My Arts Evolve When Perfected

Chapter 524 - 441: The First Avatar, the Youthful Nine-tailed, 1-Tail!

With a single flap of his wings, he could summon storms. A single glance could bring down torrential rain and thunder. He was a Demon Race member of a completely different echelon of power—incredibly formidable.

One could say he was the true Dominator. In this region on the outskirts of the Primitive Ancient Forest, he possessed absolute power, enough to suppress all members of the Flying Demon Clan.

In other words, the Golden Eagle could command a vast number of the Flying Demon Clan, making them obey his orders. This was not difficult to understand. When a Demon Race member’s bloodline was sufficiently powerful and their Realm sufficiently high, they could naturally control other, weaker Demon Race members with whom they shared some degree of bloodline connection.

Back then, the Nine-tailed Fox and the other seven of the Eight Great Dominators hadn’t dared to defy him in the slightest. At one point, a Great Dominator had actually tried to secretly pocket a Spirit Fruit and was slapped to death for it.

Although he was powerful, the Nine-tailed Fox had said that, from what she recalled, he should still be in the Transformation Realm. He had just achieved Transformation very early on and was now exploring a Cultivation Technique for the next level.

He likely possessed a Cultivation Technique for the next level already, but he hadn’t broken through yet. For now, he could only remain holed up on the outskirts, awaiting the day he would undergo his metamorphosis.

After hearing all this, Jiang Qiu knew the Golden Eagle was not someone he could take on lightly for the time being. The creature’s bloodline was connected to the depths of the Primitive Ancient Forest, and he himself was suspected to be at the Peak of the Transformation Realm. ’How terrifying!’

He had only just started Opening Spirit Veins. At his sluggish pace, it would take at least a year or two. Catching up to the Golden Eagle, who had incomparably abundant resources, would be nigh impossible without some sort of fortuitous encounter.

Therefore, the most urgent task was to cultivate the Nine-tailed Fox. As long as she could improve quickly, Jiang Qiu would have someone to rely on. He was still happy to learn that she had mastered the first layer.

"Mhm, I feel like I can condense another version of myself," the Nine-tailed Fox said, running up to him. As her slender hands weaved through the air, faint streamers of Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm streaked across the sky. "But I’m not very familiar with it yet. With the first layer of the [Nine-tailed Form], I can only change myself..."

WHOOSH. In the blink of an eye, Jiang Qiu’s upward gaze lowered. A fox-eared girl, now the same height as him, was clapping her small hands. His eyes widened. "You’ve gotten smaller?"

"Yes, Master," the child-sized Nine-tailed Fox nodded. A pair of fangs gave off a cute, fluorescent glow. The crucial part was that the dress woven from vines slid right off and pooled on the ground, revealing skin as delicate as a baby’s. She looked so young it was endearing. "I feel like my control over the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm has increased by a huge margin."

She truly felt she had reached an epiphany. Yes, she had compressed all the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm, compressing her body along with it, and contained it all within a much smaller form.

Moreover, while this body looked young, it was actually incredibly strong—at least twice as powerful as her previous, more voluptuous form.

In her current state, she felt she could tear the other seven former Dominators apart with her bare hands. She could also utilize the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm with far more flexibility. She was terrifyingly strong.

Upon making this discovery, she couldn’t wait to run out and tell her Master. Of course, if she could have used Refinement to create a clone from this body, it would have been even more powerful. But she couldn’t; she hadn’t reached that stage of Cultivation yet. As a compromise, she had to settle for transforming herself into this state first.

She told Jiang Qiu everything she had discovered, leaving him stunned. With a flick of his finger, the dress on the ground floated up and draped itself over her shoulders again. "Looks like I’ll have to make you a smaller set of clothes."

The moment the Nine-tailed Fox transformed into a child, Jiang Qiu had noticed the change in the state of the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm within her body. It was as if the gaseous Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm had condensed into liquid droplets, making it naturally denser and more powerful.

But the crucial point was that the Nine-tailed Fox now looked so tiny—she was about the same size as him?!

