My Level Zero System
Chapter 336 - 336: Grand-class vs Grand-class
Right at that moment, a voice reached his ears.
"Don't worry."
"She won't do that."
It was an incredibly steady and calm voice, as if it had weathered countless storms throughout life to the point where even great upheavals could not change its tone. Faith quickly turned his head toward the source. Not just him, but everyone else did the same, only to see a man who shouldn't have been there—or more accurately, someone they hadn't noticed from the beginning.
He was a tall, muscular man, his physique evident even through his clothes. He had dark skin, seemingly unlike the people of the north. On his arms and neck were strange, somewhat ethereal patterns—tattoos that seemed to hide something within their lines. His messy black hair was tied neatly behind him, and his chiseled face was as stern as a carved stone.
"Master Ebadon..."
It was Faith who spoke.
Kanzax Academy had 12 Masters, each of whom was an exceptionally powerful high-class Magus, with one exception.
That was Master Ebadon.
He had existed for so long that even previous generations of Masters had seen him. As for his true strength, it was even more unpredictable—this was the consensus of high-class Magus who had ever had the chance to interact with him.
However, at this moment, a bolder suspicion dawned on Faith.
"Could it be..."
But even faster than Faith's thoughts, Ebadon vanished from the pocket dimension.
Ebadon appeared in the center of Adia's inner city, standing in his usual leisurely posture with his arms crossed. Even standing close to a grand-class Magus like Morizion did not faze him.
Morizion became alert; he could not see through this man.
At the scene right now, the only person Morizion could not see through was Principal Banderia. This was within his expectations—after all, he had heard of the reputation of the Great Witch of Space long ago. But this strange, tall man was someone he simply did not recognize.
"Who are you?"
Morizion asked in a cold voice. It seemed that today, things would not go according to his plan.
He was met with Ebadon's extreme composure.
"Just a teacher. I apologize for ruining your fun, but Kanzax Academy will not hand over its students in such a manner."
"However, if you still insist on doing something, I can satisfy you."
After saying that, Ebadon turned toward the Principal, bowing slightly and placing a hand over his heart as if asking for permission.
"Principal, please allow me to act on my own whim just this once."
The Principal paused for a moment, then spoke in a relaxed tone.
"Go ahead and act, Ebadon. I will handle the rest."
"Thank you for your fulfillment."
"Tch... you're always so serious, Ebadon..."
Having received the Principal's approval, Ebadon finally turned back. From his body, a terrifying aura erupted, not at all inferior to that of the Sword Clan's Ancestor.
"Another grand-class Magus!? What kind of day is this?"
Even though the high-class Magus of the noble families had experienced many things, if space hadn't been frozen right now, they would have definitely been left jaw-dropped.
In a single day, the city of Adia had received the descent of three grand-class Magus! This had never happened before; there was no precedent!
Kain, watching from the side, also widened his eyes in anticipation.
The battle between the two high-class Magus, Budot and Cecilia, had already opened Kain's eyes and taught him a great deal. It felt as if a new world was unfolding before him.
Why were the moves—the fire, the wind—so different despite being the same elements? Why was the gap so vast?
Could a person's ego, will, and perception truly override natural laws and objective reality?
These were the questions Kain pondered. Witnessing an uninhibited confrontation between two high-class Magus had partially lifted the veil of mystery for him. He believed that even if his magic level did not progress, simply returning and digesting the gains from this encounter would push his strength much further.
Naturally, Kain had also clearly read the Sword Clan Ancestor's intentions through that proposal; there would be no more direct conflict. However, life was indeed full of surprises.
Master Ebadon appeared, displaying an aura that was in no way inferior to Morizion's. And now, Kain was about to witness a clash between two grand-class Magus!
"State your name. I do not fight nameless people."
"Ebadon."
Morizion searched his memory but could not find any grand-class Magus that matched this name. Therefore, this Ebadon must be someone who had only recently broken through to the grand-class in this new era. If that was the case, he had nothing to worry about.
The battle began without a signal. An [Earth Golem] the size of a normal human suddenly appeared in front of Morizion, throwing a punch toward him.
One should not look at its "small" appearance and underestimate this attack. None of the high-class Magus present, no matter how excellent, could have stopped it. For a grand-class Magus, the magic of a high-class Magus was like natural law being erased and overwritten. If even the core power of a high-class Magus was like that, what thick wall or deep moat could stop a punch from this "ordinary" golem?
Battle was not a matter of "the bigger, the better" or "the wider the range." That was merely the limited perception of mortals toward true power.
"Is it [Earth Magic]? Not a big problem," Morizion thought.
Even if that golem could slay any high-class Magus in a single blow, possessing power belonging to the grand-class, it was not enough to threaten him.
With a speed that could not be caught by the naked eye, he drew a sword from the void—an ordinary sword that looked like nothing special.
Then, the [Earth Golem] was sliced into nothingness, completely disappearing.
Few knew that the magic Morizion had pushed to the grand-class was a rather rare element: [Life Magic].
At early levels, [Life Magic] was purely a healing tool. Only at higher levels did it offer some self-defense. But for a grand-class Magus of [Life Magic] like Morizion, it was as terrifying as anything else.
his sword strike snatched away the "life" of all things. In this world, anything without life is dead.
He is the lord of both life and death!
