My father sold me to the Mafia King
Chapter 433/I was never selling you!
Chapter 433
Julie’s POV
I pressed my lips tightly together, struggling to catch my ragged breath beneath his crushing weight. He lowered his face even further, his dark eyes burning like vicious embers, hissing out in a sharp, lethal tone:
"You’re not leaving until you tell me who the fuck Ethan is!"
I raised my trembling hands, feebly trying to push his chest away, shouting in a voice unsteady with fear and utter panic:
"It’s not what you think!... It’s not whatever fucked-up idea is running through your head!"
His left jaw clenched with terrifying rigidity, his fist tightening over the sheet beside my head until the silk threads snapped under the force. He declared in a dry, threatening rasp:
"You better start talking right now, because what I’m thinking right now will burn this entire club down over everyone’s fucking heads!"
I couldn’t take this suffocating pressure for another second. A deafening scream tore from my throat, shaking the four corners of the room as burning tears spilled relentlessly down my cheeks:
"Enough!... Enough, for God’s sake! You have no fucking right to ask me about anything!"
I dragged in a ragged breath with immense effort, shoving his solid chest with every bit of my strength, completing with a throat-slitting bitterness:
"You especially have no right... because you were going to sell me!"
His icy pupils widened in absolute shock. Time froze across his features for a fraction of a second before he barked out, dripping with outrage and pure indignation:
"You crazy fool!... I never once thought about selling you!"
I stared up at him with hollow, bleary eyes, a single word escaping my numb lips:
"What?!"
He exhaled his scorching breath right over my face, shaking his head sharply as he took in my sheer panic:
"I don’t know what the hell you heard with that twisted mind of yours that day, but I never intended to sell you!... Am I fucking insane to do that to a woman who belongs to me?!"
I shook my head in violent denial, tears washing over my face:
"I heard you with my own ears talking to him and..."
He cut me off with a voice as sharp as a blade, heavy with raw frustration and bitterness:
"Whatever you heard was something entirely fucking different!... I was never negotiating over you, and I was never selling you!"
I tried to thrash wildly beneath him, shouting in wretched defiance:
"Get off me, you liar!"
His dark eyes narrowed, his sharp hiss brushing my trembling lips:
"You think I’m lying to you, Julie?!"
I squeezed my eyes shut, choking back a sob as I answered:
"Yes!... You’re lying!"
His movements instantly froze. A harsh, impenetrable coldness washed over his face, before he spoke in a unnervingly calm, terrifying tone:
"Fine... I’ll show you myself that I’m telling the truth."
In a flash, his steel body rose off me. The moment the weight lifted, I scrambled up into a sitting position to bolt, but his massive palm clamped around my shoulder, pinning me firmly back to the mattress. He barked with absolute authority:
"Don’t you fucking move a single muscle!"
I contorted my face in pure frustration... Damn it! What kind of hell had I dragged myself into?! And was it even remotely possible, for God’s sake, that he never planned to sell me at all?!
Robert strode with firm, heavy steps toward his wide wooden wardrobe, pulling out his tailored black suit. Stripping the towel from his waist without hesitation, he pulled on his trousers and shirt with swift efficiency.
He turned toward me, fastening his cuffs with cold detachment, his voice smooth and commanding:
"Get up. Let’s go."
I clutched the blanket around my swaying body, asking in utter bewilderment:
"Where?!"
He answered without blinking:
"You’ll find out right now."
He crossed the space between us in a single stride. His hard fingers clamped around my wrist, hoisting me off the bed with unyielding finality.
We exited his dark suite, sweeping down the stairs at a reckless pace. As we passed the door to my room in the lower hallway, my eyes caught my bare feet and simple cotton pajama robe. I dragged my feet to a helpless halt, protesting:
"I’m barefoot!... And I’m only wearing my pajamas!"
Robert stopped dead in his tracks and turned his full body toward me. He shot a brief glance down at my pale, bare feet resting on the freezing floor. In the very next second, he leaned down, wrapping his massive arm around my waist, scooping me up against his chest as if I weighed nothing at all!
I shrieked in panic, slapping his broad shoulder with my trembling palm:
"Put me down!... Put me down right now!"
He kept walking forward, holding me in a iron grip, mocking sharply:
"You’re the one who complained!"
I thrashed in his arms, pleading desperately:
"Just let me go into my room to change my clothes at least!"
He replied in a dry, non-negotiable rasp:
"I don’t have any more time to waste with you... I’ve already lost four whole years, and that’s more than enough!"
We reached the heavy door that unlocked with his master code. He bypassed it with a sharp motion, carrying me straight upstairs.
The moment he carried me through the main dining hall of the lavish restaurant in my completely disheveled state, the blood froze in my veins from absolute shock. I couldn’t believe this was actually happening!... Every single employee and guest in the room turned to stare at us in dead, stunned silence!
He shoved the glass outer door open with his shoulder, stepping out into the crisp morning air. A sharp nod to the waiting guard at the entrance had the man rushing to pull open the door of his sleek black Rolls-Royce.
Robert set me down on the passenger seat with firm care, slamming the door shut with a sharp click that vibrated through the frame.
Within seconds, he rounded the front of the car and slid behind the steering wheel. The engine roared to life, and the car shot forward, tearing through the asphalt at a breakneck speed!
I gripped the seatbelt with both hands, turning to him in sheer terror:
"What are you doing, you maniac?!"