In the Primitive Ancient Forest, which was filled with behemoths, Jiang Qiu’s size was already comparable to that of a small insect. Now, the Nine-tailed Fox, who was already in the Transformation Realm, had also become this small. Other Great Demons passing by might not even notice the two of them at their feet.

It wasn’t a huge problem. After all, her original form wasn’t enormous, just more buxom in certain areas—at least, from the perspective of Jiang Qiu’s Human Race aesthetic standards.

’Well, she’s smaller now, and that’s that,’ he thought. ’In any case, progress is a good thing...’

After offering a few words of praise, Jiang Qiu prepared to resume his Cultivation, while the Nine-tailed Fox went back to studying the next stage of the [Nine-tailed Form].

Cultivation was a long process. Especially in the Primitive Ancient Forest, in a relatively safe environment, decades or even centuries could pass without one even noticing.

The Demon Race had no forms of entertainment, nor did they dare to seek any. They spent their entire lives striving to cultivate. They desperately wanted to survive, and they toiled their whole lives for that purpose.

Jiang Qiu, however, didn’t really have such worries. He lived in the Nine-tailed Fox’s territory, where no other members of the Demon Race dared to set foot. There was no danger, and the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm was exceptionally dense.

When he cultivated, his rate of progress was also very fast.

In fact, it was absurdly fast...

At first, he had been counting on the Nine-tailed Fox to get stronger quickly. But after some thought, he realized he couldn’t waste time either. He began absorbing and using Refinement on the Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm at his maximum rate. In the blink of an eye, a month passed, and the wisp of Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm in his body had expanded into a cluster.

He sat cross-legged by the lake, quietly absorbing the glowing essence. A rare golden radiance from above trickled down, landing on his fledgling Dragon Form.

It resembled a younger version of his previous Dragon Form—part human, part dragon. A dragon-man. The sight was still quite harmonious. And higher up in the cave...

The Nine-tailed Fox sat on a cliff ledge, her long, fair legs dangling in the air as if on a swing. Each of her toes was as full and round as a Pearl, and her naturally red nails seemed to shimmer with a faint light.

Even though she walked on the dirt every day, the soles of her feet were snow-white and clean, as if she were a Fairy unstained by the dust of the mortal world. From time to time, flowing vines swayed along with her legs.

Her delicate, pale hands rested on the stone slab on either side of her hips. She leaned forward slightly, which gently pressed her breasts together. Though her face had a cold and proud look, her eyes held the pure gaze of a child.

Her ruby-like eyes stared quietly at Jiang Qiu, full of delight. Beside her, a small, fox-eared girl sat in the same way, swinging even smaller feet. Her hands couldn’t reach the stone slab, so she hugged one of the Nine-tailed Fox’s large, white, downy tails instead, a pair of fox ears on her head twitching slightly.

The little girl also had a fox tail, but compared to the Nine-tailed Fox’s nine tails, it was so small and delicate that it was completely hidden from view.

She had a similarly cold and aloof temperament, but her eyes were even more pure and innocent.

That’s right. She was the first clone the Nine-tailed Fox had created through Refinement. One-tailed. She was a younger version of herself, but she could condense a purer form of Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm and her attack power was very strong.

In just one month, she had successfully used Refinement to create her first clone—a complete one, with flesh and blood. One had to admit, her Talent was extraordinary.

Moreover, during this month of Cultivation, she felt as if she had opened her Ren and Du Meridians. She absorbed Heaven and Earth Spirit Charm relentlessly, her speed constantly increasing. She was no longer like a Demon Race member who had just recently achieved Transformation.

Yes, from the moment she began cultivating and perfecting the [Nine-tailed Form], her Cultivation speed should have far surpassed that of other native Demon Race members at the same Realm. Furthermore, after One-tailed appeared, this rate doubled.

It was like having the Cultivation efficiency of two people at once. And they were using a Cultivation Technique that was eons beyond the current era, one that was perfectly suited to her bloodline!

At this speed, the Nine-tailed Fox gradually felt her Cultivation hit a bottleneck. Recently, she could only watch Jiang Qiu cultivate. But even just watching was very interesting.

’Master, where in the world did you come from,’ she wondered, ’to know so many things?’
