My Disciples Grind, I Get 100x Their Progress
Chapter 125: Felicya Luphas 2
"Will you keep sleeping?"
"Yeah."
Felicya curled up, even purring like a little cat on Julian’s shoulder. The sound of her soft and warm breathing felt so clear, tickling Julian, who was starting to get used to all of it.
How could he not?
These two days had passed and that small creature kept clinging to him for twenty-four hours. Julian was lucky because he’d already prepared himself for the possibility that he’d have to use Fearless for twenty-four hours by preparing quite a lot of serums that supported recovery and instant Mana replenishment.
All of that was currently stored in his ring.
But, Julian clearly had a limit, he could still hold on for about one week. So, during that time, if Julian still couldn’t find a way to escape, he might die of fear, right when his Fearless deactivated on its own.
Julian let out a small sigh.
’What should I do?’
Julian fell asleep with the girl in his embrace, he woke up with the girl in his embrace, he took morning walks at the girl’s request with her in his embrace, the same applied in the afternoon and night.
Food?
Uniquely, thanks to this girl, Julian didn’t need to worry about his food. This girl seemed to understand that Julian was still human and needed food, so this little girl helped him by ordering those cult people around.
’Ah, right, there was also a small progress.’
Julian had already tried his best to communicate. Like asking a few things, and the girl would occasionally give answers in her lazy tone.
When Felicya would answer seemed to depend on whether she wanted to or not. If she was too lazy, she’d just stay silent and move her body slightly as a form of protest, otherwise, the girl would open her eyes if she wanted to answer Julian’s question.
"...Felicya, may I ask something?"
Her closed eyes slowly opened, revealing a pair of mismatched eyes. One colored pale white while the other was gold in a way strangely so captivating.
Julian smiled a little, feeling somewhat awkward seeing that unique gaze, which looked similar to a reptile’s.
"May I know why you’re here?"
That was a ridiculous question. Julian had gotten some information from those cult people, that this girl apparently was something that came from inside that egg.
The egg discussed by Killac, which apparently brought so many other Aliens and chased those cultists.
And, considering this girl had been sealed, it was easy to say there was a special situation happening, and that confirmed that Felicya wasn’t just a little girl, maybe she was a type of Alien that could be reborn or something, right?
Those gold and white eyes blinked a few times, then listlessly lifted slightly as she looked at Julian.
"Someone."
"Someone?"
Felicya nodded her head, then said nothing more, leaving Julian with a bit of strange irritation and regret.
’What does she mean by someone? You’re looking for someone? Someone’s looking for you? You’re being chased by someone?’
There were many things that could be interpreted in her words, but how could Julian possibly guess that?
He didn’t have the basic and necessary information for that.
’Haa...’
Julian let out a long sigh in his mind, calmed his irritated feeling, then smiled slightly.
"Then, may I ask why you’re clinging to me?"
This question somehow was enough to make Julian feel a bit nervous for no clear reason.
That shouldn’t be a heavy or wrong question, but waiting for the little girl’s answer to this oddly felt a bit awkward.
"Warm," Felicya answered, still in her listless and short tone. "I like it."
"Feels like....."
Then, right as she was about to say more words, something rare enough to make Julian feel enthusiastic, the girl suddenly wilted as though she were a dying plant.
The girl wilted so listlessly, her eyes closed, then she fell back asleep with a small, light purr, her regular breathing returning as her head rested on Julian’s shoulder.
’...Seriously?’
Julian felt like messing up his own hair out of irritation. But somehow he didn’t do it, ah right, that was because his hands were busy carrying Felicya, who was sleeping in his embrace, of course.
Julian had just thought that he might soon find some kind of clue about how he should escape, but there was nothing like that.
’Besides, what did she mean by that statement?’
Julian questioned Felicya’s last sentence about the warm feeling the girl liked, and maybe the girl felt a certain familiarity that felt like someone she knew.
’Wait, someone she knew?’
Could this be connected?
Maybe Felicya came here to look for someone she knew, someone she liked very much, someone who gave the girl a warm feeling, something similar to what the girl felt toward Julian.
After thinking about that for a moment...
’How exactly could this become a clue for my safety? Should I help Felicya find that person?’
That might be the only most possible way for now. The girl had no intention of letting go of Julian at all, and Julian wasn’t stupid enough to try escaping from that terrifying creature.
So Julian now found what he had to do. It was to find more clues about the person Felicya meant, then find that person, hand Felicya over to that person, and finally leave safely.
’Hmm... but, could I leave safely?’
Julian remembered his position again.
He was in the middle of abandoned territory, his position unclear, and it was said there were various terrifying Invaders living around this territory.
It would be a miracle if Julian could meet one of the Rank-A legends. As for reinforcements or a rescue team...
It seemed impossible.
’Those people would misunderstand, surely thinking that I haven’t returned because I’m planning something.’
When in reality, it was far from that. Julian genuinely felt a crisis here, right now!
With that irritated feeling returning, Julian looked up at the sky, his face slightly furrowed.
"...Huh? What’s that?"
Was he seeing things wrong?
But it seemed, there was a small object floating toward him, very small, right at the height of the sky.
And slowly, that object got closer, even got bigger.
’Oh damn it.’
Julian immediately felt that danger approaching quickly.
