Anna emerged from his embrace, her clear eyes filled with a hint of sorrow.

"My dad is causing trouble for my mom with the divorce."

"Yes!"

"Why?" Anna asked, replying based on what she heard in the news and snippets of memory, "He cheated."

"Found a girl prettier and younger than my mom!"

"Yes!"

Carter Lockwood admitted.

"I don’t believe it."

"Many people don’t believe it."

Carter Lockwood replied, "But it’s the truth."

The change in Mr. Monroe took everyone by surprise, but for those accustomed to seeing two-faced behavior, Carter Lockwood didn’t find Mr. Monroe’s transformation problematic.

"After achieving success, one becomes dissatisfied with their current life."

When Mr. Monroe married Mrs. Monroe, there were many interests involved. As he stabilized his position with the power from his wife’s family, reaching a point where he had everything he wanted, he began to look back for a love that belonged to him.

The girl’s appearance was timely, and Mr. Monroe’s odd behavior became understandable.

"I feel terrible." Anna buried her face in Carter Lockwood’s embrace, "My dad is really good, and he loves my mom very much."

There’s also my brother, and me.

"He loves you all."

But he loves himself more.

Mr. Monroe didn’t feel he was wrong; when people reach high places, they vigorously resist the attempts of others to stop them.

"I called my mom earlier, she didn’t mention it." Anna began to sob, saying.

"She thought you knew and didn’t want to bring it up again."

Mrs. Monroe is still considering marriage issues with Mr. Monroe.

She wants to return to the early times, but it’s unlikely.

"What should I do!"

Anna asked.

When Anna learned Mr. Monroe betrayed the family, she felt hurt but not entirely helpless.

Because she knows Carter Lockwood is there for her.

With him, even if the sky falls, it’s okay.

"You do as you wish."

Carter Lockwood said softly, "I’m here."

Those three words tenderly echoed into Anna’s heart. Anna, with her reddened eyes, emerged from his embrace, looked at him, and smiled slightly, "How can I be so lucky."

During the worst time of her life, she met Carter Lockwood and became his wife.

"It’s me who’s lucky." Carter Lockwood responded, having deceived Anna, causing her to lose her memory and become his wife.

Also lucky to have Anna Morgan relying on him now.

"Carter Lockwood." Anna watched the smile emerging from Carter Lockwood’s lips and couldn’t help but be captivated.

"You’re really good-looking."

In her heart, Carter Lockwood is the best-looking, "You look even better when you smile."

Carter Lockwood was momentarily stunned; he wasn’t good at smiling but found himself unconsciously smiling at Anna’s words.

Turns out, smiling wasn’t difficult.

"Makes me want to..."

Anna said, leaning up to kiss Carter Lockwood’s cheek, "kiss you."

The gloomy mood instantly turned very good when she kissed.

Carter Lockwood looked at Anna, who emerged from his embrace, with his smile noticeably growing larger.

It was wonderful to have Anna Morgan who liked him by his side.

Not having had dinner, Anna tasted Carter Lockwood’s cooking again.

Because it was so late, Carter Lockwood casually made her some noodles.

Anna ate while browsing her phone when Sister Fang called to ask where she was.

Anna said she was home eating noodles.

Hearing Anna’s response, Sister Fang instantly felt relieved.

She was really afraid Anna would be taken away, never to return.
