"I know the risk," Song Heping interrupted him: "But what I'm betting on is not military advantage, it's political leverage."

Samir hesitated to speak.

He knew the chips he currently had — over a hundred US Army personnel, and some government agents.

And then there are those sensitive documents in Song Heping's hands.

He didn't know if these chips could work.

But can these really stop an airstrike?

Once it fails, the US Army will launch a frantic bombing campaign, and by then, his own Tenth Division, along with the Kurd force sent by Abu You, will suffer heavy losses, not to mention being forced to become "enemies" of Illiguo and the Kurdish Autonomous Government.

Mosul airspace periphery.

The radio relayed a report: "120 kilometers from target, speed unchanged, altitude descending to 20,000 feet."

"Entering target radius of 120 miles," Larson reported: "Detected increase in target radar signal strength, Dao'er system switching to continuous scan mode."

"Begin jamming," Mike commanded.

"Ghost 01, commence standard jamming protocol."

Larson first activated the noise jamming mode of the ALQ-99 tactical jamming pod.

The traveling wave tube amplifier inside the pod generated powerful electromagnetic noise, transmitting jamming signals aimed at both the C and Ku bands.

On the screen, the signal strength bar representing the Dao'er system radar started fluctuating dramatically.

The jamming power of the ALQ-99 reached kilowatt levels, enough to create noise at the radar receiver input that is dozens of times stronger than the true echo.

"First round of noise jamming has been deployed, evaluating effect—"

Larson switched to ALQ-218 receiver monitoring mode.

The screen showed that the Dao'er radar's pulse signals start becoming irregular, but still persistent.

"Target radar attempting frequency hopping as countermeasure, but system predicted. Initiate precision targeting jamming."

The intelligence of the ALQ-99 system lies in its ability to analyze radar signal characteristics, then transmit deceptive signals in sync but of opposite phase with radar pulses.

This "coherent jamming" will cause the radar processing system to produce incorrect target distance and speed information.

On the ground, Lieutenant Amir's radar screen suddenly became a snowy mess.

"Jamming! Strong electromagnetic jamming!" shouted Jassim.

The target blips on the screen split into a dozen false signals, some maneuvering at high speed, others suddenly disappearing and reappearing.

The radar's automatic tracking system tried to lock onto one, but each time it nearly succeeded, the target "jumped" to another location.

"Switch to backup frequency!" ordered Amir.

The operator quickly adjusted, but the new frequency was almost immediately subjected to the same jamming.

The US Army's ALQ-99 system can detect frequency changes and realign within 0.1 seconds.

"It's no use, all bands are covered!" Jassim said in despair: "System can't establish stable tracking!"

Two kilometers away, the Pantsir-S1 system faced a more complex attack.

"Ghost 01 detected change in radar signal characteristics of second high-value target, Pantsir system switched to tracking mode, attempting to lock onto my aircraft!"

Larson's voice was filled with disdain.

After all, this outdated Soviet-style equipment seemed trivial in their eyes.

"Initiate targeted deceptive jamming."

The ALQ-99 system generated a "false target echo chain" specific to Pantsir radar's unique waveform.

On the Pantsir operator's screen, the originally singular target suddenly split into four, flying in formation, each with seemingly real Doppler speed information.

"Damn, which one is real?"

On the ground, the Pantsir operator cursed.

The system suggested simultaneous attacks on four targets, but he knew at least three were fake.

In the command vehicle, the commander attempted to switch to optical tracking mode, but at this point the US Army jets were still 40 kilometers away, beyond the effective identification range of the thermal imaging system.

"Cannot lock! Repeat, cannot lock!"
