Chapter 1058 - 1057: Ultimately a Hidden Danger

Just in time, she also had something to say to Fiona.

"Aunt."

Fiona came in and saw Mrs. Ford dressed very casually.

Mrs. Ford turned her head and glanced at her.

"The person is still sleeping in the guest room over there, you can go and take them away."

"Thank you, Aunt." Fiona responded politely with a smile.

"When do you plan to marry him?"

Mrs. Ford asked.

The uncertainty about Fiona’s affairs made Mrs. Ford uneasy, not necessarily wanting Fiona to get married, but Fiona was ultimately a concern for The Ford Family.

"It should be soon." Fiona replied with a smile, "I won’t let Aunt and Finn feel uncomfortable."

Her words inexplicably made Mrs. Ford feel uneasy.

"Aunt, there’s something I want to ask you."

Fiona asked.

"What?"

"Why do you hate me so much? Is it because of my mom?"

Mrs. Ford didn’t want to answer Fiona’s question.

"My mom has been dead for so many years, what is there left for you to hate?"

Mrs. Ford paused; since Fiona asked, she decided to answer once and for all.

"I do dislike you, indeed partly because of your mother."

This answer made Fiona curl her lips into a mocking smile.

She knew it was all about this!

After all, Mrs. Ford was jealous that her mother had captured Mr. Ford’s heart.

"But..." Mrs. Ford changed the subject, gazing at Fiona calmly, and continued, "The main issue is still you."

"Fiona, you have impure intentions!"

Mrs. Ford was a good judge of character, Fiona grew up in The Ford Family, and Mrs. Ford never interfered with her education.

How this child grew astray, when her thoughts became so deep, and at what point she had improper ideas, Mrs. Ford never paid attention.

She allowed Mr. Ford to support her, but only for her to have food and drink.

She did not meddle in any other affairs.

"Loving someone is also considered impure intentions?"

Fiona retorted loudly, "Because of my mom, you don’t want me to become your daughter-in-law."

If Mrs. Ford hadn’t intervened, Fiona felt that when she joined The Ford Family, she would have been nurtured as the future Mrs. Ford, not a dependent foster daughter.

"There is some of that." Mrs. Ford admitted.

"Julian won’t fall in love with you either."

Even if Mrs. Ford liked Fiona, Julian didn’t like her.

"Fiona, talking about this now is meaningless, live your own life well."

For Mr. Ford’s sake, she could choose not to target Fiona.

"Aunt, you are truly generous." Mrs. Ford heard the sarcasm in Fiona’s words and turned her head to look over, displeased.

"This morning Dad said he had some things to do and left."

"Do you know where he went?"

As she spoke, Fiona’s lips were tinged with mockery.

"Where!"

Mrs. Ford’s voice sounded, asking.

Last night, Mr. Ford had insomnia and moved to the study to sleep. In the morning, when Mrs. Ford woke up and went to the study, no one was there.

The servant said Mr. Ford had left early in the morning.

Where he went, Mrs. Ford originally didn’t care, but hearing Fiona mention it, she got anxious.

"I told him I wanted to get married soon and asked when he’d go talk to my mom!"

"I thought Dad would wait a few days to visit the grave, but unexpectedly he went this early in the morning."

"Aunt, you say, after so many years of being married to Dad, in the end, he still can’t let go of my mom."
