My Celestial Ascension

Chapter 910: Nothing Happen

Chapter 910: Nothing Happen

The room fell silent for a moment, and no one uttered a single word. The news of Princess Nerith losing the duel against Yuan shocked everyone present to their core.

“Despite his appearance, this young human is a terrifying monster,” Duke Corvin muttered, his expression serious as realization slowly dawned on him. “No wonder he was able to cross the mysterious storm barrier.”

“I couldn’t agree more. He is simply too mysterious, just like everyone else in his group,” Duke Alric added, nodding his head slightly in agreement.

“There is no mistake that each of them is extremely terrifying… it would be better for us to build a good relationship with them, perhaps even make an alliance if possible,” Duke Cedric suggested, a serious look on his face as he glanced at the other dukes, seeking their thoughts.

“I agree with Lord Cedric’s words. We should focus on building a good relationship with them. After all, they might be willing to offer their help with our current situation,” Duke Hexryn said with a firm expression before turning to look at Rhex, waiting for his response.

Emperor Rhex thought for a moment in silence before saying, “I also believe it is a very good idea to build a positive relationship with them. And it seems I did the right thing by inviting them to the palace, or else we wouldn’t even know how capable they truly were in the first place.”

Empress Varia listened to their conversation, smiled softly, and said, “Hmm… an alliance might indeed be possible with them.”

“Oh? Have they told you something that might bring good fortune to our empire?” Rhex asked, raising his brows slightly as he looked at her.

The four dukes looked at Empress Varia with surprised and curious expressions, wondering what exactly she was trying to imply.

“Not exactly,” Varia shook her head with a faint smile, and then continued, “It seems that your sister has taken a liking to Yuan. She even dragged him with her to the bathroom after returning from the training ground.”

As soon as Varia revealed this to everyone, they all stared at her with dumbfounded expressions, as if they had just heard something completely unbelievable.

“W-What did you just say?! That brainless idiot whose head is filled with nothing but training and fighting dragged a man with her to the bathroom?! Don’t make such a joke with me, Varia!” Emperor Rhex couldn’t believe his wife’s words, though he was undeniably shocked.

Varia rolled her eyes and snorted softly. “Do you think I would joke with you about such a serious matter? By now, they should already be out of the bathroom.”

“Are you serious?” Rhex asked, a look of disbelief still clearly written across his face.

’Did that rogue sister of mine really take the initiative to get close to a man? This is impossible!’ he thought inwardly, unable to imagine his sister willingly spending time with any man.

“I’m very serious about this matter,” Varia replied with a firm and unwavering expression.

The room fell silent once again, and no one spoke, as they couldn’t believe that Nerith had taken the initiative to get close to Yuan, someone whom she had just met today.

“If she really has gotten close to Yuan, then forming an alliance with them would be a piece of cake,” Duke Hexryn spoke, breaking the silence in the room.

“Indeed,” Emperor Rhex nodded with a smile. “This is the first time she has done something beneficial for us. After all, her actions would usually only bring trouble.”

“However, this time is different. With their aid, we might finally have a chance to eliminate those bony abominations once and for all.” He finished his sentence with a firm look on his face.

Some time later, the meeting concluded.

All the dukes returned to their respective territories to prepare their soldiers for war. The undead’s intentions did not appear good at all; war seemed unavoidable at this point.

Their frequent appearances near the border had increased. The intense heat and the biting cold of the desert did not affect them at all, and they did not feel tired like the living.

Their advantage was their inexhaustible stamina—no matter how far they traveled, they would not grow weary. And with time, they only became stronger and more powerful.

They needed to prepare their soldiers to be ready for a war that might break out at any moment. The tension at the border was rising; the undead could breach it at any time.

If they managed to cross the border, the Demon Empire would soon be engulfed in chaos, and with every casualty, the strength of the undead would grow alongside their increasing numbers.

Meanwhile, Nerith left Yuan with his wives and went to look for her brother and sister-in-law, as she had something important to discuss with her brother.

Anna Grace sat on Yuan’s lap, wrapped her arms around his neck, and looked at him with a mischievous smile on her face.

“Tell me, darling, what happened in the bathroom? Did you woo her already?” she asked, a sly smile forming on her lips.

“What are you talking about? Nothing like that happened between us. We just talked and bathed together. That’s all,” Yuan responded with an awkward smile, shaking his head slightly.

“We don’t believe it,” Lily said with a sharp look on her face, staring at him suspiciously. “Something definitely happened between you two. So don’t act innocent before us, dear brother.”

“Indeed. With that perverted mind of yours, how could you possibly control your nature?” Emma joined in, flashing a teasing smile.

“Exactly. With a beautiful and sexy woman like Princess Nerith in front of you, there’s no way you wouldn’t make a move on her. Tell us already what happened,” Julie said with a wide grin, staring directly into his eyes.

“I concur,” Mireya nodded with a smile. “You’re not the type to let such a good opportunity slip by. You can’t fool us with that innocent look on your face.”

“Absolutely. Mireya is right—you’d better spill the truth already. That’s for your own good,” Valeria added, nodding while looking at him with a devilish grin.

“…” Yuan stared at his wives with a dumbfounded expression, completely shocked.

’Am I really a pervert in their eyes…?’ Yuan thought, disbelief written across his face.

“I’m really telling the truth. Nothing happened between us in the bathroom. Please believe me,” Yuan said, shaking his head, feeling extremely awkward about the situation.

Anna Grace brought her face closer and stared at him for a couple of seconds before speaking. “Are you really telling the truth?”

“Of course I’m telling the truth. Why don’t you believe me, Mom?” He could only sigh at this point; no one was believing his words.

“This is very strange… this is the first time you have let such a good opportunity go. This is unbelievable…!” Anna Grace mumbled in disbelief.

’Is this really my perverted son? How did he change so much?’ Anna Grace looked at him with a dumbfounded expression.
