Chapter 519: Chapter 177: "Miss Sazanoko, stand down—it’s all over now!
"Do you think we will spare you, a traitor who dares to do business with the barbarians?"
"..." Nakamura Chouhachirou was dumbfounded.
He opened his mouth forcefully, as if he wanted to say something loudly... but the extreme fear made him forget how to control his tongue and vocal cords for a moment.
The "Scarred Warrior" observed Nakamura Chouhachirou’s current expression with interest and gave a blatant sneer.
"Although you don’t need to think about staying alive, you can rest assured about your daughter. We will indeed let your daughter regain her freedom without harm. I can guarantee that."
"We are not indiscriminate Yakuza."
"We have always only killed barbarians, traitors, and those who, for the realization of the Anti-foreigner Cause, must be sacrificed."
"You are the one doing business with the barbarians, not your daughter. So we won’t treat your daughter as a traitor."
"Alright, I accidentally said too much... Prepare to die, traitor."
Clang!
The "Scarred Warrior" drew the tachi from his waist and rushed straight at Nakamura Chouhachirou!
The distance between Nakamura Chouhachirou and the "Scarred Warrior" was only six steps away.
Such a short distance... it would be reached in the blink of an eye!
In the blink of an eye, the "Scarred Warrior" was in front of Nakamura Chouhachirou, holding the tachi aloft in an upper rank position, with the sharp blade flashing with a chilling gleam.
Stirred by the gleam of the blade, Nakamura Chouhachirou finally regained control over his body.
But it was too late... the "Scarred Warrior’s" blade had already slashed down!
However, at that critical moment, like a piece of a black wall falling, a tall shadow silently leaped down from the alley wall between Nakamura Chouhachirou and the "Scarred Warrior," landing solidly between them.
This shadow was Aoto!
Clang!
The ringing of a blade unsheathing dominated the narrow alley.
Aoto quickly drew his blade, and the Ghost-Slaying, sprang from its sheath, precisely intercepted the descending blade of the "Scarred Warrior" in mid-air.
Everyone in the alley was caught off guard by Aoto’s sudden appearance.
The unprepared "Scarred Warrior" felt an overwhelming force pass through the blade into his body.
In the next moment, his sword was directly knocked away.
After disarming the "Scarred Warrior," Aoto swiftly changed his move.
He rotated the blade of the Ghost-Slaying, switched to using the back of the blade, and brought the blade horizontally to his right waist, then charged fiercely at the "Scarred Warrior’s" armpit!
As he passed under the "Scarred Warrior’s" armpit and was about to brush past him, Aoto slashed horizontally at the "Scarred Warrior’s" abdomen, pulling the blade all the way down from the Kamigen.
If Aoto had used the sharp edge, the "Scarred Warrior" would have been sliced in two, his guts spilling everywhere.
But since Aoto was using the back of the blade, the "Scarred Warrior" didn’t suffer any fatal wounds... just enough pain to almost lose consciousness.
"Ouch...! Ugh ugh ugh—!" Struck hard in the belly, the "Scarred Warrior" vomited his entire dinner onto the ground, clutching his stomach as he fell to the ground like a limp shrimp, trying to alleviate his pain.
Aoto dispatched the "Scarred Warrior" in a single move without a word... He silently planted his back foot and dashed toward the two other samurai blocking Nakamura Chouhachirou’s path!
His swift movement towards the enemies was like an arrow from a bow.
The two samurai saw Aoto charging, hastily reaching for their swords at their waists.
One successfully drew his sword. The other, due to his panicked limbs, couldn’t draw his sword before Aoto reached them.
The one who successfully drew his sword hurriedly raised it for a strike at Aoto.
Aoto sidestepped effortlessly, avoided the strike, flashed to the side of this enemy, and aimed at his side abdomen with a swift swing... This man followed in the "Scarred Warrior’s" footsteps, clutching his stomach and retching violently as he fell sideways.
The one who couldn’t draw his sword in time finally managed to draw it... but it was too late.
Aoto lowered his waist, lifted his left hand to grab the wrist holding the newly drawn weapon, and employed his grappling skill to slam the enemy hard onto the ground, disarming him.
The opponent slammed down by Aoto landed face-first... He watched helplessly as the dusty black ground rushed toward him, followed by a shattering pain spreading from his face, stars spinning before his eyes.
The three "Scarred Warrior" accomplices in front of Nakamura Chouhachirou were defeated by Aoto at lightning speed... The few enemies still standing were only the two samurai blocking Nakamura Chouhachirou’s escape route.
These two hurriedly drew their swords and strode forward to assist their comrades after seeing Aoto take down the "Scarred Warrior."
However... by the time Aoto had dealt with the three of them, even before they reached Aoto...
In just a flash, their allies were nearly wiped out, and the only ones still standing were the two of them... They hurriedly stopped in their tracks, exchanged a glance.
