Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure

Chapter 1143 - 1152: A Slap Right Across

Ivy found it strange, thinking that the relationship between Miles and Anna Morgan had returned to normal, yet feeling it was unlikely.

"A shameless person came to my house to flaunt and show off."

Anna mentioned the Preston sisters to Carter Lockwood, casting a cold glance at the stunned Ivy and then at Riley Preston’s increasingly angry face, her sneer deepened, "And there’s an idiot who calls my dad ’brother-in-law’.

"These days, mistresses are so arrogant!"

Anna said as she stepped forward.

"Stop right there!"

Riley, unlike Ivy, couldn’t hold it in. Hearing Anna call her an idiot, she stepped forward to stop her.

Anna paused her phone call and smiled as she looked at Wren Preston.

"What do you want?"

"Do you want to hit me?"

Anna taunted.

Riley was furious that Anna was calling her names while on the phone, but when Anna questioned her back, she didn’t know how to respond.

The girl in front of her was flamboyantly beautiful, and her gaze had a sense of oppression.

"Not hitting me?" Anna asked again, she had already switched her phone to the other hand, raising her free hand to slap Wren’s face.

The sound of the slap was loud, leaving Riley Preston stunned.

Ivy turned hurriedly to check her sister’s cheek, seeing the bright red handprint, she shouted at Anna, "Anna!"

Anna’s eyes turned cold, she looked Ivy up and down.

Her gaze was full of disdain, leaving Ivy feeling humiliated.

"Miles..."

The word "brother" didn’t leave her lips before Anna scoffed and resumed her call with Carter.

"Carter, I miss you, wait for me at home."

Could it be that Ivy had a brother?

She did!

Anna walked away from The Morgan Family with a smile on her face, leaving the two helpless and resentful Preston sisters.

"Sister!"

Watching Anna’s behavior, Riley cried with grievance.

Their family’s status was ordinary, nowhere near a match for The Morgan Family, but they’d never suffered such humiliation growing up.

Anna didn’t speak, just delivered a slap without a word.

"Why is she like this, what right does she have to hit me!"

Riley stomped her foot in anger, the red mark on her face made Ivy clench her fists tight.

"I’ll tell brother-in-law."

"Yara." Ivy comforted Riley, "Anna won’t be arrogant for much longer."

She knew Miles was eager for Mrs. Monroe to compromise.

Without a divorce, Mrs. Monroe couldn’t truly be Mrs. Monroe. Without her support, how long could Anna remain arrogant, and once her own child was born, the Morgan siblings would lose their place.

This entire scene in The Morgan Family courtyard was observed by Mrs. Monroe from upstairs.

She heard the commotion downstairs, got up to the window to see the Preston sisters had arrived, saw Anna hit Riley, and after Anna left, Ivy’s cold expression.

Indeed, if she remained weak, she wouldn’t even be able to protect her own daughter.

Anna left The Morgan Family, ready to drive her car back.

As she reached her car, she heard a car horn behind her and turned to see Carter’s car parked behind her.

Anna was delighted and walked over as Carter got out of the car, instructing the driver to take Anna’s car.

"Why are you here?"

In the car, Anna asked.

"Were you worried I’d be bullied?"

Anna asked with a smile.

"Yes!"

Carter replied.

He was indeed worried.
