My Cat Turned Beastman Won't Stop Kissing My Neck

Chapter 104: Let’s Shave the Fox’s Fur

  • Next Chapter

The fluffy Little Fox was curled up on the soft, large bed, its four paws hugging its fluffy, orange-red tail tightly. Its jet-black nose twitched from time to time, as if it were dreaming of something dreadful.

Wen Qian settled him in, then got up and left the room.

By now, Chi Heng had already shifted into his human form. He was standing in the hallway wearing loose loungewear and was just about to enter his room when Wen Qian called out to him.

"Chi Heng, do you have the first-aid kit?" She really didn’t want to go find Shen Mqing.

Chi Heng nodded, then motioned for Wen Qian to come in.

"How is he?" The tall man stood quietly behind her, watching as she picked up one medical supply after another.

"He has a slight fever and a lot of wounds that need to be treated," Wen Qian answered truthfully, hugging the supplies tightly.

The man seemed to recall something, and his deep eyes flickered. After a long moment, he suddenly stepped forward, blocking her path. "I can apply the medicine for him."

"Huh?" Wen Qian blinked. ’But in the car just now,’ she thought, ’he seemed completely indifferent to the Little Fox.’

Chi Heng seemed to wrestle with himself for a moment before saying slowly, "It’s... not really appropriate for you. He’s a male."

His tone was awkward. It took Wen Qian a moment to realize he was most likely referring to when she had treated his wounds early yesterday morning.

"What are you thinking...?" Wen Qian’s face flushed red. She pushed him aside. "He’s not in his human form!"

Scurrying out of Chi Heng’s room, Wen Qian clutched her pounding heart. She was suddenly annoyed with herself. ’If only I had more experience with romance, this wouldn’t be so awkward.’

’The way I just fled in a panic... It must have looked so pathetic!’

’He didn’t even say anything... and I just ran away?’

’Sure enough, you should never overthink things. Otherwise, you’ll always find fault with how you acted.’

Fortunately, Chi Heng didn’t follow her out. Wen Qian took a moment to calm down before heading to her room.

Once inside, she pulled a chair to the bedside and unceremoniously dumped all the medical supplies onto it.

Wen Qian used her phone to look up the normal body temperature for a fox. After taking his temperature, she found that the Little Fox was a full two degrees above normal.

She found the fever-reducing medicine, pried open the Little Fox’s mouth... and stuffed the pill inside. The very next second, however, the Little Fox spat it out.

"Ptooey! Don’t even think of assassinating this emperor..."

Wen Qian’s temples throbbed. She resisted the urge to twist his ear and reached for his mouth again.

This time, however, the Little Fox clamped his jaw shut, and no matter how hard Wen Qian tried, she couldn’t pry it open.

’Great. So rebellious.’

Unable to get the medicine down him, Wen Qian decided to treat his wounds first.

The wounds were dense, and with his fur in the way, applying the medication was not easy.

Carefully parting his fur, Wen Qian dabbed at the wounds with a cotton swab soaked in iodine. He had so many injuries that by the end, her vision started to blur...

Giving one of the fox’s ears a light pinch, Wen Qian mused aloud, "If this is too difficult, maybe I should just shave his fur..."

’It’ll grow back anyway...’

’Besides, as long as I don’t shave his head, no one will be able to tell when he’s in his human form, right?’

Once an idea like that takes root, it’s hard to shake.

’Where should I start?’

Wen Qian picked up the scissors meant for cutting gauze, momentarily lost in thought.

The cool tip of the blades touched the fox’s neck and slid down its spine. Just as Wen Qian was hesitating, a hand suddenly shot out and grabbed her wrist in a death grip...

The young man stared at her, his voice hoarse. "Are you a monster?"

’Trying to shave my fur while I’m sick?’

"You’re awake!" Wen Qian’s heart leaped with joy, her almond-shaped eyes sparkling.

The Little Fox grew uneasy under her gaze. He awkwardly averted his eyes and, after a long moment, gave a sullen "Mm."

Fearing she might try to shave him again, his fingers twitched imperceptibly, slowly pulling the scissors from her hand before he nonchalantly tossed them aside.

Letting out a long sigh... the Little Fox closed his eyes in relief.

Wen Qian was still happy that the Little Fox had woken up. When her gaze fell upon his defined collarbones, her expression grew even more delighted.

’It’s good that he shifted forms. Now I won’t have to part his fur to find the wounds...’

The next second, however, Wen Qian’s smile froze. Her gaze drifted down uncontrollably, taking in his smooth pectoral muscles... and lower still, she saw the Little Fox’s flat, smooth abdomen, with the faint lines of his abs.

The bath towel that had been covering him was now draped limply across his lean waist.

’Is this... something I should be looking at?’

Wen Qian’s face instantly flushed crimson. She glanced at the young man’s peaceful face and subconsciously swallowed. "Are you still awake?"

No one answered.

So, Wen Qian snuck another two glances.

’As expected of a celebrity. He really keeps himself in good shape...’

Despite her thoughts, a moment later, Wen Qian pulled the nearby blanket over him.

Then, in silence, she used a cotton swab soaked in iodine to clean the wounds on his chest.

With no fur to obstruct her, treating his wounds went very smoothly. Before long, Wen Qian had taken care of most of the injuries on the Little Fox’s upper body.

After a moment, she pulled the blanket up a little higher. She applied medicine to a few noticeable wounds on the Little Fox’s legs, then finally let out a long breath and turned to gulp down a large glass of cold water...

As the cool liquid went down, the flustered heat in her heart finally began to subside.

’What a seductive fox demon,’ Wen Qian thought, pressing a hand to her forehead.

However, before she could dwell on it, a soft, fluffy tail suddenly emerged from under the blanket and patted her arm gently twice.

It startled Wen Qian. She waited a few seconds before asking, "Awake?"

No one answered.

Thinking the Little Fox must be dreaming, Wen Qian said no more. As she bent down to move the supplies off the chair, the fluffy tail reached out for her again.

This time, his low, raspy voice came with it. "Don’t you want to pet my tail?"

Wen Qian turned around, her gaze once again falling on the young man’s face.

He had opened his eyes. A faint pink blush dusted his pale cheeks, and under Wen Qian’s gaze, it quickly spread to the tips of his ears.

Wen Qian assumed he was talking about an injury on his tail. She quickly threw back the blanket and began to gently part the fur at the base of his tail with her fingers.

The young man, not knowing what she was doing, blushed and pulled the blanket tighter. Soon, his breathing grew ragged.

He tried to say her name, but she didn’t seem to hear.

"Qianqian..."

He called out to her again. The next second, the cold touch on his tail sent a shiver through him.

"Hold on, I’m almost done," Wen Qian said softly, dabbing the medicine onto the broken skin. She then blew on it gently and said in a soothing tone, as if coaxing a child, "It’ll be all better soon. You’re still the most beautiful fox."

Qi Ke said nothing, merely biting his lower lip and twitching his tail.
