Marvel: I Am The Lord of the Shadow Dimension

Chương 108: Chapter 108: The Eruption of the Thunder God

"My apologies! I genuinely, completely forgot I left you in there! You know how it is, the Asgardian cuisine is simply too distracting," Luke apologized, offering a highly unconvincing, incredibly fake smile.

He signaled the Nightbats to securely bind the few surviving Dark Elves with enchanted ropes while he casually tossed one of their confiscated Black Hole Grenades up and down like a baseball.

The Dark Elves had actually attempted to pull the pins on their grenades to initiate a suicide bombing when Luke broke their stealth. Hilariously, before they could even grip the pins, the Razorclaws had effortlessly pinned their hands to the hull of the crashed ship with precisely thrown shurikens.

However, what truly confused Luke was Fat Thor's reaction—or rather, the complete lack thereof. Luke had fully expected Thor to absolutely lose his mind with rage upon seeing the Dark Elves, the very creatures responsible for his mother's death.

Luke glanced at Fat Thor, who was currently sitting on a log, completely ignoring the Dark Elves. His head was buried in a massive bucket of roasted meat, his jaws working frantically.

Hiss... did I actually starve him that badly?

However, looking closely at Fat Thor's physique, Luke noticed that his incredibly bloated stomach had actually significantly receded! The 'High-Frequency Concussive Fat-Loss Therapy' was actually incredibly effective! Maybe I should prescribe him two more courses of treatment just to be safe?

However, seeing the sheer, desperate hunger in Fat Thor's eyes, Luke decided to hold off. He didn't want to accidentally cause 'Divine Organ Failure.'

Luke casually pulled a massive, perfectly roasted leg of mutton from the 'groceries' he had just stored in his dimension and handed it to Thor. Thor snatched it and took a massive, absolutely vicious bite. Watching the sheer aggression in Thor's bite, Luke involuntarily rubbed his own leg, feeling a phantom pain.

Seeing Thor eating so quickly he was nearly choking, Luke snapped his fingers. A Shadow Ninja materialized, hauling a massive, heavy oak barrel filled with premium Asgardian mead directly from the Royal Cellars, and placed it next to Thor.

Fat Thor's face was completely smeared with grease. Seeing the barrel of mead, he unceremoniously tossed the half-eaten mutton bone aside, grabbed the massive barrel with both hands, and began chugging the alcohol directly down his throat.

"AH! THAT HITS THE SPOT!" Fat Thor violently threw the empty barrel aside, letting out a thunderous, earth-shaking burp, finally feeling somewhat human again.

Seeing Thor had recovered some of his sanity, Luke slowly approached. "So, how do you feel? You look like you've actually slimmed down quite a bit! My patented therapy is highly effective, isn't it?"

Luke grinned brightly at Fat Thor.

Thor simply stared back at him, his face completely devoid of expression.

Luke offered an awkward, sheepish laugh. "Hey, come on now. It was just a minor misunderstanding! So what if I accidentally locked you in a pocket dimension for forty-eight hours without food or water while you were relentlessly beaten by shadowy monstrosities?"

Speaking of his Shadowkhan, Luke knew perfectly well how his constructs operated. With infinite stamina, instant respawns, and his explicit command to 'massage' the god, he could guarantee that Thor had been subjected to absolute, relentless, non-stop physical trauma every single microsecond of those forty-eight hours.

Fat Thor stared at Luke, watching him still daring to smile. He clenched his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white... but ultimately, he let his hands drop.

It wasn't that he was being a coward. It was simply the brutal realization that this 'Uncle' was genuinely, overwhelmingly powerful.

Just observing Luke's subordinates had given the God of Thunder a massive headache.

When Thor had finally realized that his 'Uncle' had completely forgotten about him and wasn't coming back, he had fully unleashed his awakened divine power. Fighting like a madman, he had eventually managed to completely eradicate the thousands of Shadow Ninjas swarming him.

However, to his absolute despair, the defeated ninjas simply dissolved into shadows, drifted around the Mirror Dimension for roughly thirty minutes, and then rapidly reformed, instantly resuming their relentless assault!

No matter what apocalyptic lightning attacks Thor unleashed, he simply could not permanently destroy these creatures. They always returned after a fixed cooldown period, their unwavering dedication to beating him completely unphased.

No matter how much he yelled, reasoned, or threatened them, their attacks never slowed down by a single fraction of a second. It seemed that in their eyes, Luke was their absolute, unquestionable God!

If I had an army this incredibly powerful and absolutely loyal... I could absolutely alter the tragic future of Asgard!

Fat Thor's eyes suddenly burned with a desperate, intense, highly zealous light.

Being the target of such an intense, burning gaze made Luke feel incredibly uncomfortable.

(Loki: Now you understand how I feel?)

Feeling Thor's desperate gaze practically burning a hole through his skull, Luke quickly decided to provide a distraction. He glanced at the securely bound Dark Elf soldiers nearby and his eyes lit up.

