Chapter 668 - 254: Returning to the Toy Pool, Who Is 099?

In fact, a few years ago, 022’s skills were far less ruthless and decisive than they are now. At that time, he wanted to kill beasts like leopards, which was as difficult as reaching the sky.

Back then, he often starved so much that hunger burned his intestines, forcing him to fight with others for a bite of food till his head was split and bleeding.

The monthly slaughter was just a carnival for the players; in reality, the Combat Dolls lived through escape and killing every day.

Every three or four days, nutrients would drop from the sky, and at that time, the survivor’s Combat Dolls would stand on the lake shore waiting for the nutrient to fall into the lake, and then swim into the lake in unison, trying to grab more nutrients.

During a fight for nutrients with a woman, 022 had his leg brutally broken by the opponent.

In the end, he found nothing.

As he dragged his injured leg looking for a place to hide, he saw the powerful 003 by a patch of low weeds.

was assaulting someone.

It was a newcomer, numbered 099, who had just been sent to the Toy Pool and was rumored to be incredibly handsome, driving the Combat Dolls crazy.

Apparently, 003 was also a fan of 099.

But 099 was also a tough character. Like a madman, he managed to bite off one of 003’s ears.

Injured, 003’s anger suppressed his desire, and he got up furiously, unleashing his strength uncontrollably, brutally punching and kicking 099.

Then he threw the dying 099 into the forest lake, only leaving after seeing 099’s body stop struggling.

hiding behind the tree, witnessed the entire process. Only after 003 truly left, did he quietly fish 099 out.

He wanted to see if 099 was really as good-looking as the Combat Dolls said.

had thought 099 was already dead, but surprisingly, the other spat out a mouthful of water, coming back to life.

gazed at the young man’s beautiful face, untouched by 003, finally understanding why he became the brightest one in the Toy Pool.

The two lived together for a period; 099 considered him a friend. Three days after being rescued, he proactively hunted small beasts to feed 022.

Under his careful care, 022’s leg showed signs of healing.

Soon it was time for the monthly slaughter, which was 099’s first survival game. By then, they hadn’t eaten for three days.

was foolish then, not understanding the language nor the mechanical voice.

But 099 had a natural sensing power for danger. After the mechanical voice’s countdown ended, announcing the start of the game, he ran with 022 on his back.

He hid 022 in a secret thicket, thinking they could survive till morning. What he didn’t know was their every move was under the ’players’ surveillance.

If they didn’t show up all night, weren’t killed nor killed anyone, they’d be destroyed by Hell Palace.

Destruction meant being killed, shredded, and fed to beasts.

didn’t want to be destroyed.

So, he decided to kill 099, fill his belly, and then hunt other Combat Dolls to accumulate points.

But he didn’t expect that when he locked 099’s neck, the other was surprised for just a few seconds before an astonishing power burst from his body.

fiercely lifted his left leg, using all his strength to kick 022’s not fully recovered right leg.

Despite the intense pain, 022 didn’t let go of 099, knowing the chance was one-off, he couldn’t let 099 go.

also knew the chance for survival was one-off. He tried his best to break free his right hand, extending his index and middle fingers into 022’s nostrils, forcibly tearing his nose off his face.

finally let go of 099.

After that, he never saw 099 again until two years later.

had killed 003.

When this news came out, 022 didn’t dare close his eyes for days; closing his eyes brought visions of 099 pressing his neck demanding his life.

But he was lucky. Under careful hiding, he never encountered 099 again.

Later, he heard other Combat Dolls gossiping that 099 became good brothers with 002, inseparable, invincible.

Just when 022 thought 099 and 002 might become kings and leave the Toy Pool, he heard 099 was missing.

Some said 099 was dead, others said he had left.

After 099 left, 002, his best ally, lost his optimal partner, reverting to fighting solo. Later, 002 also disappeared...
