Chapter 1231 - 1231: Good Intentions Gone Awry

After Xiao Chen went back and washed his face with cold water, he continued to come over.

Soon they were divided into several small groups.

Then they made the first batch of elixir brought by Lin Feng into simple pills in good proportions, but they weren't yet fully formed and needed processing the next day.

After doing all this, it was already six in the morning.

"Everyone go home and get some sleep after work; those who rested in the lab before probably didn't get enough sleep, especially you, Xiao Chen, you're the most exhausted."

Xiao Chen gave a very shy smile, but there was still a lot of pressure in his heart and he felt guilty about all of this.

With no other choice, after leaving, he went to a courier station and found someone there.

"Hello, I need to send a delivery."

After giving him a glance, the person nodded: "What are you sending?"

He took out the USB drive, then saw the other person respond: "Send this to a company."

After speaking, he began filling out the form. After finishing everything, he realized ten minutes had passed. He sighed and walked home.

"I hope all this ends soon; I really don't want to do these stupid things anymore. If I had a chance to regret, I'd really want to seize it."

"I wonder if Lin Feng will be very disappointed after he finds out it was me who did all this."

...

Xiao Chen couldn't sleep the whole night, and by the next morning, he arrived at the research building.

He discovered that an important person had arrived, who was a very good friend of Lin Feng.

It was also one of the investors in this research project, Li Tian.

Once everyone had arrived, Li Tian came over, coughed, and said to everyone: "I know all of you are the best researchers in this entire research building."

"This time, our initial plan is to develop the first batch of drugs in six days, present them at the launch event, and then conduct the first sale."

"So I heard you started the final tests on the first batch last night. My visit this time shouldn't affect you, right?"

Truth be told, when Li Tian is serious, he looks very different from his usual playboy image.

If Lin Feng saw him here, he would surely be very surprised.

He had never seen Li Tian act so serious before.

Everyone shook their heads and replied loudly: "It won't affect us."

Li Tian nodded, feeling quite happy inside.

It's just a very simple task, after all.

Lin Feng even sent me to keep an eye on this group of researchers to see if they'd make any mistakes?

There's no such thing.

He had complete trust in himself and also in these researchers he was watching over.

He waved his hand and said very amicably to all the research experts, "Have a seat, seems there's still half an hour before you start work. I brought some goodies for you."

After saying this, he had someone bring up the things.

But one of the researchers couldn't help but stand up and say, "We have to eat in a designated dining area, as this is a place for experiments. If we want to eat, we have to go outside."

"If we go back and forth like this, we might miss the start of work. Thank you for your kindness, CEO Li, but we'd better get to work."

Li Tian originally wanted to give the experiment staff a good impression on his first day at the company, but he didn't expect his good intentions to backfire.

Not knowing the condition of their research building these past years, he just bought things.

He sighed and regretfully said,

"Had I known, I'd have given you each a red envelope instead."

Upon hearing this, everyone became even more anxious: "No need, CEO Li, you don't have to give us red envelopes. You're an investor in our company, and this project has your share, so it's only right for us to research it as quickly as possible."

Frankly speaking, calling on Li Tian to greet these researchers by Lin Feng wasn't a bad move, although not necessarily great.

But everyone quite liked Li Tian; he wasn't like some other second-generation rich people, flaunting an air of superiority in front of researchers.

Indeed, those who can be friends with their boss, Lin Feng, have a good character.

Everyone was very happy, except Xiao Chen, who couldn't feel joy amidst the crowd.

Because the better the treatment and the better Lin Feng and his friends were, the more guilty he felt about his own actions.

It seemed like it was becoming impossible for him to continue betraying Lin Feng.

But for his sister, he had no other choice.

He shook his head, walked up to the lab bench, and quietly began analyzing the data from last night's tests, since production of the first batch of pills was starting today.

Some passersby researchers started discussing Li Tian, who had appeared briefly just moments ago.

"I didn't expect our investor to have such a good temper."

"Think about it, he's friends with our boss, naturally he's a good person like our boss."

"We're really lucky to be doing research under such good bosses. Other places have really high demands and don't give enough funding, although this project is quite new and rushed."

"But both bosses are truly good people."

These folks were continuously discussing Lin Feng and his friends.

Xiao Chen simply pretended not to hear anything and continued to work diligently.

Yet before noon, Li Tian came again, and he even brought something for everyone.

This amused everyone even more. After putting down the things, he called them on...

"Lin Feng, rest assured. Nothing's wrong here; your researchers are all working diligently to produce the first batch of drugs."

"Don't worry, even if you can't come over, I'll keep watching. There's nothing wrong here."

Upon hearing Li Tian conversing with Lin Feng, everyone gave a silent thumbs-up.

If Lin Feng himself were here inspecting, he'd generally be more strict than this investor who understands nothing.

Definitely wouldn't be like Li Tian, who knows nothing, but even gives them so much food and hands out red envelopes.

So everyone felt that this Li Tian was genuinely a nice person.

Because of this, everyone worked even harder, continuing to produce the first batch of drugs in the lab, unaware.

This was actually Lin Feng and Li Tian's intention; they didn't mean to be strict with this batch of people. Lin Feng consulted with Li Tian on this plan for the first time, and it turned out very well.

Besides, Li Tian already had a playboy image, so he played his role excellently, and everyone willingly believed he wouldn't inspect this batch of drugs.

Yet actually, while Li Tian appeared back and forth in front of them, he secretly observed the drugs and even took some photos to send to Lin Feng.