"Hey, Thor! I have the perfect opportunity for you to test your newly honed combat capabilities!" Luke enthusiastically pointed.

"What?" Fat Thor looked at his 'Uncle' suspiciously, wondering what devious, sadistic trick he was planning now.

What bad intentions could I possibly have? Luke thought innocently.

Pointing directly at the captive Dark Elves, Luke said, "Look over there. I think those guys would be excellent target practice to gauge your current power level."

Thor dismissively glanced over, finally actually looking at the captives who had been desperately trying to erase their own presence.

His pupils violently constricted.

"Is it... is it currently this point in the timeline?!" Thor's breathing suddenly became incredibly heavy and ragged.

"WE HAVE TO GO SAVE MY MOTHER! NOW!" Thor roared desperately, spinning back toward Luke with sheer panic in his eyes.

Luke blinked, slightly taken aback.

Suddenly, a calm, authoritative voice echoed from the sky above. "Why exactly do I need saving?"

Both men looked up. A sleek, highly advanced Asgardian royal skiff was rapidly descending toward the clearing. Odin, Frigga, and a squad of elite Royal Guards were standing on the deck.

The moment the skiff touched the ground, before Frigga could even fully step off the ramp, Thor sprinted forward and engulfed her in a massive, desperate, bone-crushing hug.

The instant Frigga touched Thor, her profound magical empathy slammed into the sheer, overwhelming wall of absolute terror and panic screaming within his mind.

Frigga paused for a fraction of a second, her expression softening into profound sorrow. She gently, rhythmically stroked the back of Thor's head.

"Calm down, my son. We are not nearly as fragile as you fear."

"I know... I know, but..." Thor's voice trembled violently, completely devoid of his usual bravado.

"I just... I absolutely refuse to lose you all a second time."

Standing nearby, Luke remained completely silent. He knew exactly what horrors Thor had endured in the original timeline.

During the events of The Dark World, Thor had been forced to watch helplessly as Malekith murdered his mother. During Ragnarok, he had watched Odin fade away into energy right in front of him, followed immediately by his psychotic sister, Hela, effortlessly shattering Mjolnir and carving out his eye. To defeat Hela, he had been forced to authorize the apocalyptic destruction of Asgard, fleeing into space with a mere handful of refugees.

And then, during the opening of Infinity War, Thanos had intercepted their refugee ship. Thor had been forced to watch, paralyzed and bound, as Thanos choked the life out of Loki, while the corpses of his remaining people drifted aimlessly in the freezing void.

Finally, after succumbing to overwhelming despair, he learned that assembling the six Infinity Stones could reverse the Snap and bring everyone back. He had clung to that minuscule, desperate shred of hope... only to face an even deeper, more crushing abyss of absolute despair.

Thanos had used the Stones to destroy the Stones.

Even after Thor had ultimately decapitated Thanos in a fit of rage, the victory felt entirely hollow. He had spiraled into a profound, paralyzing state of absolute self-loathing and depression.

Yes, throughout his journey, his personal power had grown exponentially. But the cost had been far too absolute.

He had lost literally everything!

And the most agonizing, soul-crushing part was that nearly every single tragedy had occurred directly in front of him, and he felt entirely responsible for his failure to prevent them!

The clearing fell into a heavy, somber silence. Odin briefly glanced at the bound Dark Elf captives before walking over to stand beside Luke.

"Once the banquet concludes tomorrow, I shall personally instruct Heimdall to utilize the Bifrost to completely annihilate Muspelheim. Following that, I shall lead a fleet into the cosmos to locate and permanently eradicate Thanos," Odin stated quietly, but with absolute, chilling conviction, speaking directly to Luke.

While listening to Rocket's story, Odin had learned exactly what horrors awaited Thor. The profound sorrow and paternal love in his single eye had solidified his absolute, unbreakable resolve to preemptively eliminate every single future threat to Asgard.

Prophecy? Fate?

A future devoid of his family was a future Odin absolutely refused to accept! Since the ordained future was a tragedy, he would simply violently forge a better one with his own two hands!

Luke looked at the grim determination in Odin's eye and nodded. "Once I finish sorting out the administrative nonsense regarding Earth, I'll go have a chat with Hela. If I can't convince her to abandon her psychotic galactic conquest ambitions, I'll just forcefully banish her to an isolated alternate dimension. How does that sound?"

Odin remained silent for a long moment, staring out at the ancient forest. Finally, he spoke, his voice incredibly soft.

"Thank you."

"Don't mention it. We're sworn brothers, aren't we?" Luke casually patted Odin's armored shoulder.

Odin turned his head and stared at Luke for a moment. For thousands of years, absolutely no one had dared to treat the All-Father so casually. But strangely... it felt rather nice.

Meanwhile, Thor had finally managed to calm his racing heart. He took a deep, shuddering breath, released Frigga, and turned his gaze toward the bound Dark Elves.

"Father. Mother. Uncle," Thor addressed them formally, his voice practically vibrating with raw, unadulterated killing intent as he stared at the captives. "I formally request that you hand these Dark Elves over to me for execution."

