Ji Fan then pointed at Lin Shishi and rebuked her.

"I invited you for a drink because you're an old classmate of mine. Otherwise, you think I'd give you the time of day?"

"I would have let it go, but now you've slandered me for no reason. You're not getting off that easy!"

"If you don't give me a satisfactory explanation, none of you are leaving!"

Ji Fan reached out to grab Lin Shishi.

Terrified, Lin Shishi turned and hid behind Mu Lin. Mu Lin extended an arm to protect her, then kicked Ji Fan, sending him flying.

A fight was about to break out! Seeing this, the other guests hastily left, not daring to linger.

Ji Fan, writhing in pain, grew even more furious. He pointed at Mu Lin and roared, "Manager Ma, get him! I want him to never be able to walk again!"

Manager Ma was thrilled. This was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

"Get out here! Someone's causing trouble!"

In an instant, a large group of people rushed out from the back.

The security guards were the first to emerge, followed by waiters and cooks, all brandishing improvised weapons.

Mu Lin was completely unfazed. He effortlessly took them all down.

These people had no Martial Dao foundation; they were just common thugs in a brawl.

Manager Ma tried to run, but Mu Lin struck him in the back with a palm, knocking him unconscious instantly. A mouthful of blood welled up in his chest.

From now on, he would likely be nothing more than a vegetable.

Ji Fan never expected Mu Lin to be so formidable. He quickly pulled out his phone to call for help. "Brother Ran! Help me! I'm at Wanhua Restaurant!"

But Mu Lin paid Ji Fan no mind. His attention was on a Martial Arts Grandmaster who was descending the stairs with a grave expression.

The man's aura was incredibly powerful. In just a moment, it was clear he was on a completely different level.

'He appears to be in his forties, with a profound foundation,' Mu Lin noted. 'His foundation is truly solid.'

'I never thought I'd find an expert of this caliber in a place like Di Yang.'

'He isn't trying to advance further, but is instead repeatedly polishing his skills within the Grandmaster Realm.'

'The depth of his Qi is far beyond that of an ordinary Martial Arts Grandmaster.'

The Martial Arts Grandmaster looked at Mu Lin, his tone full of authority.

"This is a property of the Jade Pavilion District. By causing such a disturbance here, young friend, you show our district no respect. Do you have any idea of the consequences you will face?"

The middle-aged man was condescending, looking at Mu Lin as if he were an ant.

Mu Lin replied calmly, "Are you clear on who actually started the trouble? I came here to eat, but your people attacked me. It's only natural that I would fight back."

"Or do you think I should have just let them beat me to death?"

The middle-aged man said, "When the Jade Pavilion District wants to beat someone, the result is the same whether you fight back or lie down and take it."

Lin Shishi sensed the dangerous atmosphere. If this escalated, it wouldn't be good for Mu Lin.

"My name is Lin Shishi. My father is Lin Jin. If we have offended you in any way, I hope you can be magnanimous!"

The middle-aged man said coldly, "Magnanimous? On what grounds? Because of your Lin Family's name? Let me be clear: the Lin Family isn't important enough for the Jade Pavilion District to give you that much face!"

"You stepping up is useless. Even if your grandfather, Lin Tian, came, it would still be useless!"

With that, the middle-aged man's body trembled, and his aura instantly surged to a terrifying level.

Countless streams of Qi Force erupted from his body, forming what felt like a solid wall crashing down on Lin Shishi.

Lin Shishi couldn't perceive it clearly, but she was overcome by an inexplicable, bone-chilling fear.

It was as if some invisible thing was targeting her, but she didn't know what it was.

Mu Lin reached out, pulled Lin Shishi to his side, and said, "Stay close."

Then, he made a grasping motion with his hand, and an invisible mass suddenly appeared in his palm, distorting the very light around it.

"What is that?" Lin Shishi was utterly stunned. This wasn't the first time she had seen Martial Artists clash, but she had never witnessed such a shocking technique.

Mu Lin tossed the sphere in his palm to the side, and it slammed into the wall.

With a massive BOOM, an entire section of the wall collapsed.

The middle-aged man's face turned pale with shock. He truly hadn't expected Mu Lin to be this strong.

Mu Lin stared daggers at the middle-aged man, furious.

He hadn't even realized just how powerful the man's attack had been.

