Chapter 718: The Boss Is Furious!

"Sean got a bonus, and he promised to take me to the most expensive restaurant in Narsus City for dinner!" Katherine’s face lit up with joy as she mentioned Sean; her face even blushed a bit.

Seeing Katherine like this, Summer Shawcross couldn’t help but smile.

It was only in the past few days that Summer learned about the relationship between Katherine and Sean. When Katherine was in her teens, she lost her parents and was taken in by Sean’s parents out of kindness. Since then, Katherine has lived with Sean’s family, and Sean seems to have always looked after her as if she were his little sister, acting just like a big brother.

However, it seems that Katherine doesn’t quite think that way.

"Well, you can get off work now, hurry up and go. Don’t keep Sean waiting too long." Summer waved her hand and readily agreed.

Seeing Summer agree, Katherine’s expression grew even happier. Instead of leaving right away, she took out her phone.

"I’ll ask him if he’s off work yet."

As she spoke, she dialed Sean’s number.

The phone rang for quite a while before it was finally answered.

Hearing Sean’s voice, Katherine was overjoyed, but after chatting for just a moment, her face fell, and she unhappily said, "Okay then," before hanging up.

"What happened?" Seeing Katherine’s expression, Summer couldn’t help but ask.

"He said the boss is angry, and he can’t leave for now. It might have to be another day." Katherine said, looking frustrated.

She’s only been in Narsus City for a little over a week. Every day, Sean has been busy with Noah Drexler, barely having any time to have dinner with her, let alone get familiar with Narsus.

"Noah Drexler is angry?" Hearing Katherine’s words, Summer was taken aback.

Did something go wrong at work again?

She wondered, feeling a bit helpless. Although she had advised him to temper his anger for the sake of his health, it seemed to have had no effect.

Just as Summer was contemplating with a hint of worry, unsure whether to call Noah Drexler, Katherine suddenly looked at her with her eyes glowing.

"Oh right, ma’am, I’ve thought of a good idea!"

Hearing this, Summer was somewhat surprised.

"What idea?"

A good idea for getting Sean out of work so he could accompany her to the restaurant for dinner?

"Ma’am, please, go distract the boss!" Katherine looked at Summer with a mischievous grin!

Summer felt a bit awkward from her smile.

"Uh, how am I supposed to distract his attention? He’s angry right now; you can’t just push me into harm’s way..." Summer pursed her lips, unable to refrain from saying.

Noah Drexler is currently angry, and she’s not eager to experience his wrath.

After Summer finished speaking, Katherine quickly reached out and tugged at Summer’s hand, earnestly pleading with her.

"Ma’am, please help me out this once. If you don’t go, Sean won’t be able to leave. He finally agreed to take me out for dinner! The boss is so strict that he usually doesn’t give him time off, we can’t waste this opportunity!"

"Sean is so loyal to the boss, do you really want to see him exhausted all the time..."

Right now, the only person who could possibly remain unscathed when the boss is angry is Summer!

Hearing Katherine’s plea, Summer’s face turned helpless, and she sighed softly.