"If doing so will help ease the crushing burden you carry, then they are yours," Frigga said softly, stepping back. "But you must remember, my son: you bear absolutely no sin for the tragedies of your timeline. You merely did what you believed was necessary and right in the heat of the moment."

Luke nodded in agreement. "They're all yours. If you want, I can also quickly shove the younger, arrogant version of yourself into the Mirror Dimension so you can 'borrow' Mjolnir again."

"I shall simply command Eitri to forge a new weapon for you immediately. I will relay the order to Nidavellir tonight," Odin interjected firmly.

"Thank you," Thor turned and nodded deeply to his family, profoundly grateful for their unwavering support.

He slowly walked toward the trembling Dark Elves. A blinding, terrifying aura of divine energy—far more intense and focused than ever before—violently erupted from his body! Massive, thick arcs of raw, crackling lightning danced around him like enraged, ethereal serpents!

"I AM THOR, THE GOD OF THUNDER!"

Thor unleashed a deafening, sky-shattering roar!

Instantly, dense, pitch-black storm clouds violently condensed in the clear sky above the forest! A terrifying, impossibly thick bolt of apocalyptic lightning violently struck down from the heavens!

As the lightning crashed down, Thor casually raised his right hand. The apocalyptic energy instantly became completely docile, perfectly condensing in his palm to form a blindingly bright, hyper-dense javelin of pure, solid lightning!

Thor violently hurled the lightning javelin forward!

KABOOM!

A deafening thunderclap echoed across the continent! The unstoppable, apocalyptic lightning instantly engulfed the Dark Elves, completely vaporizing them at the molecular level, leaving absolutely nothing but a faint wisp of ozone and fine ash!

Luke raised an eyebrow and quickly snapped a few photos with his smartphone.

"That was incredibly flashy. But seriously, did you really need to use your ultimate attack just to vaporize a few low-level grunts?"

Thor, who had finally felt a profound sense of cathartic release and closure, instantly felt a massive vein throb in his forehead upon hearing Luke's casual mockery.

He sighed heavily. This Uncle... I've accepted him as family, but he is incredibly annoying. And I can't even punch him because he would absolutely destroy me!

Thor turned back to his parents, shaking his head in exasperation, only to see Odin staring at him with a deeply significant, intense gaze.

"It seems you have definitively decided to preemptively clear all future obstacles for the Asgard of this timeline, haven't you?" Thor asked, sensing the grim resolve in his father's aura.

Odin nodded slowly. "Indeed."

Seeing the deep concern lingering in Thor's eyes, Odin smiled warmly. Suddenly, a terrifying, overwhelming wave of absolute, cosmic divine power—vastly superior to Thor's lightning—slowly radiated from the All-Father.

"Do not worry, my son. These old bones are more than capable of effortlessly crushing a warlord like Thanos."

Thor was genuinely stunned by the sheer, unfathomable depth of Odin's true power, but he quickly calmed down. Of course. Only with power this absolute and overwhelming could he have effortlessly subjugated and sealed away my terrifyingly powerful sister, Hela.

Odin noticed Thor's stunned expression. "Why the surprise? Did the 'me' from your timeline never fully unleash this power during the final crisis?"

Because Rocket Raccoon hadn't actually been present during the destruction of Asgard, his recounting of events had been relatively broad and lacking in specific details regarding Odin's final moments. Therefore, Odin was genuinely curious.

Thor shook his head sadly. "I believe Father absolutely possessed the capability to unleash his full power at the very end... but he was isolated on Earth at the time. There were no enemies present for him to fight, so I never truly witnessed the full extent of his capabilities."

As for exactly why Odin was isolated on Earth?

Remembering that Loki had stripped Odin of his powers and dumped him in a mundane Earth retirement home, Thor wisely decided to keep that specific detail to himself. He didn't want the current, loyal version of Loki to get completely obliterated by Odin for a crime he hadn't committed yet.

Odin nodded thoughtfully. He didn't press for details regarding why he was on Earth; he easily sensed Thor's hesitation and respected his silence.

While Odin and Thor continued to meticulously compare timelines to ensure they didn't miss any future threats during their impending cosmic purge, Luke wandered over to Frigga to chat about more pleasant topics.

Meanwhile, in the cold void high above Asgard...

Realizing that his fully cloaked, state-of-the-art reconnaissance vessel had completely severed all telemetry and communication links, Malekith slammed his fist furiously against the command console of his flagship!

He had now completely lost all intelligence-gathering capabilities regarding the internal situation in Asgard. Staring at the massive, golden realm floating tantalizingly close, an incredibly reckless, absolute psychotic idea began to form in his mind.

Since he had no idea where the mysterious new Prince was currently located, he would simply create an event massive enough to force the Prince to reveal himself!

He no longer cared about the potential casualties among his own forces! As long as he successfully secured the Aether, he would be absolutely, unequivocally invincible!

"Summon all elite strike commanders to the bridge! I have formulated a new, highly aggressive assault plan!"
