Chapter 2674 - 2648: A Display of Strength

"Where are we going? Back to the party, or straight home?"

"You just came back from the party, and you want to eat again?"

"Are you full yet?"

Joseph replied listlessly, "Whatever, the mess kind of killed my appetite."

Just then, Gao Yang’s phone rang. He gestured to keep quiet before answering it, hearing Murphy’s very demoralized voice saying, "I thought it over seriously, and I realized you wouldn’t just give up like that. Before you make things even worse, I’ll help you this time. Listen, man, neither janitors nor the FBI exist to make hitting on women easier for you; keep that in mind, and don’t ever contact me for this kind of crap again."

Gao Yang said urgently, "I promise, man, but you have to help this time!"

Murphy took a deep breath and grudgingly said, "You’d better keep this incident to yourself. If the board finds out I helped you with this, F**k! Listen, never mention this to anyone."

"I promise not to mention it."

"Katy Perry’s car is in the 35th district. Head over there and tell me your location, so I can arrange for the interception. That’s all I can do; after her car is intercepted, whatever happens is none of my business, and I won’t get involved. Understand?"

"Got it, got it. Thank you so much, brother. How do you plan to intercept her? On what grounds?"

Murphy didn’t answer Gao Yang’s question and continued, "One more thing, when you meet Katy Perry, could you get me her autograph, is that okay?"

"No problem!"

"Now tell me your location, keep the call connected, and I’ll arrange the interception at the right time."

Gao Yang covered the phone with his hand, exuberantly saying, "Haha, someone’s willing to help! Joseph, drive forward; the target’s in the 35th district. Drive forward."

Gao Yang stayed on the phone with Murphy, guiding him as they pursued, and after just a few minutes, Joseph had already caught up to the target. At this point, there was no need to continue the call.

"I see the target car!"

Murphy was silent for a while, then suddenly said over the phone, "Interception is arranged at the next intersection, act accordingly."

Murphy hung up the phone; Gao Yang nervously said, "Murphy is arranging the interception."

Bob grew more anxious, asking shakily, "How’s he going to intercept?"

"Don’t know, maybe under the pretense of an FBI check? Not sure, we’ll know soon, red light, they’ve stopped!"

Joseph slowed down until he stopped, leaving four to five vehicles between them and the target car; Gao Yang leaned forward and whispered, "Said it would be intercepted at this spot, why’s nothing happening? What a good chance."

After a moment, the red light turned green, and Katy Perry’s car started moving. Joseph could only follow in pursuit, with Gao Yang whispering, "What’s going on? Did something go wrong?"

Just then, even though they were in a car with excellent soundproofing, Gao Yang heard a piercing screech of brakes, and then saw a sedan turn the corner and crash directly into Katy Perry’s car, hitting the headlight area with a thud.

The two cars collided and came to a standstill in the middle of the road, with Bob shouting, "Whoa! It’s a crash stop!"

Gao Yang was a bit dumbfounded, shouting, "How do you hit on someone in this situation?"

Neither car moved, and Joseph continued driving as he shouted, "We can’t stop here, I’ll park ahead and you guys go say hi, and don’t let her see me."

The car that deliberately crashed into Katy Perry’s vehicle did not move. Joseph drove past the two cars and parked at an intersection. Then Gao Yang and Bob got out of the car, quickly running back.

A female bodyguard got out, with her right hand on her waist and her left pointing at the driver of the car that hit them, shouting something before striding to the driver’s door and pulling a woman out of the car.

The car that had purposely hit Katy Perry’s vehicle accelerated backwards, hit a stopped car, then changed directions and sped away with a roar.

The primary duty of a bodyguard is to protect the safety of the client, ignoring everything else, so despite the traffic accident, the female bodyguard would never abandon the person she was protecting to deal with a traffic incident.

When Gao Yang and Bob ran up, the female bodyguard had just pulled Katy Perry out of the car, and at this moment, Gao Yang shouted, "Are you alright?"

Bob also shouted, "Are you okay? I got the license plate number, oh, it’s you?"
