Chapter 791: 791

The vicious dog lunged at empty air. It flew into a rage from the humiliation and pounced toward Yang Qi, determined to reach its target.

Without a single glance, Yang Qi casually struck out with his palm while shielding the mother and daughter. The vicious dog was sent flying, and the young man riding it was thrown off as well.

The dog let out a few whimpers as it crashed to the ground, then breathed its last. It had been raised on Elixirs, but even so, it couldn’t withstand a single palm strike from Yang Qi.

"How dare you! You killed this young master’s beloved pet! You’re seeking death!" Yagyu Muju roared as he scrambled up from the ground. Just then, a dozen motorcycles roared up and surrounded Yang Qi.

Yagyu Muju roared, his face contorted with rage.

Yang Qi ignored the trash and turned to the mother and daughter. "Are you hurt?"

"No... no, we aren’t. Thank you. Thank you so much," the woman stammered, finally recovering from her terror and thanking Yang Qi profusely. Then, her face filled with terror, she turned to Yagyu Muju. "Young Master Yagyu, I’m so sorry! My daughter got in your beloved dog’s way. Please forgive her! She’s just a child, she doesn’t know any better!"

Yang Qi was stunned. This is Sea City in Dragon Country. How can something like this be happening? The young man was clearly the one in the wrong, yet this mother is the one begging for forgiveness. But on second thought, he understood. Most people, after all, live at the bottom rungs of society. They don’t want to cause trouble, nor can they afford to. Besides these powerless pleas, what else could they possibly do? He sighed.

Yagyu Muju sneered. The woman’s pleas elicited no sympathy from him; on the contrary, his attitude grew even more arrogant. Gripping the dog leash, he viciously whipped the woman with it. "Get lost, you wretch! You caused my beloved dog to be killed! Your life and your daughter’s will be my compensation!"

The woman screamed in pain as a deep, red welt appeared on her skin. Terrified, the little girl clung to her mother and burst into tears again. She was only three years old. How could she bear to see her mother being beaten?

Yagyu Muju had gone too far, and the surrounding crowd could no longer watch in silence.

"That’s outrageous!"

"It was clearly the dog’s fault!"

"Exactly! That Yagyu Muju is completely unreasonable!"

"He’s attacking her! Someone call the police!"

"Right, call the Heavenly Supervision Hall!"

"All of you, shut up!" Yagyu Muju bellowed. "I’ll kill anyone who dares to call the police!"

With a wave of his hand, the Martial Artists behind him charged forward. They snatched the onlookers’ phones and smashed them underfoot. It was utter lawlessness.

"Heh, what a show of force," Yang Qi finally spoke. "Do you really think there’s no one in this world who can handle you?" He had met arrogant people before, but this level of brazenness was rare. To act so wantonly in broad daylight was truly something else.

"You dare meddle in our young master’s affairs, kid? Are you looking for death?" a burly man beside Yagyu Muju stepped forward. Gripping a baseball bat, he stared coldly at Yang Qi. "Get on your knees, give a hundred loud kowtows, and then scram. Otherwise, you’ll get a taste of this bat."

"Make me kneel? I’m afraid you’re not worthy," Yang Qi said coolly. "Besides, that would be a very dangerous thing for you."

The burly man roared with laughter. "Hahaha! I’m not worthy? Our young master isn’t worthy? Let me tell you something, nobody around here dares to speak to us like that! For your information, we have connections to the Wei Family!"

"Wasn’t the Wei Family wiped out?" Yang Qi asked flatly.

"The Wei Family may be gone, but we have other backers," the burly man scoffed. "Ever heard of the Martial Alliance? We’re very good business partners of theirs. So, do you think you dare to provoke us? Or do you dare to provoke the Martial Alliance?"

"Why are you wasting your breath on him? Kill him! Avenge my dog!" Yagyu Muju roared. He was clearly losing his patience, desperate to kill Yang Qi and avenge his beloved pet.

The burly man nodded and glared at Yang Qi. "Your luck’s run out, kid. Eat this!" He swung the baseball bat with both hands, smashing it viciously toward Yang Qi’s head.

This man’s Combat Power was considerable; he was actually a First Rank Overlord. His arm muscles bulged, and the explosive force of his swing made the baseball bat whistle through the air as it shot toward Yang Qi’s head. The target was clear: to kill Yang Qi on the spot, giving him no chance to react.

A murderous glint flashed in Yang Qi’s eyes. These people would kill at the drop of a hat. Their arrogance was boundless.

"Get lost!" Yang Qi snorted, striking the incoming bat with his bare hand.

The baseball bat bent grotesquely from the impact and slammed back into the burly man’s face. The man’s face instantly deformed, and he let out a scream like a stuck pig.

In a single move, he had defeated the burly First Rank Overlord. The surrounding crowd erupted in cheers.

"Alright!"

"That was brilliant!"

"That young man is incredible!"

"They needed to be taught a lesson! Let them know we have powerful Martial Artists in Dragon Country, too!"

Even though they were ordinary people, the onlookers knew Yang Qi was no common man after seeing him bend a baseball bat with one blow. Their excitement quickly turned to worry. "But he injured one of Yagyu Muju’s bodyguards. Won’t they all attack him now?" someone murmured.

"Oh no, they’re definitely going to gang up on him," another added.

The crowd grew anxious again. They wanted to help, but as ordinary citizens, how could they?

"AAAAH! You bastard, you dare to hurt me?! I’ll kill you! I’LL KILL YOU!" the burly man shrieked. He scrambled up from the ground, his face a bloody mess, and charged at Yang Qi again, completely crazed with the desire for revenge.

"You’re seeking death!" Yang Qi had not intended to kill, but since the man was so persistent, he would not be merciful.

With a flick of his finger, a fireball shot out and instantly engulfed the man. His screams intensified as he thrashed wildly within the flames, trying to escape. It was futile. None of his companions dared to approach.

In less than a minute, he was burned to ashes.

"You bastard! How dare you harm one of my men! You’re dead!" Yagyu Muju stared at Yang Qi, his eyes filled with a crazed, murderous light. "However, I am feeling merciful. Cripple your own Martial Arts, and I might consider letting you live."

Of course, he had no intention of sparing Yang Qi. He wanted Yang Qi to cripple himself first so that he could torture him at his leisure. He stood there with a condescending, arrogant look, as if he were the king of this place.

"Heh, I can be merciful, too," Yang Qi sneered. "Cripple your own Martial Arts and give a hundred loud kowtows in front of everyone, and I’ll spare you. Otherwise, you won’t be going home today."
