Chapter 3215: Chapter 1087_2
The Beast King is not just any Tianyan Beast; its emergence is even more difficult than the rise of a king who unites most of the Heavenly Eye Users.
Generally, as long as a Heavenly Eye User is strong enough, when they surpass most other Heavenly Eye Users, they can attempt to dominate others. Although not all Heavenly Eye Users may agree with such a decision, those who resist, or dare to resist, will be few in number.
Therefore, as long as there is enough strength, any Heavenly Eye User has the potential to become a king.
But the Beast King is different. Tianyan Beasts value strength even more than the Heavenly Eye Users. A Heavenly Eye User might still become a king with collective strength, but if a Tianyan Beast does not have the power to suppress all other Tianyan Beasts, it is impossible for others to obey it.
Moreover, having strength alone does not guarantee a Tianyan Beast to become a Beast King. Given their circumstances, if a Tianyan Beast is only powerful but lacks wisdom beyond the ordinary, it will lead a solitary life in a certain area rather than attempting to unify other Tianyan Beasts.
Thus, besides having sufficient strength, the Beast King must possess corresponding wisdom. Without these two conditions, no Tianyan Beast can ascend to that position.
While it’s true that the emergence of a Beast King is rare, even according to the historical records of the Heavenly Eye Users, the number of times a Beast King has appeared is few. But one cannot deny that the presence of a Beast King would heavily impact the Heavenly Eye Users, though not enough to annihilate them.
Since Tianyan Beasts are naturally more numerous than Heavenly Eye Users, if they all gather under the Beast King’s command and unleash their real combat power, the sheer numbers would make it easy to defeat the Heavenly Eye Users.
Thus, when a Beast King leads a horde of Tianyan Beasts to attack Heavenly Eye User settlements, it inevitably results in significant casualties for the Heavenly Eye Users.
Of course, if the Heavenly Eye Users truly unite against the Beast King, there is still hope to fend off its attacks. Although the Beast King sees the Heavenly Eye Users as a threat, given the absolute advantage of the Tianyan Beasts, it doesn’t take the extermination of Heavenly Eye Users too seriously. If it realizes a fight might cause injury, the Beast King might cease its aggression.
Unfortunately, compared to Tianyan Beasts, the Heavenly Eye Users are more complex in their thoughts, leading to conflicts among themselves, making wholehearted cooperation difficult.
As a result, under the threat of the Beast King, there have been alliances among Heavenly Eye Users. However, due to power struggles among the upper echelons and fear among the lower ranks, such alliances, even if formed, often fail to effectively combat the Beast King.
Conversely, while the emergence of a Beast King is rare and often challenged by many Tianyan Beasts, a defeated Beast King loses everything.
However, before a frontal defeat, the simple-minded Tianyan Beasts follow the Beast King’s orders without second thoughts, making it easy to rout the disorganized Heavenly Eye Users unless the Beast King makes a grave mistake.
That said, regardless of the threat the Beast King poses to the Heavenly Eye Users, it holds little immediate significance for Zhou Tian. Even if their luck is poor, the likelihood of encountering a Beast King just by relocating is virtually zero.
Given the situation, not only is there no Beast King, but even the possibility of one arises, the area Zhou Tian conquered wouldn’t have survived until now. Thus, Zhou Tian conquering the Heavenly Eye Users’ settlement suggests the absence of a Beast King in that region.
Still, even if there isn’t a Beast King, the Tianyan Beasts’ power alone, if they truly target Zhou Tian and his group, could make their safe withdrawal from the wilderness challenging.
For Zhou Tian, relocation is imperative, given the macro environment. If Zhou Tian doesn’t relocate the population, much of his invasion gains would be lost.
It’s no surprise Zhou Tian acted as he did to realize his plans. However, his actions, regardless of how normal, can easily provoke the Tianyan Beasts and lead to war.
Beasts are territorial.
The stronger the beast, the larger its territory, and generally, they don’t hunt in the outside world unless their own Territory lacks food, as most won’t leave their Territory easily. If a threat enters their Territory, they see it as a challenger or invader.
To the Tianyan Beasts, the residence of the Heavenly Eye Users is their Territory. While strong Tianyan Beasts exist nearby, they generally avoid those areas.
Only when Tianyan Beasts want to occupy the Heavenly Eye Users’ areas do they use their recognized method to forcibly conquer the settlements by strength.
According to the Tianyan Beasts’ view, Zhou Tian and his group entering their Territory means an intention to occupy it, and the Tianyan Beasts will see Zhou Tian and his group as invading enemies.
Undoubtedly, if those Tianyan Beasts lacked strength, even if they had a Territory, in realizing the strength disparity with Zhou Tian’s group, they wouldn’t provoke such enemies for their survival.
Thus, even if Zhou Tian entered such a Tianyan Beast’s Territory, those Beasts wouldn’t attack Zhou Tian readily, regardless of any unwillingness they felt; they would flee to survive.
However...
Not all Tianyan Beasts lack strength. Although Zhou Tian’s aura is formidable, without engaging Zhou Tian directly, the Tianyan Beasts can’t accurately assess Zhou Tian’s group’s strength. They won’t imagine that non-Beast King Tianyan Beasts can’t be Zhou Tian’s match. (To be continued.
