Miss Witch, It's Time to Clean the Entries
Chapter 116 - 103: Disease Witch Dora
Chapter 116: Chapter 103: Disease Witch Dora
A Knight in Armor stopped the carriage and said in a tone that left no room for doubt,
"You cannot enter Blue Moon Territory."
Minister of Foreign Affairs Alex Pool disembarked from the carriage to negotiate.
A moment later, he returned to the carriage and looked at Lian, his face grim.
"Lord Lian, they are members of the Clergy and a Knight Order from the Holy Court. It looks like we’ll have to make camp outside Blue Moon Territory, just like them. We can’t enter for the time being."
Lian raised an eyebrow. "Is the contamination not cleared yet?"
"It’s more serious than that."
In fact, Alex Pool wanted to suggest the army stay at least two kilometers away from the High Wall to ensure their safety.
"The out-of-control Witch Dora isn’t dead. They say she’s still wandering inside Blue Moon Territory, and any place she appears immediately becomes a newly contaminated zone. It’s incredibly dangerous."
Alex Pool said in frustration.
Inside the carriage, the color drained from Catherine’s face. A complex storm of emotions flashed in her eyes—surprise mingled with sorrow, sorrow with anxiety, and anxiety with melancholy.
She clutched the hem of her skirt and said in an almost hoarse voice,
"Dora is still alive?"
"Yes, Miss Catherine. The men from the Polestar Knight Order say Witch Dora is still alive, but she is completely out of control."
Of course, Catherine knew what "completely out of control" meant.
Tears streamed down her face against her will.
The moment she thought about her only friend, once the Guardian of Blue Moon Territory, now a tool for its destruction, a walking catastrophe, she felt like she couldn’t breathe.
She could already foresee Dora’s death and the monstrous crimes that would be recorded in the pages of history after she was gone.
In Catherine’s eyes, Dora was innocent.
But no one could clear Dora’s name.
And no one could save Dora.
And she, as her only friend, couldn’t even go to see her now.
Because she was an out-of-control Witch, and Catherine was just an ordinary person with a terminal illness.
Seeing Catherine sobbing to the point of trembling, Lian pulled her into his arms and comforted her softly,
"This isn’t your fault, Catherine. Everyone has their own destiny."
"She’s a really, really good person. She doesn’t deserve such an unfair fate."
Catherine said through her tears.
"Lord Lian, we should go see the Grand Priest."
Alex Pool reminded him.
Understanding, Catherine wiped her tears and stepped out of Lian’s embrace.
Lian patted her shoulder. "Catherine, you should rest for a while."
"No, I want to go with you."
Catherine said firmly.
Lian nodded slightly, dismounted the carriage with his fiancée, and walked to the temporary church where the Priests were staying.
The Priests didn’t like living in tents; they only liked living in churches.
As long as they had construction-type Magic Stones, they could build temporary churches anywhere.
These churches looked no different from ordinary ones. The only difference was that when the Magic Stone’s power was depleted, the church would collapse.
Even though it was daytime, the church was filled with lit candles.
The stained-glass oriel windows refracted multicolored beams of light, casting them upon the Grand Priest as he prayed to the God of Tiger, making him appear bathed in divine grace.
The Grand Priest, dressed in a white robe, heard the footsteps but did not turn around.
Beside him stood two attendants dressed in white, nearly identical except for their gender.
’Lian had rarely seen fraternal twins who looked so similar. If he hadn’t noticed the male attendant’s Adam’s apple, he might have thought the Grand Priest shared his own hobby of fancying twin Maids.’
’Then again, it seemed the Grand Priest was even more audacious.’
The Five-star Glory Knight, Hickman, leaned lazily against a pew. Even though he saw Lian and Catherine, he didn’t greet them, instead choosing to feign sleep.
’Lian knew there was no way the man didn’t recognize the sigil of Green Shade Territory, but he simply didn’t care.’
This Five-star Glory Knight was indeed very arrogant.
Although Hickman was only a Knight Commander, he was a true noble from the Royal Capital Yalong City. He looked down on the lords from the Border Counties, and even more so on Lian, an Illegitimate Child.
In his opinion, an Illegitimate Child inheriting a lordship was a desecration of the peerage.
Of course, the founder of Green Shade Territory had also been an Illegitimate Child.
This only made the Five-star Glory Knight Hickman feel even more repulsed, wanting nothing to do with Lian Moria.
’If that upstart doesn’t know his place and comes looking for trouble, I wouldn’t mind letting this Illegitimate Child experience what a true Knight is.’
Lian ignored the arrogant Hickman and walked with Catherine to the Grand Priest’s side.
They were stopped by two Priests when they were still three meters from the Grand Priest.
These two Priests wore black robes and had seemed to completely merge with the shadows. Even someone as observant as Lian hadn’t noticed them until now.
’Their faces were utterly nondescript, the kind you’d forget the moment you looked away—nothing at all like the familiar Father Simo.’
"This is Lord Lian, the Lord of Green Shade Territory."
Minister of Foreign Affairs Alex Pool introduced, "And Miss Catherine, the legitimate heir of Blue Moon Territory."
Grand Priest Cosme Pizarro finished his prayer, turned around, and smiled at the two of them.
His face was lined with the passage of time, but his smile was kind and amiable, putting one at ease as if in a gentle spring breeze.
"Lord Lian, Miss Catherine, I am very sorry, but I’m afraid Blue Moon Territory will require some more time to be cleared."
