My Harem of Dangerous and Crazy Women as a Reincarnated Necromancer
Chapter 333: The Birth of Mary the Demon Lord (GT Bonus - )
Rebecca pulled out her phone and, after searching for a few seconds, showed her a photo.
"This is him. Does he look familiar, have you seen him around here?... I don’t need much, I just want to know he’s okay."
Mary looked down at the screen and felt her entire world crumble apart.
In the photo was Mark, smiling at the camera with an arm around Rebecca as she planted a tender kiss on his cheek.
Within seconds, a thousand different scenarios crashed through Mary’s mind, and every single one ended the same way.
Rebecca would go in, wake Mark up, and he, sober and clear-headed for the first time in days, would fall right back into her arms. They’d get back together.
And Mary would go back to being what she’d always been.
The girl no one looked at, the one who had dared to dream, for a single night, that someone could love her, only for the world to snatch it away the very next morning in the cruelest way possible.
Because that was how her life worked. Always.
Every time the tiniest spark of happiness dared to show itself, something or someone was there to crush it without mercy.
It was as if the entire world had conspired, from the day she was born, to make her as miserable as possible, to remind her, over and over, that she had no right to anything good.
And something, deep inside Mary, finally broke.
A dark, cold, sharp-edged thought worked its way through the wreckage of her withered heart.
If all of this was already doomed to end badly, if she was going to lose Mark sooner or later no matter what, then at the very least she could make sure of one thing.
Rebecca wouldn’t get her happy ending either.
It didn’t matter what she had to do, or how much worse things got afterward.
In that cracked corner of her soul, where nothing remained but accumulated pain, Mary knew perfectly well that what she was about to do was cruel and heartless.
That she had no right to come between them like this.
But none of that mattered to her anymore.
If she didn’t deserve to be happy, then it simply felt unjust for that woman to get to be happy, after everything she’d put Mark through, after leaving him in pieces.
Mary wasn’t going to let that happen.
And with that decision settling inside her, she lifted her eyes from the screen and looked Rebecca dead in the eye.
"Yeah," she said, her voice calm. "I’ve seen him."
Rebecca’s face lit up instantly, all the exhaustion and worry in her features easing at once.
"Really?!" she asked, stepping toward her with obvious relief. "Thank you, thank you so much. If you could just tell me where he is, even just which apartment, I’d be grateful with all my heart. I’ve been searching for so long I don’t even know what—"
"He’s in my bed."
Rebecca went quiet for a few seconds, her smile frozen in place.
"...What?"
Mary stared straight at her, and a cruel smile, completely unlike the timid, frightened girl she’d always been, slowly spread across her lips.
"You heard me," she said, savoring every word. "Just a little while ago he was pumping his hot cum deep inside my womb."
"..."
"Trying to forget about you, by the way... The woman who left him so broken he ended up drowning himself in alcohol just to stop thinking about her."
Mary leaned in slightly toward her.
"Honestly, I don’t know how you were even able to leave him... Although, thinking about it, maybe I should be thanking you for doing it."
Rebecca stumbled back a step, eyes wide, as if she’d just been slapped.
"Why... why are you saying these things?" she stammered, her voice shaking. "You don’t... you don’t know anything about what happened between us... You have no right to talk like that... You’re nobody to—"
Mary let out a soft, poisonous laugh.
"You really think I don’t know anything? Mark’s told me more than enough to understand exactly what you did to him."
Rebecca opened her mouth, but Mary didn’t give her the chance to respond.
"So no, Rebecca, I’m not some stranger anymore. I’m the person standing by his side now, the one who put him back together after you decided to toss him away like garbage."
"...You’re lying," Rebecca said, shaking her head. "You’re lying... Mark isn’t that kind of man... he would never cheat on me overnight."
Mary didn’t answer with words. Instead, she turned, gripped the doorknob, and threw the apartment door wide open.
"Don’t believe me?" she said, calm. "Then come in and see for yourself."
Rebecca stood frozen in the doorway, staring into the dark apartment with growing unease.
She didn’t want to go any further, but after coming all this way, she couldn’t leave without knowing the truth either, so she took a deep breath and stepped inside.
But what she found on the other side was enough to shatter whatever hope she still had left.
Mark lay naked on the bed, deeply asleep amid the damp, tangled sheets, his clothes scattered across the floor.
"Mark..." she whispered, reaching a trembling hand toward him, as if wanting to touch him, wake him, confirm that this wasn’t real.
But Mary stepped in instantly, blocking her path.
"Don’t wake him," she said quietly, but firmly. "It took him so long to finally sleep this peacefully. I’m not going to let you ruin that now."
Rebecca slowly lowered her hand, then her head, letting her hair fall to cover her face.
"So... that’s how it is, huh?" she murmured, her voice breaking.
"That’s how it is," Mary confirmed, without the slightest hesitation. "So leave and let him be already... You’ve hurt him enough."
Rebecca didn’t answer.
She stood there a few seconds longer, eyes fixed on the floor, lip caught between her teeth, as if fighting hard not to break down in front of her.
Then, without saying another word, she walked out of the apartment.
Mary followed her to the door and stepped out into the hallway after her.
Rebecca stopped just before leaving and tilted her head slightly, never quite looking Mary in the eye.
"...I wish you both the best," she said quietly. "Just... take care of him for me. Make him happy. That’s all I ask."
For a moment, those words made Mary falter.
But she didn’t let it show.
"You can count on it," she answered without the slightest hesitation. "I’m going to make him happier than he ever would have been with you."
Rebecca simply nodded and started walking down the hallway, moving away with slow steps and her head hung low.
And just before she disappeared down the stairs, Mary caught the glint of tears sliding down her cheeks.
