Chapter 751 Negotiations

  • Next Chapter

In Kristina’s mind, Ye Xiu was merely a Sixth Realm War God, and a Pseudo Sixth Realm at that. With Tu La’s Invincible Seventh Realm strength, crushing Ye Xiu would be all too easy. At that moment, she looked at Ye Xiu as if she were staring at a dead man.

However, Tu La did not make a move. He sized up Ye Xiu with surprise and asked, "You’re Ye Xiu? What are you doing here?"

Honestly, when I first saw him, I thought he was Huang Quan with his mask off. For someone as powerful as Huang Quan to be so young... what a shock. But it turns out this is just Ye Xiu!

"This is Ye Xiu’s home on Biluo Island. Dad, haven’t you been here before? Ye Xiu’s first wife, Qin Qing, and second wife, Leng Yue, live here," Kristina explained.

"That’s not what I meant." Tu La gestured for Kristina to be quiet, then turned back to Ye Xiu. "Huang Quan told me to come here to negotiate. Where is he?"

Ye Xiu sipped his tea, his expression impassive. "Huang Quan has entrusted me with full authority to handle the negotiations."

Tu La was taken aback for a moment, then burst out laughing. "Well then, this should be easy!"

As he spoke, he took the backpack from Cha Muxue, pulled out two contracts and a pen, and tossed them to Ye Xiu. "Just sign the contract, and we’ll consider this negotiation complete."

Ye Xiu scoffed. "How much did you drink with breakfast to be talking this much nonsense?"

"I haven’t been drinking!" Tu La retorted, looking down on him.

"If you haven’t been drinking, then why are you spouting such drunken garbage?" Ye Xiu snorted. "The negotiation hasn’t even started, yet you’ve already prepared a contract and are demanding I sign it. You must have been drinking some bad liquor."

Now Tu La understood. Ye Xiu was mocking him and refusing to sign the contract.

He immediately said in a cold voice, "Ye Xiu, you need to recognize the situation you’re in. You’re all alone here. If you don’t cooperate, I can use force to make you!"

Although Kristina still didn’t understand what this talk of negotiations and contracts was all about, she followed her father’s lead. "Ye Xiu, I bet you don’t know how strong my father and Cha Muxue are, do you? Let me tell you, my father is Invincible in the Seventh Realm, and Cha Muxue is nearly there herself. You’re just a mere Sixth Realm, a Pseudo one at that. How can you possibly stand against them?"

The Third Prince, Lin Chuan, added impatiently, "Ye Xiu, either sign the contract or die. There’s no third option."

Cha Muxue said nothing, but she drew her sword.

Clearly, the four of them intended to use force to make Ye Xiu sign the contract and end the negotiation quickly. In fact, if he hadn’t witnessed Huang Quan’s might, Tu La wouldn’t have even bothered with a contract. He would have simply taken Kristina and kidnapped Ye Xiu on the spot.

Ye Xiu sighed while pouring tea. "I’ve seen plenty of fools, but a group of complete morons like you is a first. I suggest you donate your brains to someone who might actually use them. They’re clearly wasted on you."

Tu La, Kristina, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue looked at each other, completely baffled. They didn’t understand what he was saying, but they could tell he was insulting them.

"What do you mean by that?" Tu La asked. "Do you really think you alone can defeat me and Cha Muxue?"

Ye Xiu didn’t respond, simply lifting his teacup for another sip.

"Who said Ye Xiu is alone?"

Just then, Qin Qing walked into the courtyard. "Take a look at the villa’s roof and the courtyard walls."

The four of them immediately scanned their surroundings. They were stunned to see twenty people standing on the villa’s roof and the courtyard walls, who had appeared there without anyone noticing.

"Let me introduce you," Ye Xiu said, setting down his teacup with a sneer. "These twenty seniors are all Seventh Realm War Gods."

These twenty people were precisely the Seventh Realm War Gods from the ’Alliance That Owes Ye Xiu 2,500 Lives’, including the four he had poached from the Xuan Ming Sect.

"This..."

The expressions on Tu La, Kristina, Lin Chuan, and Cha Muxue turned grim, and a wave of tension filled the air. This was especially true for Tu La and Cha Muxue. In their prime, they wouldn’t have given these twenty Seventh Realm War Gods a second thought. But now, their Totems had been crippled by Huang Quan, and Cha Muxue was also injured. They were no match for twenty Seventh Realm War Gods.

"Take a seat," Ye Xiu said, placing a fresh teacup on the opposite side of the table and pouring tea into it. "Since this is a negotiation, we should at least look the part."

Tu La was seething, breathing heavily, but he had no other choice and sat down opposite Ye Xiu. He picked up the teacup, drained it in one gulp, and asked, "Tell me, what will it take for Huang Quan to release Kristina?"

Ye Xiu poured another cup for Tu La, smiling faintly. "As I said, Huang Quan entrusted me to handle all negotiations. That means I set the terms."

Tu La picked up the teacup and drained it again, clanking it back down on the table. "Then just say it!" he demanded irritably. "What will it take for you to release Kristina?"

"Answer a few of my questions," Ye Xiu said.

Tu La was taken aback. "It’s that simple?"

Lin Chuan, Cha Muxue, and Kristina, who had finally caught on, all wore skeptical expressions. They clearly didn’t believe that Ye Xiu would release her just for answering a few questions.

"I have no reason to deceive you," Ye Xiu stated.

Tu La stared at Ye Xiu for a few seconds before nodding. "Fine, I’ll trust you. Ask away."

"First question." Ye Xiu raised a finger. "Where is Ming Yue?"

Without waiting for a response, he added a warning, "Of the questions I ask, if you fail to answer a single one, or if you give a wrong answer, I will terminate the negotiation."

Heh. Since these are questions, you don’t know the answers. How would you know if I’m bluffing?

"My wife sent Ming Yue to the forbidden grounds of the Golden Family for her Cultivation!" Tu La said aloud.

This answer was a pure fabrication to mislead Ye Xiu. In reality, Ming Yue had been sent to Demon Island.

Ye Xiu didn’t care whether Tu La’s answer was true or false; he just wanted to confirm that Ming Yue was still alive. He then asked his second question. "Where are the three Judicator Families located?"

"One hundred kilometers north of King Island in the Eternal Islands," Tu La blurted out. It was another blatant lie.

Ye Xiu had guessed that Tu La wouldn’t tell the truth. Even if he tortured Tu La and Kristina half to death and used every method at his disposal, Tu La would never disclose the location of the three Judicator Families.

"For the first two questions, I’ll accept that you’ve given me answers," Ye Xiu said. "Right or wrong, I’ll let it slide. But for the questions that follow, if you dare to lie to me again, I will chop Kristina into pieces right in front of you."

Tu La was shocked. He actually knew my answers were wrong? This man is truly worthy of being the Dragon God Totem Inheritor. So young, yet so incredibly shrewd.

He said, "Ask away!"

"Twenty-six years ago, the three Judicator Families sent Yue Jinchuan to Xuanse Yunluo City," Ye Xiu began, his eyes as sharp as a hawk’s and locked onto Tu La. "What was it that he injected into my body right after I was born?"
