"This medication is different from regular painkillers. It won’t harm the nerves, but its effect isn’t as remarkable as painkillers. It can only reduce part of a person’s pain, not completely eliminate it." At this moment, the doctor continued to speak to him.

Listening to the other person’s words, Noah Drexler didn’t say anything else; he merely quietly felt the changes in his palm and body.

So far, he hadn’t noticed any discomfort!

The brown-haired man handed over a gauze, and Noah Drexler took it, casually wiping the blood on his palm before turning around to look at Summer Shawcross, still tied to a chair.

She was looking at him with red eyes, her pale face now filled with anger.

He took long strides and walked briskly to her side, then bent down, raised his hand, and helped her untie the ropes on her body.

As soon as the ropes were untied, Summer Shawcross hurried to stand up, reaching out to grasp his injured hand. The wound continued to bleed, making her already pale face even paler.

Seeing this, Noah Drexler furrowed his brow and pressed his thin lips, speaking to her, trying to comfort her.

"The wound is shallow."

Because it was just testing the drug, he had been gentle, and such shallow wounds heal quickly.

Upon hearing his words, Summer Shawcross lifted her head in discontent and looked at him, uttering angrily.

"Does the hand have to be broken for it to count as a serious injury?"

In her view, the cut he made on his hand was not shallow at all.

Moreover, he didn’t have to do this at all!

"..." Noah Drexler’s brows furrowed deeply. Looking at her current expression, he was somewhat speechless.

The intention behind his earlier words was to comfort her, to assure her that his injury wasn’t serious.

Yet unexpectedly, she became even angrier after hearing him.

The handsome man’s face showed a hint of confusion.

"Mrs. Drexler, let me help Mr. Drexler with the bandaging." The brown-haired foreign man had already approached Summer Shawcross and Noah Drexler with a medicine box.

Summer Shawcross glanced at him, then let go of her grip. Her face still showed clear signs of anger.

Seeing this, to prevent her from getting angrier, Noah Drexler proactively extended his hand to the brown-haired man, cooperating rarely in letting him bandage it.

Summer Shawcross stood there, watching as the brown-haired man helped bandage Noah Drexler’s palm without saying anything. Compared to her earlier excited demeanor when tied to the chair, she was now much calmer.

However, her face clearly displayed an unhappy expression.

The atmosphere between the two became somewhat gloomy.

The blond-haired doctor took a look at the angry Summer Shawcross, and then continued speaking to Noah Drexler.

"Mr. Drexler, please return home with Mrs. Drexler for now. If you experience any issues, contact us immediately."

Upon hearing this, Noah Drexler pursed his thin lips and agreed.

"Alright!" As his words fell, he turned to look at Summer Shawcross beside him, instinctively reaching out to encircle her waist to leave, but she directly shrugged off his hand and walked away.

"..." Watching her leave, Noah Drexler’s figure stiffened, and his handsome face showed a hint of embarrassment.

Is she really angry?

As he furrowed his brow, feeling a bit displeased, he realized that everyone in the research room was looking at him with eyes full of anticipation for the drama.
