The families of Sea City returned home with heavy hearts. They never imagined that so much would happen on their trip to Thunder City, or that they would unwittingly end up joining the Star Shining Society. Most terrifying of all, the Wei Family—the number one family in Sea City—had been annihilated.

That night, Yang Qi called Tong Shan and Tong Wu. He explained the situation with Sea City’s ten great families and gave them one order: to rebuild them. After all, with the Wei and Tang Families gone, two new families would have to be brought into the fold. These new additions would benefit the Tong Family, both by helping them and by giving them further control over the other families.

"Mr. Yang, rest assured. We will follow your commands to the letter."

After hanging up, Tong Shan and Tong Wu couldn’t calm their racing hearts for a long time.

The Wei Family was annihilated! Sea City’s number one family had actually been wiped out! Just like that, both Old Master Wei and Wei Lan died in Thunder City.

The Star Shining Society was terrifying. Mr. Yang was terrifying.

Meanwhile, Wu Feng, who had personally witnessed Yang Qi slay Old Master Wei, was making his way back to Sea City in a state of terror. He certainly didn’t dare speak recklessly about what he had seen. Back in the Forbidden Land, Yang Qi had not only warned him but had also spared his life, a fact for which he was genuinely grateful. At the time, he had thought Yang Qi was just another talented youth, perhaps a bit stronger than other Martial Artists his age. This time, however, he was scared half to death.

Yang Qi killed Old Master Wei. The thought is so unimaginable it feels like a dream.

At an intersection in Sea City, Wu Xiu was waiting for Wu Feng. Unexpectedly, he saw the convoy of Sea City’s families arrive before Wu Feng did.

They’re back? They really went to Thunder City? My god, the intel was correct.

Panicked, Wu Xiu hurried forward to greet them, but he couldn’t see any of the Wei Family’s high-ranking members in the crowd. He approached the Chen Family Head and bowed. "Head Chen, why don’t I see Old Master Wei?"

The Chen Family Head shot Wu Xiu a cold glare. The others regarded him with similar indifference, if not outright hostility. This would have been impossible in the past; on the surface, at least, the relationships between the ten great families had always been harmonious. Now, the air was thick with a strange sense of alienation. This was mainly due to Yang Qi’s attitude. He seemed to dislike the Wu Family, and so they followed suit.

It’s one thing for the higher-ranked families to ignore me; that’s understandable. But for those families inferior to our Wu Family to dare disregard my presence? That’s just outrageous! We’re ranked fifth among the ten great families of Sea City, after all!

"Dead!" the Chen Family Head snapped, looking at Wu Xiu with impatience.

"Who’s dead?" Wu Xiu froze, not understanding what the family head meant.

"Old Master Wei is dead. Wei Lan is dead. Wei Ying is dead, too. They’re all dead, and the Wei Family is finished. Understand now?" the Chen Family Head stated coldly.

"Head Chen, you can’t be serious. This isn’t something to joke about." Wu Xiu couldn’t believe it. Wei Ying, number one on the Hidden Dragon List, was dead? The great Old Master Wei, one of Sea City’s three kings, was also dead? This joke was too cruel.

"Who the hell is joking with you? If it weren’t for you, my son wouldn’t have been crippled!" Zheng Yihang suddenly strode over and kicked Wu Xiu. If not for Yang Qi’s specific instructions, he would have killed the man on the spot.

"Head Zheng, what are you doing? You can’t hit me! I didn’t do anything!" Wu Xiu was so scared he wet his pants. Even if Zheng Yihang were to beat him to death, he could only accept it. The Wu Family was no match for the Zheng Family.

Zheng Bunai got out of his car, his face contorted with rage. "You still say you did nothing? If it weren’t for you, why the hell would I have gone to Thunder City? You’re the one who egged me on, you bastard! I wish I could kill you!"

"That’s right, it’s all your fault! You said there was no danger in Thunder City!" another person chimed in.

"If we had just listened to Wu Feng and not gone to Thunder City, this wouldn’t have happened!"

"Chen He’s arms were crippled, Wei Ying is dead and gone, and Zheng Bunai’s Martial Arts were destroyed, leaving him a cripple! In the entire Hidden Dragon Club, only Chu Renxiong is still in one piece. The rest of us were either crippled or beaten half to death!"

"But the Wei Family had it the worst, of course. Both Old Master Wei and the Wei Family Head died there."

Seeing the condition of Zheng Bunai, Chen He, and the others, Wu Xiu finally believed the Chen Family Head’s words. He was utterly terrified. Then he saw the bodies of Old Master Wei and Wei Lan. The sight nearly scared him to death.

In Thunder City... who could possibly kill Old Master Wei? This is too horrifying. Old Master Wei’s Combat Power was renowned not just in Sea City, but throughout the entire Southern Territory! And he was killed in a small place like Thunder City? This... this is terrifying! Wu Xiu was so frightened that he wet his pants again.

"Who... who is that powerful? It couldn’t be... that Yang... Yang Qi, could it?" he stammered aloud. What Wu Xiu feared most was that Yang Qi was behind all of this. If that were the case, his Wu Family was doomed.

"The Star Shining Society!" Zheng Bunai ground out through clenched teeth. He didn’t dare openly hate Yang Qi, but it was only natural to feel anger in private. Still, he wouldn’t speak Yang Qi’s name, just as he had been warned.

"The Star Shining Society! It was the Star Shining Society!" Wu Xiu sucked in a sharp breath. He knew the Star Shining Society was formidable, but he had never imagined they were this powerful. So many families from Sea City had gone, and all of them were crushed. Now, who in the entire Southern Territory would dare to move against the Star Shining Society? That would be suicide.

"You all joined forces and still couldn’t handle the Star Shining Society?" Wu Xiu blurted out.

"Are you looking down on us?"

SLAP!

Zheng Yihang stepped forward and struck Wu Xiu across the face. "If the Star Shining Society hadn’t forbidden us from touching the Wu Family," he roared, "I would have annihilated the Wu Family myself!"

"That’s right! The Wu Family had better watch its back."

"From now on, your family has nothing to do with any of us."

"Now scram! Are you looking to die?"

The angry shouts left Wu Xiu terrified and bewildered. He couldn’t understand what had happened in Thunder City to make them all return with such intense hostility toward his family. He scrambled into his car, practically tumbling inside, and sped off without waiting for Wu Feng.

Wu Xiu returned home, still completely dazed. "There’s trouble!" he shouted, his eyes wide with terror. "Big trouble!"

Wu Heng and Old Master Wu both came to ask what was wrong. Wu Xiu relayed everything he had seen and heard from the Chen Family Head and the others.

"What? Old Master Wei is dead? The Wei Family is finished?"

"And the Star Shining Society did all of this? They crushed all forty-eight of those families?"
