Chapter 4478: Fight

Chapter 4478: Fight

I turned slowly and found it looking at me with its iridescent reptilian eyes.

I wanted to curse my luck, but I maintained calm and projected confidence in it. Fighting is the last thing I want to do. If I could avoid it, I would.

So, I looked straight into its eyes. Told it, if it fights me, there is only one end waiting for it.

It hesitated, and hope lit up in my heart, but the next moment. It disappeared, and my sword appeared in my hand.

Raor!

It roared, and in that exact moment, a blast of shining blue energy came at me. It is fast and powerful; the blast contained the powerful, concentrated wild energies.

I swing my sword toward it, with a vein-like pattern covering the blade.

Rip!

The blade touched the blast, and it stilled for a moment before cutting through it.

The blast was divided into two pieces and moved past me. Destroying the trees behind me, but I didn’t even look, as my focus is on the monster that appeared in front of me like a ghost.

Its fast; those long, thin legs give it amazing speed.

It didn’t roar; it simply attacked me with its dark black claws. The claws are big; they are as long as my palm, but they are extremely sharp, highly concentrated energy covering them.

Clang!

My sword clashed against its claws, and I felt the powerful physical shock shake me, while sending a concentrated burst of energy at me through my sword.

It clashed against my armour, before it seemed inside where it is divided and went into the thousands of formations.

The monster looked surprised. It had likely never fought a person, but it reacted fast a moment later. showing its speed once more, as well as its agility, which appeared behind me and attacked my head.

Clang

I defended, but this time, it didn’t stop. It attacked again, before sending a blast of energy at me.

I defended the attack before craning my neck, dodging the energy blast by less than an inch, before moving my sword to defend against another of its claws.

It didn’t stop; it sent another blast while attacking me with its claws.

I looked at the attack, and its powerful. I dealt with two ways and made the decision instantly.

Rip Clang!

My sword cut through the blast before defending against the claw. It was a risk, but I knew it would work. It is powerful and has good fighting instincts, but it’s still a monster.

If it had been a person, I wouldn’t have taken such a massive risk.

Clang!

I had just dealt with the attack when it came again and again. It didn’t stop even for a moment.

"You are one relentless monster," I said to the monster as I defended against its attacks, while my soul waves scanned the area around me.

I could see the sea monster at a far range of soul waves, but it remained oblivious to the fight.

Our battle is destroying everything around us, but it remains oblivious. The energy is so thick, it whittles all; even our powerful shockwaves were quickly whittled away to nothing.

Forgot the energies, even the sound didn’t seem to escape it.

Unless one is really close, they can forget sensing anything, and that is the scariest part of this place and the reason why. So, few Prime’s dared to come here.

Because here, you might not know where the monster is; it might be just a step outside the rage.

Here to survive, one needs a lot of luck, and earlier, I had been quite unlucky. The spark just lit by me, and if I hadnt dodged it on time, I would have vaporised out of this world.

That blast had forced me to fight this monster, which is as powerful as I am.

Even makes it dealing with even more tricky is its speed. Lizards generally are not fast, but this one.

It has been attacking me recently from all sides. Using a well-regarded strategy that many powerhouses use, it lets them find a weak spot and go for the kill.

This strategy keeps the opponent on its heels. Stretch their reflexes, strain them.

I kept defending it; I didn’t attack, I only defended, and as the seconds passed. It began to frustrate the monster, and it started to take risks.

Raor!

It roared frustratingly and attacked even faster, taking more risks. Despite that, I didn’t change my strategy and kept defending.

People aren’t the only ones who get frustrated. Monsters get too.

If it had been another type of monster, I would have finished it by now, but its speed makes things tricky. So, I have to be careful.

I want to kill it; I don’t want it to run away. It might make things trickier. So, I have to be careful.

Seconds passed, and I kept fighting it while keeping my eyes on the surroundings. The monster is still close, but it didn’t sense the fight until now.

It might, if we kept fighting. So, I couldn’t waste too much time; I need to finish it soon.

Still, I didn’t hurry and kept defending, letting it get more aggressive, while I calmly waited for the chance.

It took some time, but it finally came.

Once more, it came at me with a claw, attacking my neck. It came faster, hoping I would defend, or it would succeed in killing. I didn’t think that third could happen.

I let it come close and even moved the sword forward, while the runes lit up in my armour.

When its claws were inches away from my sword, I moved. It’s just a short distance, but I moved at speed, I never did.

I couldn’t move at this speed for long, but it’s enough.

The monster reacted fast, not fast enough, and my sword reached its neck.

Puch!

It pierced through it; there was good defense, but my sword had always been good at breaching through them, and this time, too. It didn’t disappoint.

It is not enough to kill it. It is why, this time, I sent the burst of energy that immobilized for a fraction of a second, but that’s more than enough.

Once in my core, I threw it in the plant’s domain, right in the middle.
