Chapter 389.2: What Myriad Principle Gate? Isn't That Just My Underworld Palace's Front Door?

Back in his room, Qi Yuan took out the gaming jade and turned it over in his hands, studying it carefully. "Could you also be a supreme treasure?"

Then, he shook his head. "Nah, just a broken game console. How can it be a supreme treasure?"

If it counted as one, the bar for supreme treasures would be embarrassingly low. According to both the Strange Painter and Lord Great Wisdom, a single supreme treasure was worth no less than a Principle Yang Spirit. With one in hand, a Yang Spirit from the Lower Three Heavens could ascend to the Middle Three Heavens, even bringing their entire clan along.

In Qi Yuan's imagination, a supreme treasure had to have some aura around it. Just like the immortals of the heavens, they wouldn't even have to fart.

He stared at the gaming jade with complex emotion. The Flowing Wind World game icon had turned gray. It meant he had completed that game, and could no longer use the gaming jade to enter the Flowing Wind World.

"Looks like I'll be searching for a needle in the universe."

There was one other alternative to find the Flowing Wind World. He could use his Star Golden Core to illuminate the universe and observe every world bathed in its light. Right now, his core projections were confined to Canglan World alone. The other worlds didn't have ten suns blazing down on them all at once.

That said, his actions could be read as a provocation. The stars that reflected across all heavens had long since established their roles: the Great Sun, the Moon, and the Charm Star. By having ten stars reflect across all heavens as suns, wouldn’t he essentially be challenging the Great Sun?

Well, Qi Yuan didn't particularly care. By now, he clearly understood that the Great Sun was the Taihuang Palace Master, the one behind the Great Calamity. Since an altercation was inevitable, what was a little provocation in advance?

Of course, simply reflecting across all heavens wouldn't immediately yield the coordinates of every world. The prerequisite was that a Yang Spirit had previously visited that world.

The people of all heavens and ten thousand worlds are about to receive a blessing! Ten extra suns in the sky brings ten extra portions of good fortune! It might make things a bit hot, though. More people wearing revealing clothes, which is good for the population. Hmm... Isn't propagation exactly what the Heavenly Dao loves most? I refuse to stigmatize people who wear revealing clothes!

Qi Yuan's gaze drifted toward the stars spread across the heavens. When he noticed one particular star that shone a little dimmer than the rest, a tender look crossed his face. Back on Arch Star, Yu Menxian had once pointed out that the star belonged to the Moon Maiden.

Qi Yuan murmured to himself, "Just nice. While reflecting across all heavens, I can pay a visit to Jin Li's star at the same time. My only regret is that I don't have enough stars. Ten is nowhere near enough to form letters and patterns like a drone light show."

Canary appeared beside him, looking utterly adorable in a light yellow skirt. "Hehe. I finally get to go back and see Nine Plate Mountain. Oh, and Ning Tao is up on the Golden Core. She’s helping you look for the Flowing Wind World!"

By now, he could summon Canary and Ning Tao down at any time. Still, Qi Yuan shot her a puzzled look. "You're both the same person. Why are you referring to her by name?"

Past Self and Present Self were essentially one and the same. If the division weren't deliberately maintained, their sensations would merge entirely. After the split, the Past Self had kept the appearance from Canary's days.

Instead of answering, she asked, "So, who do you like more? Me or Ning Tao?"

Qi Yuan gave a helpless sigh. "Might as well ask who I'd save first if you and my mom both fell into a river."

Canary's expression grew earnest. "I won't interrupt anymore. Go on and reflect across all heavens. Ning Tao and I will help you."

He showed a rare solemnity. "Alright!"

Reflecting his light across all heavens and ten thousand worlds was not a small feat. It meant the birth of a Yang Spirit who was ready to raise his divine throne.

Upper World, the Sixth Heaven, in Taihuang Palace. Streams of flowing light swept past, falling into a mountain peak. Everywhere one looked, fire blanketed everything. Even the flora and fauna seemed to have been born from flames. Divine melodies drifted through the air like mist.

A golden-robed man gazed down below with a deep but distant look. As he looked upon the nearly one hundred Mythics gathered below, a hint of satisfaction flashed across his eyes.

