My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 426: Boring
"Mm, I just closed my eyes for a moment. Is the competition over? Can we go home now?" Su Miaoke asked with a yawn.
She was sick of this place and had wanted to leave for a while. It was just too boring.
"There are just a few last things to take care of. Once that’s done, we can head back," Chu Feng said. "But before we do, we need to make a trip to the Southern Border. I did make a promise, after all."
"Okay! I can check out the local food there. I’ve heard the Southern Border has a lot of delicious things to eat," Su Miaoke said with a smile, her spirits lifting at the mere mention of food.
"Is food all you ever think about?" Chu Feng said with a laugh.
He doted on Su Miaoke and was incredibly fond of her. It was a feeling that was hard to put into words.
"Of course! In life, eating is a very important matter," Su Miaoke said, nodding earnestly.
"Well now, what are you two chatting so happily about?" At that moment, Bai Han walked in and asked.
"Didn’t you already leave?" Chu Feng asked, looking at Bai Han as she appeared before him.
"I already made a trip back to take Bai Xue and the others home. The Sect Leader sent me to ask you what your plans are for tomorrow," Bai Han said.
"No plans. I’ll just go with the flow. If anyone dares to cause trouble, I’ll cut them down. Simple as that," Chu Feng said.
"The Sect Leader guessed as much. If they challenge the Chu Family and our Celestial Sword Sect this time, the outcome will be tragic for them," Bai Han said with a smile.
She already knew just how powerful Chu Feng was. If those guys really dared to cause trouble, they would die a truly miserable death.
After all, Chu Feng wasn’t even afraid of experts at the Martial Arts Limit. Who could possibly be his opponent?
"You all should know what I’m like. When it comes to ordinary Martial Arts Peak Realm cultivators, I’ll cut down as many as they send. Even those at the Martial Arts Limit are no use; they’ll fall by my hand just the same. Anyone who dares to make a move on me will live to regret it."
"If I don’t teach them a lesson, they’ll really think I’m a pushover. Once I kill a few of these hotheads, the rest will learn to behave," Chu Feng said.
"The Sect Leader and I aren’t worried about you. It’s just that after this, the entire Martial Arts Realm will likely be thrown into turmoil. This is bound to shake the whole Martial Cultivation Realm—it might cause an even bigger sensation than the Heaven-Slaying Sword Emperor did back in his day," Bai Han said, looking at Chu Feng seriously.
"Ah, let’s not talk about all that. It’s getting late, let’s all go get some rest. If someone challenges the Celestial Sword Sect, you can handle them," Chu Feng said.
"Why should I be the one to fight? Whether they challenge the Celestial Sword Sect or the Chu Family, you’re up. I’ll just watch from the sidelines," Bai Han said.
"Damn, are you guys trying to work me to death?" Chu Feng said.
"Well, that’s what you get for being the strongest," Bai Han said with a smile.
After that, they each returned to their rooms to rest. The night passed quietly, with no unusual incidents.
「The next day」 The entire Big Snow Plateau began to bustle with activity.
Although many people had left the previous night, quite a few had remained. They all gathered around the fighting stage, waiting for the sparring meet to begin.
"The Central Plains Wang Family challenges the Northwest Xu Family!" At that moment, an incredibly arrogant roar echoed out.
"Hmph, the Xu Family? You worthless trash have come seeking death?" the other party retorted just as arrogantly, not holding back at all.
They were all at the Martial Arts Peak Realm, and the roars they unleashed with their Spiritual Power shook the entire Big Snow Plateau.
With challenges being shouted like that, it was impossible for anyone to sleep, even if they wanted to.
’People are already starting to issue challenges this early? I wonder if anyone will challenge the Chu Family.’ Chu Feng thought as he watched from the side.
Su Miaoke, at his side, hadn’t slept either. She had been too excited the night before, eagerly anticipating today’s sparring meet.
"They’re already fighting over there! Get up, quickly, let’s go watch!" Su Miaoke said, pulling the still-sleeping Chu Feng to his feet.
"Why should I get up? No one’s challenging me. What’s it got to do with me?" Chu Feng said.
"It doesn’t matter if it has anything to do with you, just get up! Let’s go watch the matches together. Their fights are so incredible! Much more exciting than the battles in the Foundation Establishment Realm," Su Miaoke said excitedly.
"Then you should watch more. You can accumulate some combat experience, which would be helpful for you. Your current combat awareness is just too weak," Chu Feng said.
"Hmph. Fine, I’ll go by myself then. Are you really not getting up?" Su Miaoke asked.
"I’m not going. There’s nothing interesting about it. If you want to go, go by yourself. Just come and get me if someone challenges the Chu Family or the Celestial Sword Sect," Chu Feng said.
In Chu Feng’s eyes, these people’s skills were simply pathetic. There was nothing interesting to see.
"Fine, then," Su Miaoke said with a nod. She walked out of the Venerable Hall by herself to watch the fights.
The battles raged on, incredibly fierce.
To everyone’s surprise, however, no one challenged Chu Feng.
In truth, the initial fights mostly involved experts from the Foundation Establishment Realm. There were very few from the Martial Arts Peak Realm; only a handful of matches in total.
