Chapter 1148 - 1157: Kick Her Brother

Finn asked with a smile.

"Just watching the show!"

Anna held her glass, smiling as she spoke.

"Hmm?"

"I made my mom accept that woman." Anna sneered.

Miles thought Mrs. Monroe had really figured things out.

Ha, figured it out my ass.

No woman would figure it out, especially considering without Mrs. Monroe, Miles wouldn’t be where he is now.

Conscience, damn it, has really been eaten by dogs.

Anna thought this, her face showing anger, "Help me get some reporters inside."

This banquet was held for Miles’ mistress, but Miles was afraid things would get out of hand, so he invited guests but did not invite reporters.

"Sure!"

Finn smiled and agreed.

Having learned about Miles organizing the banquet for his mistress, Finn was puzzled by Anna’s reaction.

He thought Anna was asking him out for a meal to complain in tears.

Unexpectedly, Anna had already prepared.

She realized sitting across from her that Anna seemed different.

Anna was drinking, but wasn’t trying to get drunk; she was enjoying her red wine, and as Anna looked around, Finn asked, "Are you not looking for someone?"

"Yes!"

Anna nodded.

Her tone softened, "Carter said I could find him here!"

She initially wanted to come on her own, but Carter wasn’t assured, and had her bring Finn along.

She and Carter were secretly married, and it would be easy to be seen at such a noisy place like a bar.

After the incident with the Ford family little one, members of the Ford family were accompanied by bodyguards everywhere, so with Finn accompanying her, Carter was reassured.

"Is it your brother?"

Finn asked again.

No wonder Anna brought him to the bar; he had heard that Eldest Master Monroe was only drowning himself in alcohol due to Miles and his mistress’s matter, completely neglecting The Morgan Family and The Morgan Corporation’s affairs.

"Yes!"

Anna took another sip of wine, "I’ll keep looking."

Finn asked someone to help find him in the bar, but after searching for a long time, there was no sign of Eldest Master Monroe.

They thought Eldest Master Monroe wasn’t here today and got up to leave the bar.

The car was parked across the street, Finn went to drive it over, and Anna stood at the door waiting.

"Someone’s been hit, someone’s been hit!"

Anna heard shouting and followed the sound to see four or five people running out from a nearby alley by the bar, and shortly after, a man walked out covered in injuries.

He hadn’t walked far before he fell to the ground.

Though it was dark, the lights were bright here, and Anna instantly recognized it was her brother, the one regarded as The Morgan Family’s next leader, a young man of great accomplishments in Solaria.

In just two months, he had become a completely unfamiliar man to Anna.

Anna hurried over, walking to Eldest Master Monroe’s side.

The drunken Eldest Master Monroe grabbed Anna’s ankle.

"Wine, give me wine!"

Under the lights, Eldest Master Monroe’s clothes had turned from white to black, his forehead bruised and bloody, clearly just having been beaten.

"Brother!"

Seeing him like this made Anna sad, but there was more anger.

Eldest Master Monroe heard the familiar voice and came to his senses, looking up to see it was Anna, and with pressed lips, he rose from the ground.

"Anna, it’s you."

"Brought money? Take your brother to drink."

The siblings are three years apart, and their relationship is very good.

In school, Anna’s grades weren’t that great, but Eldest Master Monroe was always outstanding, an example for other families’ kids to learn from.

Wasn’t it just a woman?

Yet she had hurt Eldest Master Monroe this much.

"Tomorrow Miles is hosting a banquet to introduce Ivy to everyone."

"Mom has compromised."

Anna spoke with a calm voice as she looked at Eldest Master Monroe’s reaction.

Eldest Master Monroe was taken aback, he smirked, "Anna, got lots of cash on you?"

His way of asking for money made Anna’s anger reach its peak.