Setting aside the Yang Spirits of Taihuang Palace, the man himself was still ranked among the top ten of the remaining Mythics. "Everyone, I have something rather interesting to share in this Taihuang Assembly."

Yang Spirits almost never showed themselves in the mortal world. Mythics like them were usually responsible for hosting such assemblies, attended by the elites of the other major clans. They naturally were no ordinary Mythics. Each had a star reflecting across the heavens, representing a major power in the world.

A hint of amusement flickered in the eyes of a Moluo Clan Mythic. "Oh? What good news? Could it be that the Yang Spirit of the Divine Moon Palace has been slain?"

Much like the Taihuang Palace, the Moluo Clan bore a deep grudge against the Divine Moon Palace. Rumor had it this grudge originated from a small lower world. They even openly declared war on the Divine Moon Palace.

On the other hand, Taihuang Palace and the Divine Moon Palace had long been in a state of war. Most of the Yang Spirit clans backing these Mythics had deep ties with Taihuang Palace. When the two major powers clashed, those clans did not participate in the fighting directly, instead providing logistical support.

"Not quite." The golden-robed man let satisfaction show in his eyes. "It's far greater than that."

A Mythic exclaimed with excitement, "Has thatone from the Divine Moon Palace fallen?!"

Every other Mythic looked at this person with a mix of bewilderment and exasperation. Well, as you can see, the moon's still hanging in the sky. Fallen? My foot!

Besides, at that level of cultivation, a Yang Spirit would not die so easily.

The golden-robed man shot a sideways glance at the excited Mythic, displeased and unamused. Though he was about to announce genuinely significant news, it couldn't compare to news of such magnitude. That Mythic had gotten everyone's hopes up for nothing! Whatever he was about to announce wouldn't land with the same impact.

Regardless, he still announced from the flaming chair in which he sat, "Ahem, that one has not fallen. However, the Heavenly Venerable has conveyed that that one has sustained significant injuries."

"What, she is injured?"

The assembled Mythics were shaken. An existence of her caliber almost never appeared in the mortal world and was all but untouchable. One could even say that the death of an ordinary Yang Spirit paled in comparison to news of her injury. The impact on the Divine Moon Palace would be far greater.

The golden-robed man said with evident delight, "I do not know how she was injured, but the information is guaranteed. The Taihuang Palace has been at war with the Divine Moon Palace for a million years. Now that she's injured, the Taihuang Palace holds the upper hand.

"The reason I gathered everyone here is to invite you all to join forces with the Taihuang Palace. We’ll launch an united offensive against the Divine Moon Palace. And of course, please convey this news to your respective Heavenly Venerables."

Above all, he wanted to draw the Yang Spirits behind these clans into the conflict and have them enter the battlefield. There couldn't be a better opportunity than now, with the Divine Moon Palace's strongest expert wounded.

A Mythic was stunned. "Wait, didn’t she have a Creation Treasure? How is she still injured?"

A Creation Treasure was what the Strange Painter had called a supreme treasure. In the eyes of these Mythics, the two major powers had been at war for so long that it had appeared like minor battles. Of course, both sides had a Creation Treasure. The two were fundamentally incapable of defeating each other. But now, the one who held the Creation Treasure had been injured. The implications behind this were severe.

The golden-robed man declared, "Hence, now is precisely the time for close coordination. The Heavenly Venerables behind each of you should enter the field. They need not venture into the Divine Moon Palace's core territory. After all, even the outer regions are worth taking."

The Mythics grew excited. The Divine Moon Palace's territory was vast. With such a perfect opportunity, the major powers backing them stood a great chance of claiming their share by entering the fray.

"I will report this matter faithfully to the Heavenly Venerable. Keke, if it is true, we should look after one another."

The golden-robed man said happily, "Don't concern yourselves with the core territory. The Taihuang Palace will hold the front. All you have to do is move against the outer regions!"

Once this news spread, the Taihuang Assembly would have a very good chance of succeeding, gaining considerable support. The Divine Moon Palace would come under siege, and the tide of the war would shift!

Just then, the Mythic from before asked, "Why does it feel like it's gotten warmer here?"

Another Mythic said, "This is Taihuang Palace. A little warmth is perfectly normal."

"It's just a bit too warm, and—" The old man looked up in sheer shock, his beard quivering. "What in the heavens is that?!"
