Mesmerizing Ghost Doctor

Chapter 4694: Oppress

Chapter 4694: Oppress

As the man in green struggled to his feet, his face contorted with rage, he snatched a jagged shard of broken glass from the ground and hurled it viciously at the three children. His movements were surprisingly swift, far faster than an ordinary person could react.

The shopkeeper, witnessing the man’s violent action, gasped and involuntarily took a step forward, intending to intervene. However, before he could move further, he saw the older boy swiftly pull his younger brother and sister out of the general store, narrowly avoiding the dangerous projectile.

“Damn kids! You’re asking for death!” The man in green roared, his anger escalating. He lunged after them, swinging a heavy fist directly at Hao’er.

“Stand aside!” Hao’er commanded, pushing Muchen and Yue’er behind him for safety. He stepped forward to confront the enraged man. As he focused his inner energy, the powerful aura of his peak Golden Core cultivation erupted around him, a tangible wave of spiritual pressure.

“Hiss! Such a small child is actually a peak Golden Core Cultivator? It seems this child must be from a noble family or a major sect, right?” A surprised voice murmured from the growing crowd of onlookers.

“Isn’t that man wearing the green robe of an inner disciple of the Heaven’s Sun Sect? He certainly looks like one. Why is he picking a fight with a child?” Another voice questioned, filled with disapproval.

“This child is also incredibly bold, daring to confront an inner disciple of the Heaven’s Sun Sect. He’s definitely not ordinary!” A third voice chimed in with intrigue.

“In my opinion,” an old man with a long white beard mused, stroking it thoughtfully, “this young boy might be a direct disciple of a major power. Look at him, already at the peak of the Golden Core stage at such a tender age. And there’s clearly a concealment spell on him, making his features difficult to discern. An inner disciple of the Heaven’s Sun Sect fighting him, haha, who knows who will prevail!” The old man’s eyes gleamed with intense interest as he watched the unfolding confrontation. The more he observed the young boy’s remarkably steady stance, his peculiar yet skillful footwork and movements, the more convinced he became that the child’s background was anything but ordinary.

His gaze then shifted to the two younger children standing nearby. They, too, were clearly under the effects of a similar concealment spell, and surprisingly, even with his considerable spiritual strength, he was unable to penetrate the illusion.

The old man refocused his attention on the two combatants. Seeing that the man in green was unable to gain any advantage with his bare hands against the surprisingly adept child, he finally drew his sword. The instant the cold steel flashed in the sunlight, a corresponding glint of light appeared in the little boy’s hand, and a sharp, elegant sword materialized as if from thin air.

“What a fine sword!” the old man exclaimed softly, his eyes shining with appreciation as he beheld the weapon in the boy’s grasp. The sword radiated a palpable aura of cold power, and its sword qi was fierce and intimidating. It was clear at a glance that it was no ordinary weapon, but a rare treasure.

Especially as the boy gripped the hilt, his entire aura seemed to transform, becoming incredibly sharp and dangerous. With a swift twist of his wrist, a dazzling sword flower bloomed outward, and his small figure darted forward with astonishing speed, a blur too fast for the eye to easily follow, directly charging towards the stunned man in green.

The man in green, perhaps arrogant in his status as an inner disciple and underestimating the skill of a mere child, clearly hadn’t anticipated that the boy’s swordsmanship would be far superior to his own. He had likely assumed that, as someone with the same peak Golden Core cultivation, he would easily suppress this “little brat,” even if he had to draw his own weapon. He was sorely mistaken.

Panic flickered in his eyes as he instinctively retreated, raising his own sword to block the incoming attack. The moment the two swords collided, a violent surge of sword qi erupted, rushing directly towards his face.

“Arghhh!” he cried out in pain as the tip of the boy’s sword grazed his wrist, causing him to flinch violently. His own sword clattered to the ground, and he was forced to stumble backward, landing heavily on his buttocks as the sharp point of the boy’s sword pressed menacingly against his forehead.

“No, don’t kill me! I’m a disciple of the Heaven’s Sun Sect! If you kill me, you’ll become an enemy of the entire Heaven’s Sun Sect!” He shrieked in terror, desperately invoking the name of his powerful sect in a pathetic attempt to intimidate his young assailant.

Hao’er looked down at him coldly, the tip of his sword unwavering against the man’s throat, and asked, his voice devoid of emotion, “You want to live?”
