My New Life as a Max Level Dragon Princess [OP MC LitRPG Isekai]
Chapter 86: Daylight Blade
Elizabeth used Chaos on Dryad, infusing her with a surge of revitalizing power that healed her wounds and helped her grow into a massive tree once more, her form now radiating waves of psychic energy that pulsed through the air.
At the same time, Paragon absorbed her divine power and regrew his broken armor and sword, emerging reborn and ready for battle once again.
“Alright, let’s move!”
FLASH!
Elizabeth pierced through the thick clouds before her and pushed deeper into the dark skies, entering the atmosphere of the floating island she had set her sights on.
But that was as far as she got without interruption.
“GRYAAR!”
Out of the large clouds above her, a large flock of flying humanoid creatures suddenly emerged. They resembled skinny, pale, blue-skinned devils with long black wings, blue horns, pointed ears, and bleeding empty white eyes that stared with pure malice.
They had monstrous faces filled with long sharp fangs that constantly drooled, and long pointed tails that whipped through the air like those of true demons.
“What the hell are those?!” Dryad panicked. Unlike Mongrel, who was a knowledgeable Nightmare from the Nightmare Dimension, Dryad was a clueless newborn Nightmare Beast after all. “They don’t seem corporeal like my kind…!” she muttered in growing fear. “But they feel like embodiments of malice even greater than what Nightmare Beasts could ever be…! Moving Curses…”
[Lesser Nightmare: Blue Devil – Rank 5+]
“Lesser Nightmares,” Mongrel explained quickly. “They are a byproduct of a True Nightmare’s birth! They form from leftover Nightmare Essence, much weaker in comparison, but even one can eventually grow strong enough to challenge True Nightmares… we must eliminate as many as we can while we are in here!”
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, noticing that this flock of roughly over thirty Devils looked a great deal like Alfrion, or at least his kind.
“I don’t want to sound racist, but don’t they look a lot like Snow Elves?!” she asked in pure disbelief.
“Possible…” Mongrel replied. “Nightmares are born from the host’s own mind. They are embodiments of traumas, dark memories, grief, sorrow, and self-hatred… these demons that resemble his own kind might be exactly that!”
“Huh… I guess there’s no point in hesitating.”
Elizabeth’s aura surged as she channeled both her Psychic Power and her Soul Power together with her Harmony. Her Dragon form grew stronger while she activated her Chaos Demon Path and then reversed it into a Celestial Path.
A secondary pair of pure white feathered wings sprouted from her back, and a golden halo floated above her head, overflowing with holy power as she charged forward.
RUMBLE!
The sky itself exploded as powerful ripples spread through the empty space. Her charge alone was strong enough to shake the entire area around them.
Holding her Shapeshifting Golem Weapon tightly, she infused the power of Harmony and Holy Light into it, transforming its shape into something greater than the Eclipsing Blade.
“Daylight Blade!”
FLAAASH!
Her sword shone with such intense brightness that the Devils hesitated, screaming in pain as they covered their eyes. Elizabeth swung the blade in one clean motion.
“Grass Cutting!”
SLAAASH!
A single rapid, precise, and dexterous horizontal slash cut through the Nightmares and burned them into ashes instantly. Their agonized screams echoed loudly through the dark sky.
“Gyaaaaaeeegghhh!”
More than half of them vanished in that one strike, but their cores remained intact and began slowly regenerating new bodies from within.
“I see what you meant. They’re going to keep regrowing endlessly unless I destroy the cores,” Elizabeth said with a firm nod, rubbing her scaled chin thoughtfully. “Well, I don’t have much time so… I’ll improvise!”
She quickly used Skill Weave and combined her Imaginary Sword Technique, Grass Cutting, with Eternal Blade Arts and Knife Rain.
“Grass Cutting + Eternal Blade Arts + Knife Rain.”
The result was immediate and powerful.
“Sword Light!”
FLAAASH!
Bright light surged from the Daylight Blade, its radiance taking the form of countless piercing sword blades. She swung once more, and the Sword Light tore through every visible foe at the same time.
The Nightmare Devils panicked and fired Nightmare Fireballs and Nightmare Ice in desperation, but the attacks simply bounced off Elizabeth’s white scales without dealing any damage.
Her own assault proved far more effective.
SLASH! SLASH! SLASH! SLASH!
Because the attack was pure light itself, it reached everything light could touch and easily pierced their bodies. Blades of concentrated light stabbed into their cores one by one with precise control, destroying them completely.
The Lesser Nightmares exploded into dust and vanished, their Nightmare Cores falling apart. Elizabeth caught the fragments with her Psychic Powers and drew them close, practicing Telekinesis the way her grandpa had taught her over the past week.
“Telekinesis is really handy!” she smiled. “My range isn’t that big yet… but it’s enough for this.”
She used Matter Restructuration to unify the broken Nightmare Cores and fully repaired them.
“Can’t we eat some of them?!” Dryad asked eagerly. “I’m starving!”
“Wow, that looks delicious…” Mongrel swallowed hard, his eyes locked on the cores.
“...?”
“...!”
Even Ariel and Asmodeus, her Living Grimoires, showed clear interest.
“Yeah, I’ll feed you guys right away.”
While continuing to fly, Elizabeth used Harmonious Chaos Reversal on several of the Nightmare Cores. These cores were richer than ordinary Nightmare Beast cores. Once reversed, they became pinkish Dream Cores filled with pure dream energy free of any negative force.
She fed ten of them to Ariel, who swallowed them happily, opening and flickering its pages with satisfaction.
Then she fed ten Nightmare Cores to Asmodeus, and five each to Dryad and Mongrel, who crunched them down quickly like tasty snacks.
“Okay, but why do we only get five?!” Dryad asked angrily.
“Yeah!” Mongrel added with clear annoyance.
“Because you guys barely helped,” Elizabeth replied firmly. “And I am prioritizing Ariel and Asmodeus so they can level up!”
