount of planning or thinking can change it. It's best to just let things happen naturally."

"Time passes so quickly..."

As Chen Yuan listened to the sisters' emotional reflections, he knew what Ningning meant. The two of them had always relied on each other for everything. Now, suddenly, everything was different. There was another person in their lives, and their focus had shifted entirely.

It was as if they had been walking halfway through the rain, huddled together and supporting each other under a single umbrella.

And then, suddenly, there was someone else under that umbrella with them.

"Good," Jiangg Yao said suddenly. "We're getting this major life event taken care of before my twenty-seventh birthday. I'll be a married woman soon."

"Come on, let's not waste any more time." Jiangg Ning stood up.

As she got to her feet, she grabbed one of their hands in each of hers and pulled her sister and Chen Yuan up.

There was a time and place for sentimentality, and this wasn't it. The sisters only had half an hour to pick their wedding dresses. According to the studio's schedule, they had a packed afternoon ahead and would surely be busy until dark. On top of that, Chen Yuan's family had arranged a dinner for that evening. His parents were going to formally meet the two sisters as their future daughters-in-law.

Hand in hand, the three of them set off once more.

Chen Yuan let the sisters pull him along. He watched as they scanned the room for the perfect dress, their eyes alight with excitement as if two weren't enough to take everything in. He felt an inexplicable warmth and savored the atmosphere of the moment.

Time really did fly.

In their relationship of over a year, he had experienced so many unforgettable moments. It was completely different from a normal romance; Jiangg Ning and Jiangg Yao had given him a marvelous experience that no other man could ever hope to have in his lifetime.

'The most profound and unforgettable memory had to be the day he'd secretly hidden in a box. He'd overheard the two sisters arguing, then suddenly popped out with a BANG, seeing the stunned looks on their faces.'

'Truly, he would never forget that day for as long as he lived.'

'Thinking back on it now, Chen Yuan couldn't help but chuckle.'

'Alright then. I'll spend the rest of my life repaying the price for that deception...'

His eyes filled with tenderness as he gazed at the two sisters.

...

The photographer and a crowd of staff members were waiting for the trio in the reception hall around the corner. They were all set and just needed the stars of the show to arrive.

Just a moment before, the staff had been whispering among themselves about how stunning the groom and his two brides were. The moment they heard the door open, the chatter instantly ceased.

Chen Yuan, flanked by his two brides, pushed the door open and stood before the assembled staff.

Cocoa could embellish her descriptions all day, but nothing was more persuasive than seeing the real deal in person.

"Mr. Chen, have you made your selections? If so, please select the style numbers for the dresses here on the screen. Our staff will then help move them to the fitting rooms, and we can get started on hair and makeup."

"We've picked them out," the sisters said in unison.

"Please make your selections on this screen, then."

While Ningning and Yaoyao went through the selection process, Chen Yuan glanced at the waiting staff. 'Damn.' Including the photographer, there were over a dozen people. A whole team was here to provide them with 360-degree service. It was quite the production. And they were supposed to wrap everything up by seven o'clock tonight; he could only imagine how hectic it was going to be.

"Mr. Chen, our pre-arranged schedule includes three indoor scenes, three outdoor scenes, three formal evening gowns, and seven wedding dresses. We've laid out the day's tasks according to the requests from you and the two ladies. Could you please confirm if this is correct?"

"Is that per person or all together?" he asked, shocked.

"Per person."

Upon receiving that confirmation, Chen Yuan felt an immense weight settle on his shoulders. He had two fiancées but was only one person. He couldn't exactly clone himself, so he'd just have to run back and forth between them.

Ningning and Yaoyao had even booked different outdoor locations, which meant he was the one with the most work to do.

"I understand..." He nodded, the word coming out with some difficulty, and signed the form.

"Then let's not delay. We'll start with makeup now. Ladies, please come this way." Cocoa gestured, and a makeup artist immediately rose, leading Ningning and Yaoyao toward the other side of the reception hall.

Chen Yuan started to follow them.

But he was stopped after just a few steps.

"Ah, sir, that's the women's makeup area. The men's is over here," a woman said, stopping him with a polite smile. "Don't want to go to the wrong one."

"Oh, right."

He had to separate from the sisters already. Chen Yuan had assumed they'd all get their makeup done together. He scratched his nose in embarrassment.

Everyone gets to see the bride's final look after makeup, except for the groom. That was an established tradition.

"See you in a bit, Hubby~" Jiangg Yao said to Chen Yuan with a playful wink.

"See you in a bit... Hus... Husband."

Jiangg Yao tugged on her sleeve, and she bit her lip as she shyly uttered the word. Since they were all here to take wedding photos together, she had to get used to it. There was nothing shameful about their three-person relationship, and it was even more important to project that confidence in front of others.

'If she herself was still bothered by it, how could she expect others not to look at them with suspicion?'

Jiangg Yao didn't say anything, but she was secretly helping her sister overcome this.

"I'll get going, then." Chen Yuan met Ningning's eyes and suddenly felt a warmth spread through his chest.

'That word... He had been waiting to hear it for so long.'

'If this is all just a dream, then please, I hope I never wake up...'
