My God-Level System Can Rebuild Civilization in the Apocalypse!
Chapter 297: New Designer
After all, one Gold Brick was already enough for him to directly buy a fairly high-end Lord’s Manor from the Apocalypse Shop. Why would he take a risk in the high-risk zone to buy a house when he did not even know how many traps were waiting for him?
Judging from the prices he had seen last time, this price could already be considered a high one based on the average transaction amounts in the black market.
After all, the lords who came here to buy Lord’s Manor blueprints were looking for something economical and practical. Naturally, they would not be willing to buy something that was too expensive here. If they ended up getting cheated, the loss would be far too great.
Unlike before, when no one had shown any interest, this time Joo Joowon did not have to wait very long. In less than half an hour, customer service immediately contacted him and told him that a designer was willing to accept the order.
If he had no problem with that, customer service would bring them into a private channel where they could communicate directly.
Joo Joowon naturally had no reason to refuse.
[ A-Focused on Lord’s Manor Design and Comfortable Living Studio, Seong Seungmin: Boss, this is my resume. Take a look and see if it catches your eye. ]
Joo Joowon looked at the other party’s name, which gave him a very strong sense of déjà vu, and could not help falling silent for a moment.
He forcefully ignored the username and looked at the resume the other party had sent. It was filled with real photographs of Lord’s Manors that the other party had designed, along with some exaggerated boasts that sounded as though they were describing extremely impressive achievements.
Joo Joowon ignored all of those things. He only paid attention to things written by the other party such as "Ten years since entering the industry, xxxx," trying to use these crude details to deduce the other party’s astrological chart.
However, there was no way for him to investigate any deeper anyway.
Using himself as the reference point, Joo Joowon roughly arranged the other party’s astrological chart. He could not see much else, but he could at least tell one thing. The other party was not a good person.
Joo Joowon was already mentally prepared for this. He stopped and looked through the resume again for a while before asking.
[ Can I see the requirements those Lord’s Manor owners originally made? ]
On the other end, Seong Seungmin raised an eyebrow.
[ Of course. No problem at all. You’re the boss, so your needs come first. Take your time looking through them, Boss. ]
As he spoke, he did not hesitate at all and immediately sent over a large pile of folders.
Joo Joowon opened them and looked through them.
From the initial drafts after communication to the final designs, or even when a lord suddenly had an idea halfway through and wanted to change something, the other party had managed to fulfill the lord’s intentions fairly well. From communication to construction, everything had gone relatively smoothly. At first glance, he seemed to be an excellent designer.
Of course, Joo Joowon also knew that anything that could be used for display was definitely the other party’s best work. Moreover, no one could guarantee that these pictures had not been edited. Although he had not yet discovered how to edit chat records from the Age of Apocalypse, he believed that some player must have already developed such a function.
If players did not try to exploit loopholes in the game, then they would not really be players.
He did not care whether the information the other party provided was genuine or not. He simply wanted to use it as a reference, see whether there were any details he had overlooked, learn about the ideas of other lords, and, while he was at it, conduct an extremely insignificant test of the other party.
After looking through everything for quite a while, Joo Joowon had a general understanding of the situation before replying to Seong Seungmin.
[ Okay. If there are no problems, then I’ll go with you. However, I still have a few requirements. Take a look and see if you can meet them. ]
Considering that he was not short of money now, along with the discoveries he had made recently, Joo Joowon added some new requirements. For example, he did not want any mosquitoes or other insects and creatures to be able to enter his territory, he wanted several more water-source purification devices installed, and he also wanted an observatory added, among other things.
These miscellaneous little requirements did not look difficult to fulfill, but the more there were, the more troublesome they became. The other party, however, agreed to them one by one, while also tactfully rejecting several unreasonable requests. He looked just like a perfectly normal designer, rather than the kind of unscrupulous designer who would blindly agree to every single demand from a wealthy client without thinking twice just to secure the order.
This might also have something to do with the fact that Joo Joowon had chosen a payment system consisting of a deposit and a final payment. Normally, as long as the money had not been fully received and the other party still wanted to get the remaining payment, they would be somewhat more restrained even if they wanted to pull some tricks.
After communicating for a while, Joo Joowon was still quite satisfied. Only then did he replied.
[ Okay. If there are no problems, then let’s sign the contract. ]
Once they reached an agreement, customer service would create a separate product for the lord to purchase. Under the witness of the system, both parties had to abide by the requirements listed on it. The consequences for violating them were quite serious. However, there was also a great deal of room for manipulation within those rules. In the end, it all depended on who was better at exploiting loopholes in the wording.
