Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure
Chapter 1124 - 1133: Just Go
Anna Morgan said dejectedly as she looked down at the phone on the table, wanting to call her mom right away but feeling scared.
"Don’t think too much."
Sister Fang said with a smile, "No matter what happens, don’t let yourself suffer."
Sister Fang looked at the beautiful Anna in the mirror and felt quite upset inside.
She had been in this circle longer than Anna Morgan; either you have a strong background or you latch onto a powerful benefactor.
Previously, Anna Morgan belonged to the former category.
Mr. Monroe and the Eldest Master Monroe would pave the way smoothly for her in her acting career, not only preventing losses but even filling any bumps in advance.
How did everything change so quickly, that Mr. Monroe would do such a thing!
Men, really not many are trustworthy!
"Mhm." Anna picked up a pen to put on her makeup, not paying much attention to Sister Fang’s advice.
When filming started, Director Lowell kept picking on Anna’s mistakes.
One moment her gaze wasn’t good enough, another moment she walked off track, and after several retakes, he took the opportunity to reprimand Anna harshly, making her furious enough to consider quitting.
Both Sister Fang and Anna clearly felt that Director Lowell was deliberately finding faults.
It was obvious he was venting on behalf of Zoe Quinn.
Luckily, Director Lowell wasn’t overly excessive; after giving Anna a hard time, he finally agreed to pass the scene.
In the afternoon, Sister Fang came to Anna with the script.
She said the new script changed a lot of Anna Morgan’s scenes, and the deleted scenes were rewritten for Zoe Quinn and other supporting characters.
Sister Fang noticed that those with added scenes all had strong backers.
When they first took this project, the director and investors approached Anna Morgan multiple times, agreeing to various conditions.
Anna Morgan was tired of filming elsewhere and proposed to shoot in Solaria, to which the crew agreed.
Hardly any time passed after filming started, and the crew director changed his attitude towards Anna upon learning Mr. Monroe had a new love.
Sister Fang couldn’t help but feel angry!
But she couldn’t go to Mr. Monroe; even if she did, he wouldn’t care.
"Fewer scenes mean maybe finishing work earlier!"
Anna Morgan wasn’t that furious; she thought she could finish work early and go home to be with Carter Lockwood.
Previously, she found acting very interesting; however, once married, the more she sees her husband, the more appealing he seems!
Sister Fang, who was extremely angry about the script change, was nearly livid hearing Anna’s comment.
Anna Morgan really was enchanted by the pretty boy!
It seems she needs to find time to meet the pretty boy so he doesn’t deceive Anna into losing both her heart and money.
In the evening, Anna went with the director and others for dinner.
Sister Fang was worried and wanted to tag along, but the director laughed and said the private room was too small to accommodate so many people.
Sister Fang knew this was just a pretense; it wasn’t that the private room was small, but rather they feared her presence as a manager would be inconvenient.
"Sister Fang." Anna patted Sister Fang’s shoulder and smiled, "It’s okay, go back and rest. I can take care of myself."
The dinner arrangement was made by Carter Lockwood; since he agreed, nothing should go wrong.
Anna Morgan was one hundred percent confident in Carter Lockwood’s words.
"Anna."
Sister Fang shook her head at Anna, "You can’t go by yourself."
"Don’t worry!" Anna nodded at Sister Fang, "You head back first."
Having her tag along, it’s them who are uneasy.
Sister Fang, seeing Anna so determined for her to leave, thought for a moment before softly saying, "Anna, if you notice anything wrong, just run."
"Also, don’t drink that alcohol on the dining table."
"Mhm!"
