MMORPG: Rise of the Peerless Pumpkinmancer

Chapter 475: EVERYTHING! ALL OF IT!

Chapter 475: EVERYTHING! ALL OF IT!

As the “7th leader” rose, he couldn’t hide his hunger…

This was his chance! Scaly wanted generals, right? He had shone as much as that white lizard, if not more! In fact, had it not been for the weird tricks, he would have won!

There was only one little thing standing in his way.

As most of the lizards sat on the ground trying to absorb as much Mana as possible, he powerfully walked up… and still kept absorbing even then?!

He was akin to a flame in the dark, his aura rising with every decisive step, all until he reached the 1st Legion he had “submitted” to. Then, with one swift motion…

GRAB! CRUSH! He killed its leader?!

[Warning! Rebellion Detected! Divine Punish—]

“Oh, but I did submit. I’m even risking my life to give you guys a strong leader. How about it, would you rather have some wimp of a lizard or the one that made all this possible?”

Instead of cowering, he confronted them, his grin explosively demonic. And with this, they were the ones to submit, especially knowing the 12th Legion was dead last.

[Ding! Successfully Took Over the 1st Legion!]

And that’s when it happened. The stream of Mana he had been diligently absorbing? It suddenly turned into a torrent! Hell, he was even visibly bulking with every second!

His mere appearance was enough to put all bodybuilders to shame.

At the rate he was going, he’d turn into a Titan! He wasn’t just domineering. He was awe-striking. If there was a General evolution, then it was as good as his!

And as he felt power course through his claw, he grinned.

“Hehe, let’s see you beat that, you white bitch!”

Arcane lizard or not, fake or not, he didn’t mind one bit as long as Jack got crushed. The bastard deserved it for standing against him, one with a soul older than all others.

Yes, that was his secret. He wasn’t like the other puny lizards. He wasn’t actually a newborn. Or rather, his soul wasn’t, all his memories intact.

And those memories would soon come in handy.

He couldn’t wait to use all the torture methods he knew on that bastard. He couldn’t wait to ravage him. He couldn’t wait to— A bunch of gasps interrupted his thoughts.

His troops were gazing at him with horror in their eyes.

’Hehe, scared by my awesomeness? Of course!’

He showed yet another vicious and powerful grin. It was fine. They’d get used to it. They’d— STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! Out of nowhere, a weird cold filled his body. What?!

And with it, he felt the addictive Mana leave him.

“NO! WHAT IS THIS?! WHAT IS?!”

He tried to plug it with his hands, a torrent of blue instantly staining them, the bright blue of blood. And as he turned his neck, he was faced with a vision straight from a nightmare.

Thirty very weak-looking lizards

Thirty lizards from the weakest Legion

Thirty lizards with their claws ripping him apart.

In their eyes there was a cold mocking light, one of them reading a certain message aloud and clearly deriving pleasure from the act.

“Kill the annoying 7th bastard. Wait a bit. He thinks himself smart, but he ain’t. He’ll take over. He’ll steal all the Mana. He’ll grow complacent. That’s when you strike.”

Another lizard kept reading…

“Don’t kill him too fast. Let him feel it. Strike to disable. Target the lower back first, right in the Mana Circuit. Now, he can’t even fight. Too much energy, too hard to control.”

Yet another continued…

“Greedy little lizard. Dumb little lizard. Dead little lizard. Not quite. Doomed little lizard. We could have been friends. But you courted death. You sure are skilled.”

That’s when the scene seemed to change…

It wasn’t the 12th Legion stabbing him, but a white lizard. It wasn’t Mana rampaging inside him, but a white lizard. It wasn’t bad luck; it was all the white lizard.

EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING FROM THE START HAD BEEN HIM. EVERYTHING FROM THE VERY MOMENT HE HAD OPENED HIS EYES HAD BEEN HIS DOING. EVERY—

A certain not 7th leader, not 1st leader either, suddenly turned mad. Even before he turned into a corpse, he was already gone, only an empty husk remaining.

Yet, that didn’t stop the 12th Legion members…

STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB! STAB!

They kept going until there was nothing of the victim, anyone seeing this about to go mad from the hair-raising scene. ’Stop, it’s already dead!’ They felt like screaming.

Yet none dared speak out. They simply watched, shell-shocked into submission, their entire bodies trembling. At this moment, the 30 lizards traumatized the more than a thousand.

And as a 12th Legion member took a step forward…

Step back! The sea of lizards cowered in fear, questioning the world they were in. What the fuck was happening right now?! This was a nightmare, right?!

Oh, it was about to be.

A certain white lizard had just realized two things. One, the recording from the outside had stopped. Two, there was lots of Mana available.

That’s when a pillar of light rose from the 12th Legion base! It was as if an orbital strike had been called on it and seemed to contain the power of the universe!

But then it became even more terrifying once they understood what it was. The Mana in the surroundings? It was now fleeing, rushing to that one spot.

No, it wasn’t a pillar. It was a certain white lizard.

EVERYTHING WAS A WHITE LIZARD!

Back there, Jack was already feeling invigorated, rising up as if the second coming of Scaly. And with endless Mana entering his body, he felt euphoric and invincibility.

He took a step, and the ground shattered.

He waved a claw, and the Altar settled in his inventory.

He sighed, and the corpses all around flew, forming a tornado.

Actually, that sure was a lot of corpses, right? What would have spooked anyone else made him smile wryly. It was the least he could do to appease his fallen troops’ spirits.

A few seconds later, the entire world trembled….
