My Mother-in-Law Gifted Me a Building
Chapter 405: Another Round
However, Ling Yun’er’s Charming Power was only effective on the less disciplined men in the audience.
It was completely useless against He Kong.
So, when they fought, Ling Yun’er couldn’t gain the slightest advantage and had lost her edge entirely.
After all, He Kong’s strength was not to be underestimated. She was incredibly agile, capable of crossing several meters in a single step—her Body Skill was formidable.
As expected of a disciple from the Overseas Immortal Mountains, her power was extraordinary.
Ling Yun’er seemed far more delicate in comparison, lacking He Kong’s raw power.
The two were evenly matched at first, but as time went on, Ling Yun’er gradually began to lose ground, her disadvantage becoming apparent.
In truth, her strength was significantly inferior to He Kong’s. Ling Yun’er primarily relied on her Charming Power to bewilder opponents and seize victory.
With her Charming Power rendered useless, she was naturally no match for He Kong and seemed a clear notch below.
He Kong’s will was incredibly firm, and her strength was formidable.
SHIING!
A flash of sword light streaked past. A lock of Ling Yun’er’s hair was severed, and the right side of her collar was sliced open. The Sword Qi had grazed her neck.
"You’ve lost!" He Kong said coldly.
Although she was a woman, her voice was icy and more akin to a man’s.
"Impossible!" Ling Yun’er clutched her severed collar, her face dark with fury.
"If you refuse to concede, there is only one outcome: death!" He Kong leveled her longsword at Ling Yun’er, her voice utterly devoid of emotion.
As a disciple of the Overseas Immortal Mountains, she had undergone inhuman training since childhood and had long since forged a heart of iron.
Although Ling Yun’er was seething, she knew she had well and truly lost. If she didn’t admit it now, the only result would be death.
"I concede!" Ling Yun’er said, her voice laced with bitterness. After all, her own life was more important.
From his seat among the Martial Arts Venerables, Chu Feng saw this unfold. A smug smile touched his lips as he said, "Venerable Xue Feng, you saw that clearly, right? I won."
As he said this, Chu Feng extended his hand toward the Seven Kills Sword Master.
The Seven Kills Sword Master didn’t hesitate, immediately handing ten Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones to Chu Feng.
"Well, what can I say? When luck is on your side, you just can’t stop it. I never thought I’d earn five Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones just by watching a match. This is great!" Chu Feng grinned smugly.
He immediately gave half to Su Miaoke.
"Here, honey, this is for you," Chu Feng said openly, not caring that everyone was watching and listening.
Venerable Xue Feng’s face was twisted with anger, his expression so dark it could practically drip water.
He was so full of hot air from his anger he could have powered a freight train.
"Venerable Xue Feng, don’t get too worked up. It’s not worth ruining your health over it. It’s just five Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones. To your Snow Mountain Sect, that should be pocket change, right?"
"Hmph. Kid, you just got lucky this time. Don’t celebrate too early. Ling Yun’er was only fighting a woman; if her opponent had been a man, she would have won for sure," Venerable Xue Feng retorted, still refusing to accept the outcome.
Chu Feng, however, remained unfazed. "Say whatever you want, you still lost," he said calmly. "If you can’t accept it, we can keep betting. I’m just worried you don’t have that many Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones on you."
Soon, the next round of matches began, featuring the two from Blood Blade Manor.
Though arrogant, their strength was undeniably terrifying.
Unsurprisingly, both won their respective matches. Their opponents were no match for them and were completely crushed.
By the fourth match, it was the Wudang Sect disciple’s turn, and he also won his match with ease.
After him was You Qingtian of the Netherworld Sect. The guy was incredibly powerful and advanced without any trouble.
It was mainly because the top ten from Chu Feng’s Southern Region were exceptionally strong, and most of them won their matches.
Soon, it was time for the tenth fighter, who turned out to be Bai Xue of the Celestial Sword Sect.
Just then, a smirk appeared on Venerable Xue Feng’s face. It was obvious the man was cooking up some new scheme.
This time, even Xue Wujian of the Snow Sword Sect became interested and wanted to make a bet with Chu Feng.
Her opponent was also a disciple from the Overseas Immortal Mountains, one known as Dragon Hall.
The name alone suggested this person’s origins were anything but ordinary.
"Chu Feng, got the guts to bet again?" Venerable Xue Feng challenged. His expression made it clear he was eager, practically buzzing with anticipation.
"Oh? Venerable Xue Feng, still not giving up? You want to win back the Martial Cultivation Spirit Stones you just lost? That’s a tall order..." Chu Feng deliberately put on a thoughtful and hesitant expression.
Seeing this, Venerable Xue Feng sneered. "What? Getting cold feet? Bai Xue is from your Celestial Sword Sect, isn’t she? The next Sect Leader, even. In terms of seniority, that makes her your senior sister, right? Have you no confidence in her? You don’t believe she can win?"
