Entering the hotel’s office area, Li Xiao followed her all the way to Gao Yue’s office.

She said to the assistant, "A guest for President Gao!"

The assistant immediately stood up and said, "Hello, President Gao is expecting you. Please go in."

She got up and swiped the key card for the door. Gao Yue had made arrangements in advance to have her brought straight in.

Li Xiao glanced at the "General Manager’s Office" sign on the door. ’I wonder who this GM is. Gao Yue must be using Xu Wu’s name to get something done here.’

’She might even be trying to host the Jindi Group’s annual meeting here and came to negotiate a discount. Yes, that’s got to be pretty much on the mark!’

Her thoughts flashed by in the blink of an eye. As the office door opened, she saw Gao Yue sitting on the guest sofa, discussing something with another person.

Just then, Gao Yue looked up. "Xiao Xiao!"

She stood up and told her assistant to make some tea, instructing her to use her own private stash of leaves.

Li Xiao was a little stunned. ’Her own tea leaves? She even has her own tea here?’

She had assumed the person talking with Gao Yue was the hotel’s general manager, but to her surprise, when the other woman stood up, she was also a familiar face.

"Well, well, President Xiao Xiao! You’re looking more beautiful every day!"

Li Man? ’Gao Yue’s little hanger-on,’ Li Xiao thought. Of course she knew her.

"A swimming pool? Where are you installing a swimming pool?"

"In the office!"

Li Xiao froze. "You’ve got to be kidding me!"

"Why would I kid you? We’ve got the whole floor. What’s so strange about putting in a swimming pool?"

The Junxiao Lakefront CBD Center was a super Grade-A office building. While a typical office building might have a single-floor area of around 1,000 square meters, a single floor in the Junxiao Lakefront CBD Center was nearly 2,000 square meters.

On a 2,000-square-meter floor, if you only have the Chairman’s and General Manager’s offices, with the rest dedicated to entertainment and recreation, isn’t that more than enough space?

HAH! "Whose office is this? So extravagant!"

The General Manager’s office was no less impressive, at 180 square meters. Since this one was for Xu Wu, they had put a great deal of thought into it.

Compared to the Chairman’s office, the entertainment and recreation aspects were toned down. For one, Xu Wu wasn’t fond of such things, and for another, the entire floor outside her office was already a recreation area, so there was no need to add another one inside.

After discussing the 58th floor, they moved on to the floors below.

There was another office for Xu Wu on the 57th floor. Its design was similar to her office in the Yunfeng Building. Since the one upstairs was the height of luxury, this one just needed to meet her daily work requirements.

The three of them studied the plans all afternoon. They had to admit, the design firm Li Man found was incredible—reportedly top-tier domestically and internationally renowned.

Gao Yue had told her not to worry about the cost. When money was no object, the results naturally followed.

As a result, they could find almost no fault with the proposed designs, though of course, this wasn’t the final draft.

A decision this important would certainly have to be made by President Chen or Xu Wu. After all, they were their offices; Gao Yue was merely acting on their behalf.

Li Man gathered up the blueprints.

Li Xiao took a sip of tea. "Ah Yue, you’ve really handed Li Man a huge deal."

Li Man hurriedly said, "Where I am today is all thanks to the support from President Gao and President Xiao Xiao!"

’Baby powder again?’ Li Xiao thought with a grimace. ’What’s next, diaper cream?’ She quickly said, "If you want to thank Ah Yue, then thank Ah Yue. I haven’t done anything to help you."

"Besides, there’s no difference between asking her and asking me. We both end up going to President Xu anyway!"

This was true. Gao Yue had helped Li Man a great deal, whereas Li Xiao hadn’t really done much for her at all.
