My Aloof Husband, Mr. Drexler, Dotes Me Excessively

Chapter 747: He Said... A Life for a Life!

After a short while, the car slowly drove away, disappearing into the night.

In the early hours, Narsus City was still shrouded in darkness.

The car stopped outside an abandoned building in the outskirts, and Noah Drexler pushed open the door and got out, striding into the building, which turned out to be a laboratory inside its derelict exterior.

"Boss, you’re here!" As he walked in, several blond men in white coats approached, respectfully speaking to him.

"What’s going on?" Noah’s expression wasn’t good, and he asked them sternly.

One of the older blond men led Noah to several containers filled with blood, slowly explaining to him.

"We’ve discovered that the antibodies in your blood are very unique. They begin to disappear three days after storage... So, we can’t manufacture the antidote through blood storage."

Upon hearing this, Noah’s face tensed.

The antibodies in his blood couldn’t be preserved for more than three days?

Suddenly, he remembered the words the old man said on his deathbed: life for life!

At that time, he didn’t believe the old man, because blood can regenerate. So, he planned to collect and store enough blood his way, extract enough antibodies, mix them with the old man’s formula, and perhaps it would work.

However, he didn’t expect that the antibodies couldn’t survive for long.

Sean Morgan slowly came to Noah’s side, also looking troubled.

"Boss, there must be another way."

He believed that there definitely were other methods to detoxify the lady.

"We will try other methods!" The blond men in white coats nodded in agreement.

But Noah’s expression was still grim.

A moment later, he suddenly raised his hand, unbuttoned his suit jacket, handed it to Sean, and then unbuttoned his shirt cuffs, lifting his arm to expose it.

"Draw blood again, try other storage methods, or extract a small amount to make the antidote first, then store it!" He instructed the people in front of him with a blank expression.

"Understood!" Upon hearing this, the blond men nodded.

...

The next day.

When Summer Shawcross got up, Noah Drexler had already left.

She recalled how she had fallen asleep drowsily on Noah’s chest the night before, even forgetting to bathe, and was a little surprised.

Noah hadn’t thrown her onto the sofa to sleep!

After waking up, she got out of bed, slipped into her slippers, went straight into the bathroom, turned on the shower, and took a bath.

By the time she finished washing up and went downstairs to grab something to eat...

She had just reached the first floor when a figure approached her enthusiastically.

"Good morning, ma’am~" Katherine Irving came up to her, smiling brightly.

Summer was taken aback, almost startled.

"Um, are you okay..." Remembering Katherine’s behavior last night, Summer couldn’t help but cast a concerned look at her and suddenly asked.

"I’m sorry, ma’am, I lost my composure last night..." Recalling the events of the previous night, Katherine smiled sheepishly.

Last night, Sean had warned her that if she revealed the boss’s secret help in getting that little hamster for the lady, she’d be immediately packed off to Lyra.

So, to avoid being fired, she decided to keep the secret to her grave.
