Donggong Ruoshu let out an "Ah!" in fright, and Chen Yi was startled to see this fearless, stupid girl looking pale.

Meanwhile, Consort Dong's face changed as she suddenly turned her head to the direction where the sound came from, deep within Zhongnan Mountain where the Golden Immortal Temple was located.

The roar was so familiar, Chen Yi instantly recalled the dragon's shadow pinned by a peach branch, silently struggling in the Dream Sea.

Is that the Dragon Roar?

What on earth happened at the Golden Immortal Temple?

The echo of the roar lingered in the valley, refusing to dissipate, as if some terrifying creature had finally been completely enraged, struggling free and roaring at the sky.

Inside the room, there was dead silence, only the slightly hurried breathing of the three and the gradually stirring noise from the distant town.

The allure and ease on Consort Dong's face had utterly vanished, replaced by a fearful shock. She murmured, "What... what is this?"

Chen Yi did not answer. He strode quickly to the window, pushed it open, letting the cold night breeze in, carrying the lingering pressure that hadn't completely dissipated.

"Chen Yi! Chen Yi! Where have you gone?!"

A woman's voice, normally cold now obviously panicked, came from the direction of the neighboring room, moving swiftly closer and tense.

It was Yin Weiyin, awakened by the Dragon Roar.

Chen Yi's heart tightened. He immediately turned to leave, but before he could reach the door, a series of hurried yet light footsteps were already quickly approaching.

An unkempt Yin Weiyin burst into the courtyard, appearing outside the window. She clearly had been startled from sleep, and in a rush, only threw on an outer robe, without the collar fastened, revealing a section of snow-white undergarment neckline.

Her long hair, unbraided before sleep and hanging loose like ink, had yet to be combed, some locks falling beside her cheeks, highlighting her usual indifferent face, now showing a rare vulnerability, appearing fragile.

Her eyes swept across the room hastily, first seeing Chen Yi standing by the window, her tense expression visibly easing, as if a stone had dropped, she blurted, "Thank goodness, you're unharmed..."

Relieved slightly, it's good that he's alright…

But before the word "alright" was out, her gaze fell upon the other two in the room.

Consort Dong, held snugly in his arms, looking surprised and alluring.

And Donggong Ruoshu, sitting on the bed with the covers around her, eyes wide open.

Yin Weiyin's voice abruptly stopped, paused for a long while.

"You..."

Her lips moved slightly, her voice lower than before,

"Why are you in Miss Donggong's chamber?

And why is she... also here?"

Chen Yi stood dazed for a moment, suddenly feeling that the ear-splitting Dragon Roar seemed less sweat-inducing than this moment.

Even though his own Great Yin… actually is one of the easiest to bully among the ladies...

Inside the Golden Immortal Temple.

The temple, originally cleared and still looking quite battered, now seemed as if it had suffered a natural disaster or earthly calamity.

The roof of the Three Pure Ones Hall, already teetering on the edge, had half of it directly blown away, with broken tiles and wood raining down, the courtyard walls collapsing in sections, raising swirling clouds of dust.

As the dust slightly dispersed, the revealed scene on the ground was even more shocking.

The brocade-robed eunuchs and palace maids who had been bustling back and forth earlier were now scattered and fallen among the ruins and rubble, bloodstained. Those closest to the Three Pure Ones Hall were barely recognizable, as if they had been fiercely struck then crushed by an invisible force, their brocade robes torn, bones broken, some with collapsed chests, others with heads twisted at an eerie angle, eyes wide with unprepared terror.

Dark red blood oozed from beneath them, flowing on the muddy ground, pooling into small puddles reflecting the dim moonlight filtering through the ruined roof. Further away, limbs were slightly twitching, emitting dying groans that quickly fell silent.

In the midst of the chaotic ruins, a pile of collapsed beams and debris slightly arched, then was pushed open by a hand from within.