It was enough to shatter a wall.

'If that had hit Lin Shishi, what would have happened to her?!'

'This man is too vicious.' Mu Lin had initially considered sparing him, but he never imagined the man would be so malicious. The energy in that attack was enough to turn Lin Shishi to ash.

'Since that's the case, sparing him is out of the question.'

The middle-aged man's face turned ugly when his presumed killing blow failed. "You're so young, yet you have the strength of a Grandmaster! Unbelievable!"

Mu Lin stomped his foot, and his body shot forward like a shadow, straight toward the middle-aged man.

He formed his fingers into a blade and lunged.

The middle-aged man focused his gaze, but Mu Lin was already upon him, a blur of motion.

The blade-like energy struck his body, tearing it open.

The middle-aged man was stunned. He looked down at the gruesome wound, from which his intestines were now spilling.

"Gra…"

If that were all, he might have been considered lucky. But what was more terrifying was the violent True Qi that ravaged his entire body. A sweet taste filled the man's mouth as he spewed a mouthful of blood and collapsed.

His fate uncertain, Mu Lin stepped forward and stomped on the man's abdomen. The middle-aged man died instantly.

There was nothing special about him in the end.

Ji Fan trembled uncontrollably. In his eyes, Mu Lin was practically a demon.

He pointed a shaking finger at Mu Lin and shrieked, "He's from the Jade Pavilion District! How dare you touch him? How many lives do you think you have to lose?!"

Mu Lin said, "He's dead. What's done is done."

He made a grasping motion, and the jade pendant on Ji Fan's chest flew into Mu Lin's hand.

Ji Fan was terrified by this move but didn't dare to react.

Mu Lin asked, "Who gave you this?"

Ji Fan stammered, "It's a family heirloom! Don't you dare break it! You can't afford to replace it!"

Mu Lin sneered. "A family heirloom? You're a punk with no family to speak of. What heirloom could your family possibly pass down?"

Mu Lin could tell it was a crudely made object. It looked like a jade pendant, but it was really just plaster that had been glued together and polished. It wasn't the least bit exquisite.

Lin Shishi walked over, saw the object, and asked, "This is the thing that almost got me into huge trouble?"

Mu Lin said, "Yes. Its bewitching power is actually quite low, but if you're not on guard or don't know how to defend against it, it's easy to fall for its trap."

Lin Shishi instantly grew nervous. "Ah? Is that right!"

"He's definitely harmed a lot of people with this," Mu Lin said flatly. "Every single one of his injustices must be brought to light and righted."

Lin Shishi couldn't believe that the class president she once admired had become such a despicable person. She was furious.

"So you've got some sense after all, kid! Now you know who you've provoked, right? Get on your knees and kowtow to me right now, and I might let you choose a dignified way to die!"

"Apologize? Why should I?" Mu Lin flicked a few silver needles into Ji Fan's body, and Ji Fan was immediately plunged into excruciating pain.

"AH! How could this…"

Ji Fan felt as if countless blades were repeatedly scraping his body. The pain, it was too much.

Mu Lin rolled his eyes and said, "You just stay put for now. I'll deal with the dogs from the Jade Pavilion District first, then I'll take care of you."

Terrified, Ji Fan had suffered enough. He no longer dared to show any sign of resistance.

Mu Lin waited calmly.

Meanwhile, Lin Shishi used her phone to report the situation to Lin Jin. Lin Jin told her to trust Mu Lin and let him handle it first. If he couldn't, Lin Jin would send a car to pick them up.

A short while later, a car pulled up. A very angry-looking young man got out and strode into the restaurant.

This was the "Young Master Ran" that Ji Fan had mentioned.

Wanhua Restaurant was a property of the Jade Pavilion District. Since its establishment, it had done exceedingly well, generating immense profits and a steady stream of income for the district.

Young Master Ran had specifically assigned a Martial Arts Grandmaster to keep watch over the place and prevent troublemakers.

Young Master Ran never imagined that a restaurant he had invested so much in would be wrecked.

Was this some kind of joke?

"Which friend is unhappy today? Step forward and let me, Ran Quan, get acquainted!" Ran Quan scanned the restaurant, though there weren't many people left.

In fact, only Mu Lin and Lin Shishi remained.

He pointed at Mu Lin and said, "You're the one who wrecked my place, aren't you?"
