(I heard from friends in the group that my book was maliciously reported by certain groups. Recently, Tomato has banned a bunch of books...)

That woman's face couldn't be seen clearly. She had long since abandoned her identity as a human, so even though she had returned to human form, she no longer possessed a human face.

She transformed into a streak of light and flashed behind Loren.

Even without authority, she was powerful enough on her own.

Light coalesced into a longsword in the God of Light and Fire's hand. Just as she was about to thrust it down, Anna's scythe came slashing down.

The God of Light and Fire had no choice but to transform into a streak of light and flee once again. Anna's scythe struck the hard ground, and a deep crevice instantly appeared in the earth.

At this moment, the God of Light and Fire was suspended in midair, perfectly positioned as Laila's target. The Heart's Scales fired twice in quick succession, the shotgun pellets for marking and the enchanted bullets for damage shooting out simultaneously.

The God of Light and Fire already bore Laila's mark, so Laila didn't need to mark her separately.

"All the Tarot cards are right here. Come and take them if you dare."

Loren pulled out the Unabandoned Casket, grabbed the Tarot cards inside, and flung them directly into the air.

He was afraid the God of Light and Fire would simply flee, and then things would get troublesome.

Loren had lured her out using the Final Fragment - this was extremely important intelligence. The gods wanted nothing more than to get their hands on it at all times.

If this information were to leak out, the Divine War would stop instantly.

The gods dreamed of obtaining more authority, even of becoming the Final Singer.

The God of Light and Fire, who had originally planned to escape, immediately reversed course and flashed to Loren's side.

Her speed was too fast, so fast that no one else could keep up.

The God of Light and Fire's hand grabbed at the Tarot cards, but her hand passed right through them.

The Tarot cards were still under Loren's control, so Loren could naturally use their abilities.

Before the Tarot cards even hit the ground, Loren slashed out with his blade:

"Throat-Severing Slash!"

Magic was unlikely to hit the God of Light and Fire, so Loren had already converted his Intelligence into Strength in advance.

For this strike, Loren used every ability he had. The Strength Card's power was pushed to its absolute limit, making this slash inconceivably fast.

The Requiem's speed was even faster than the God of Light and Fire's movements. She didn't even have time to turn around, but her body still transformed into a streak of light.

Before she could disappear, Starnight, who had transformed into a Dusk Crow, spread her wings wide. The light radiating from the God of Light and Fire's body was instantly swallowed up.

"Die!"

With the element of surprise, Loren's slash struck solidly across the God of Light and Fire's face, embedding deep into her bones.

The Judgment card didn't take effect. After all, she was just a fake, not the true God of Light and Fire, and hadn't committed that much evil.

The stricken God of Light and Fire didn't counterattack. Instead, she used the momentum of the Requiem's impact to retreat backward. If not for the Requiem being so incredibly sharp, this slash wouldn't have even wounded her.

But just then, the bullet Laila had fired earlier curved through the air and struck the God of Light and Fire square in the cheek.

Those tiny steel pellets were immediately deflected. Even though they had been enchanted, they couldn't deal much damage to this fake orthodox god.

But the bullet that followed was a different story entirely. It embedded directly into the God of Light and Fire's eye. The liquid inside burst forth, instantly flooding the God of Light and Fire's brain.

Even so, the God of Light and Fire didn't make a single sound. She focused solely on escaping.

With Starnight's full-power suppression, she couldn't use much in the way of powerful light magic, only pure flight.

Laila quickly reloaded and fired, sending a second wave of bullets.

The God of Light and Fire transformed back into a sun once more. But unlike before, this time the sun she became had only temperature, no light.

Only when both the Light and Fire authorities were combined did it become a true sun. Moreover, she didn't even have authority now - this sun was pure magic.

But even so, the sun she transformed into was terrifying enough. Laila's bullets were vaporized before they could even hit.

"Starnight, transform into the Eternal Ember Serpent!"

Even as he spoke, Loren had already grown Dusk Crow wings.

Loren's plan was simple: use the combined abilities of the Dusk Crow and the Eternal Ember Serpent to completely seal off both types of the God of Light and Fire's magic.

"Yes."

Starnight gave Loren a brief reply, then her body began to expand. In no time, she had become a gray-white giant serpent.

By the time Loren flew above the God of Light and Fire, Starnight had already coiled around her in the center. The flames on the God of Light and Fire's body were instantly extinguished, so much so that she lost all momentum and began to plummet.

On the ground below, Anna and Laila stood watch with fierce intensity. Laila once again aimed her gun at her.

In the midst of the crisis, the God of Light and Fire suddenly stomped on the air. A violent storm erupted from beneath her feet.

"Treading Wind Stride..."

Loren recognized what kind of magic this was. He wasn't surprised that the God of Light and Fire could use magic from other sequences.

After all, magic had been sealed away by the Orthodox Gods. It wasn't strange that the God of Light and Fire, being one of them, could use other magic.

Having lost her most critical abilities, everything the God of Light and Fire did now was just a death throes struggle.

She hadn't even flown that high when the Requiem plunged into her mouth.

"Blood Moon Condensed Light!"

Loren shouted with all his might. Three thousand points of Mana's worth of Blood Moon Condensed Light exploded within the God of Light and Fire's body.

A fake had no authority, so she also had no immortality.

With her core abilities all sealed, she couldn't withstand this attack at all.

The God of Light and Fire's body exploded instantly. Under Loren's precise control, not a single bit of Blood Moon Condensed Light's power was wasted. Even after she burst apart, nothing else was caught in the blast.

"Did we win?"

"We won."

Loren landed slowly and caught the Moon card that had fallen from the sky.

On the card's face was a moon with a grotesque human face. All manner of unspeakable things danced upon the moon.

[Tarot Card - The Moon]

Effect: Summons the thing the target fears most.

Description: "You really dare not face him."

"Let's head back?"

Anna placed her scythe behind her and hopped over to Loren's side.

"You all go back first. I have a bad feeling about this..."

Loren held the Moon card and gazed up at the sky.

At this moment, the moon in the sky vanished entirely. The world grew darker and darker, until a bolt of lightning split the night sky.

"The God of Night and Thunder is coming..."

Loren's earlier speculation had been correct. The Final Fragment hadn't just attracted the fake God of Light and Fire - it had also drawn in the real God of Night and Thunder.

But Loren wasn't particularly afraid. He was wondering what effect the Moon card would have on the God of Night and Thunder.

Would it summon the Perpetual Observer, or would it turn Loren into the Perpetual Observer?
