Chu Feng led the rest of the Chu Family into the dining hall to eat.

They had no choice—the Western Celestial King had personally requested Chu Feng’s presence.

The rest of the Chu Family naturally benefited from his reflected glory. Otherwise, they never would have had the chance to eat here.

The entire military base was heavily fortified, with weapons and top-of-the-line electronic equipment visible everywhere.

After all, this was a key military base for defending the border, so its security was naturally top-notch.

Chu Feng and Chu Tianshan sat with the Western Celestial King and the others. Everyone at their table was in the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm.

Aside from the Western Celestial King and Jiang Tao’s uncle, Jiang He, Chu Feng didn’t recognize anyone else.

’But one thing is certain: these are all high-ranking military commanders with immense status. After all, could anyone with a low rank dine with the Western Celestial King?’

"I’m sure this man needs no introduction. This is Venerable Chu Feng, Young Master of the Chu Family!" the Western Celestial King announced, introducing Chu Feng to the group.

"Sirs, it’s an honor," Chu Feng said, rising and cupping his fist with a smile.

"Venerable Chu Feng," everyone replied in kind, cupping their fists respectfully.

After all, the status that came with being the Martial Arts Venerable of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony was undeniable.

"You must be Brother Tianshan, right? It’s been ages since we last saw each other at the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony. We were all just youngsters back then," an older man spoke up with a smile.

"And you are, sir?" Chu Tianshan asked, unable to place the man at first.

"I’m from the Jiangnan Wang Family. I’m not surprised you don’t recognize me, Brother Tianshan," the man said with a laugh.

Years ago, the Chu Family was suppressed by the Qing Gang and ultimately had no choice but to go into seclusion.

But who could have predicted that decades later, Chu Feng would make such a powerful return, and that the family would produce two masters at the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm.

One of whom, so young, had even become the Martial Arts Venerable of the Martial Arts Grand Ceremony.

"I remember you! You’re the rascal who kicked me into a pond back in the day! It was you!" Chu Tianshan suddenly recalled, roaring with laughter.

"Hahaha, so you finally remember, Brother Tianshan! Wasn’t it because you were being so arrogant? I couldn’t stand it, so I had to do something," the old man from the Jiangnan Wang Family chuckled.

The Jiangnan Wang Family was also incredibly powerful, their influence practically making them the undisputed rulers of Jiangnan province.

’Chu Feng, for his part, had no interest in such matters and didn’t care to know more.’

"Arrogant? How was I arrogant? You couldn’t beat me in a fair fight, so you launched a sneak attack! I never thought a rascal like you would also make it to the Martial Arts Peak Realm," Chu Tianshan retorted.

"Hahaha! That just proves I’m much stronger than you! I broke through years before you did. No matter how you slice it, I’m still stronger. When it comes to seniority in the Martial Dao, I’m a cut above you," the old man from the Wang Family laughed.

"Cut the crap. We’re all on the same level now. What’s this nonsense about being a cut above? Drink up!" Chu Tianshan said.

"Fine by me! Let’s drink! We’ll see who drinks who under the table!" the Wang Family elder shot back with a grin.

Although the two were bickering, their bond was clearly strong. They hadn’t seen each other in years, and reminiscing about old times naturally brought a wave of nostalgia.

"Hah! As if I’m afraid of you when it comes to drinking. The first one to pass out is the loser!" Chu Tianshan declared. When it came to drinking, he truly feared no one.

"Brother Tianshan, it’s been a long time," another elder said to Chu Tianshan with a smile.

This was an elder from the Zhao Family, with whom he was also well-acquainted.

"Indeed. It must have been twenty, thirty years. You’re still looking hale and hearty," Chu Tianshan said with a laugh.

"Of course! If I wasn’t, would I even be here?" the Zhao Family elder laughed.

"You’re a senior from the Zhao Family?" Chu Feng asked.

"Venerable Chu Feng, this old man is indeed from the Zhao Family. But I wouldn’t dare call myself your senior—I’m not worthy. With your strength, you should be *my* senior. Slaying the Gang Leader of the Qing Gang, then felling Xue Wujian of the Snow Sword Sect with a single strike... such power is beyond our reach," the old man said with a sigh.

These weren’t words of empty flattery; he spoke from the heart.

For although the Zhao Family elder was also in the Human Martial Arts Peak Realm, his strength was rather average. Relatively speaking, he was on the weaker side, likely comparable to the former Gang Leader of the Qing Gang.

As for comparing him to Xue Wujian of the Snow Sword Sect, there was no contest—he wouldn’t stand a chance.

"Let’s not dwell on the past. I know a few of the younger generation from your Zhao Family—Zhao Qinghan and Zhao Quan," Chu Feng said.

"I’ve heard the young ones mention it. I must thank you for that, Venerable Chu Feng. Without your help, they would have been in grave danger," the Zhao Family elder said.

"It was nothing. After all, the Gang Leader of the Qing Gang was coming for me anyway. By the way, are they here for the competition?" Chu Feng asked.

"They didn’t. I had originally intended for them to, but when I saw how many people were here and how powerful they all were, I didn’t let her sign up. Her abilities are still too weak," the Zhao Family elder explained.