Emperor Jianji, somewhat disheveled, managed to push away the broken beams and shattered tiles pressing on him, coughed several times, and spat out a breath of dust-laden air. The square scarf on his head was long gone, his hair disarrayed, his face dirty with dust, and his brocade clothes torn in several places, looking quite forlorn.

He swept his gaze over the scene before him, his eyes recovering composure swiftly after the initial shock.

Raising his head, he looked through the broken hall roof and the lingering dust towards the night sky.

He saw an enormous, brilliantly golden dragon shadow wildly darting and rolling among the ridges of Zhongnan Mountain! The dragon shadow wasn't fully solidified, showing a jade-like texture, yet every majestic dragon scale and powerful dragon body could be seen clearly.

At this moment, the True Dragon was in a frenzy, its tail swept through, shattering rocks and felling ancient trees, its claws tearing through the void, boundless ferocity sweeping over the world.

The entire Zhongnan Mountain was trembling along with it, shaking violently, as if it might collapse at any moment.

Emperor Jianji's pupils slightly contracted while watching the furious dragon shadow venting its rage among the mountains, he murmured softly:

"Earth Killing Intent, Dragon and Snake Rise on Land… It turns out when the True Dragon emerges, breaking free from its binds, such havoc is wreaked upon the world." He paused, laughed self-deprecatingly, "Even with an army of a hundred thousand, iron armor like a forest, how can we compete with such heaven-defying power?"

"Your Majesty, you overestimate the situation." A calm voice suddenly sounded beside Emperor Jianji.

Before he knew it, a slender figure dressed in an old grey cloth Daoist robe had silently appeared there, as if he had always been among the ruins. The robe's largeness made the person appear even more frail and skeletal, his face hidden in the hood's shadow, indistinct, with only a tuft of grey-white beard beneath his chin moving slightly in the wind.

His attire seemed ghostly as if avoiding the light.

The Daoist was also looking at the mountains where the dragon shadow raged, speaking in a flat tone, "The blood curse and resentment of a hundred thousand soldiers dead would be enough to curse this not yet fully formed True Dragon to death; it cannot bear such a heavy burden."

Emperor Jianji nodded slightly upon hearing, with no surprise on his face.

The closer he approached this seemingly chaotic era, where legends of Immortals and Buddhas appeared and earthly forces were disturbed, the more he understood that mortal blade force seemed paltry against the true might of the supernatural.

The flesh cannot compete with Divine Skills, iron armor does not prevent spells, mortal men have only beyond their reach to grasp fate, cause, and karmic power, using the collective will of the empire's populace as a blade, with the grievances of warfare as poison, to restrain these abnormal beings.

"Nonetheless," Emperor Jianji continued watching the wild destruction caused by the True Dragon, "such a mighty True Dragon, among the top martial artists below the top ten in the world, few would be able to subdue it, and beneath Zhongnan Mountain, in Zi Wu Town, are thousands upon thousands of my people."

The shadow under the gray-robed Daoist's hood seemed to shift slightly, as if he smiled, still calmly saying, "Your Majesty is kind-hearted, concerned for the populace, but there's no need to worry about this matter… Coincidentally, my master's teacher once ranked tenth in the world."

Emperor Jianji slightly nodded, already familiar with the Daoist's master's origins.

Just then, among the mountains, the crazy darting golden dragon shadow, after mindlessly venting its rage, sensed something instinctively. The huge dragon head, as large as a mountain, abruptly ceased its movements, slowly turning around.

The dragon's eyes, burning with golden flames of fury, pierced the rolling night, firmly locking onto the Human Emperor standing amid the Golden Immortal Temple ruins.

The boundless pressure surged forth like a tsunami.

Emperor Jianji's robe billowed fiercely, yet his expression remained calm.

"Your Majesty, wait for my master's arrival while I hold it off." The gray-robed Daoist stepped half a step forward, moving slightly between Emperor Jianji and the dragon's gaze, his spacious old robe fluttering with no wind, a completely different majestic aura arose.
