But she... was someone who had been pampered all her life, had never faced hardships, someone who was terrified of insects, someone who could cry from accidentally hitting her hand on his antique!

No one understood better than him that the agony of being bitten by thousands of venomous snakes, the heart-wrenching, all-consuming pain, was something she couldn’t endure!

His firm words left Summer Shawcross feeling a bit helpless; she hadn’t even tried yet, so how could he know she couldn’t do it?

Maybe she could?

Just as she was biting her lip, about to say more, Noah Drexler’s voice suddenly interrupted her.

"Summer Shawcross, I’ll find another way."

Another way?

Hearing his words, Summer felt a wave of helplessness in her heart. She knew there would be no other way unless a miracle happened.

But what she feared more was that he would use his blood to detoxify her before that miracle occurred!

Thinking of this, Summer bit her lip, then said to him with dissatisfaction.

"Noah Drexler, I haven’t even tried, how can you be so sure I can’t do it!"

It’s so unfair of him!

Noah Drexler furrowed his brows, staring at her, and spoke in a deep voice.

"Summer Shawcross, we won’t use this method."

"I want to try!" Summer bit her lip, speaking to him earnestly.

Seeing her determination, a hint of helplessness appeared on Noah Drexler’s face.

"But if you fail, you’ll die!" Noah Drexler’s brows knitted together, and he had to open his mouth to let her know the truth!

The result of this detoxification through sheer willpower, if it fails, is that she might end up painfully dying!

He couldn’t let her take on such a risk!

Looking at the man’s wary and cautious demeanor, Summer couldn’t help but feel a little helpless.

"But you succeeded, why can’t I?" she said, biting her lip.

Since he succeeded, why couldn’t he believe that she could do it too?

Besides, this was the best method she could think of right now.

If she could successfully detoxify herself through sheer willpower, it wouldn’t harm anyone.

And now, she only hoped he could believe in her.

Hearing her persistent voice, a hint of helplessness flickered in Noah Drexler’s eyes, and he could only lower his voice to explain to her.

"Summer Shawcross, I’m different from you."

It was because he had experienced it that he was more unwilling to let her try this method.

Because he knew in his heart that her chances of making it were slim.

After a moment’s pause, he continued, pressing his lips together, adding another sentence.

"Even someone like Sean Morgan might not succeed."

Not to mention her, even someone like Sean Morgan, who had been with him for years and was physically fit from martial arts, might not make it through!

So, he wouldn’t let her try this method no matter what.

Seeing how stubborn the man was, Summer’s face couldn’t help but show a hint of frustration.

"What’s different, we’re all human," she muttered softly.

Apart from this method, she couldn’t accept the other two methods.

She didn’t want to become a monster, nor did she want Noah Drexler or Sean Morgan to get into trouble because of her.

So she could only use this method because he had succeeded, and twice in a row, so she felt she still had hope of succeeding.

"Summer Shawcross..." Seeing her still unwilling to give up, a hint of helplessness appeared on the man’s face, feeling truly at a loss with her.
