Chapter 669: Chapter 353: Seventh Realm Retainers (Part 2)
He glanced at the two Divine Swords, tossed the slightly less powerful one to Xing Man, and then threw over the Rainbow Bracelet.
“Follow me to the Sword Tomb.”
“Yes.”
“…”
…
As Chu Ming entered the Imperial City to deal with Xing Man, three figures in black robes crept to the entrance of the Seven-Star Sword Tomb.
Under the black robes, hidden was the Shadow Tower emblem with a pattern of an Evil Ghost.
The three stared at the entrance shrouded in star mist, all with grim expressions.
“Sentry Shadow, Ghost Demon, this mission is rare, grasp it well,” said the leader in a low voice.
“I fought for a long time with those old guys to secure it for you.”
“Thank you, big brother,” the two replied, their eyes flickering.
“Hmm, the Han Family and Xing Family conflict in the Seven-Star Kingdom caused the deaths of three six-star assassins from our Shadow Tower. If this matter isn’t resolved, our Shadow Tower will lose its credibility.”
Previously, a conflict erupted between the Han Family and Xing Family. The Han Family’s prodigy, Han Chen, hired Shadow Tower assassins to kill the Xing Family’s prodigy, but in the end, the three assassins were killed by Xing Man.
All three six-star assassins were at the Sea of Qi Realm, and Shadow Tower consumed countless resources to train them, so naturally, they wouldn’t silently endure.
Therefore, to avenge the Seven-Star Kingdom, Shadow Tower sent the three of them here, three powerful warriors of the Seventh Realm, the leader known as Dark Walker had even reached the Middle Stage of Returning to the Origin Realm.
“You’ve been given the Sword Talisman for the Sword Tomb. After entering, ignore the outskirts, head straight to conquer the Seven Great Sword Tombs.”
“That Han Court is very strong. According to intelligence, he seems to be hiding techniques, possibly not weaker than me. If you encounter him, escape.”
“Yes.”
“Seize the opportunity of the Seven-Star Kingdom, destroy the Sword Tomb, this is our mission this time.”
“Yes.”
“Departure.”
The three of them held the Sword Talisman and flew to the entrance shrouded in star mist.
The Sword Talisman erupted with Sword Qi, directly opening a gap in the star mist.
“Enter!”
With a low shout from Dark Walker, the three of them instantly transformed into streams of light, rushing into the Sword Tomb.
In just a few breaths, the star mist converged again, and the gap disappeared.
…
Half a day later, the entrance had long returned to tranquility.
Two figures descended.
“Master, inject Qi Blood into the Sword Talisman; it will shoot out Sword Light and open the Sword Tomb entrance.”
“Alright.”
Chu Ming held the Sword Talisman and flew above the star mist, injecting Qi Blood. Sword Light shot out, and the gap opened.
Then, the two transformed into streams of light, stepping into the entrance.
First, they flew through the mist for about half a stick of incense, passing through it, the scenery changed, and seven towering mountains appeared ahead.
“Master, those seven mountains appear to be peaks but are actually the Seven Sword Tombs,” Xing Man explained alongside.
Seven towering mountains reaching the clouds are Sword Tombs?
Chu Ming was somewhat surprised.
“Master, be careful.”
Amidst his wonder, suddenly, hundreds of Sword Qi shot from below.
Clang, clang, clang—
Xing Man had been to the Sword Tomb many times, so just as the Sword Qi shot out, he summoned the Seven-Star Divine Sword, dispersing all those Sword Qi.
“Master, there are many Sword Puppets below guarding the Sword Tombs. A single Sword Puppet’s Sword Qi can kill those in the Bone Marrow Cleansing Realm; thirty Sword Qi can threaten those in the Sea of Qi Realm; hundreds of Sword Qi, even a Late Stage Sea of Qi Realm would be severely injured.”
Chu Ming listened, feeling more curious.
“Let’s go down for a look.”
“Master…” Xing Man hesitated, “There are hundreds and thousands of Sword Puppets below. If caught in them, even I would…”
“It’s fine.”
Chu Ming wasn’t too concerned and flew straight downward.
Before landing, dozens more Sword Qi sliced toward him.
He waved his hand lazily, dispersing all the Sword Qi.
Upon landing, he indeed saw hordes of tall Sword Puppets.
They were a type of humanoid puppet, each wielding a Seven-Star Sword. Upon seeing someone descend, they didn’t pause at all and immediately unleashed hundreds of Sword Qi.
The trailing Xing Man’s heart quivered, about to wield his sword, but saw Chu Ming still calm, tapping the void, dispersing those Sword Qi like moths to a flame.
Yet those hundreds of Sword Qi were merely the opening act, followed closely by three hundred, four hundred, five hundred terrifying Sword Qi.
Five hundred Sword Qi; even Sixth Realm Perfection would likely feel their scalp tingle. Still, Chu Ming remained unfazed, summoning the Seven-Star Divine Sword.
He struck with one sword.
Divine Technique, Seven-Star Sword Technique!
Boom, boom, boom—
Five hundred Sword Qi instantly vanished into the world.
Xing Man’s brows furrowed and her heart shook.
How did the master, having only just obtained the Seven-Star Divine Sword and Seven-Star Sword Technique, manage to wield such a powerful sword attack?
That sword, Xing Man reckoned, would take her a hundred years to comprehend fully.
While she was bewildered, more Sword Puppets gathered ahead.
“Be careful.”
Xing Man heard a warning and then saw nearly a thousand Sword Qi from the Sword Puppets ahead.
A thousand Sword Qi, enough to threaten the Seventh Realm!
Xing Man’s face changed drastically, unable to care for much, the Qi Sea Vortex spun rapidly, and Qi and Blood Power surged into the Seven-Star Divine Sword in her hand.
Seven-Star Sword Technique!
As if seven stars formed a Sword Array, it fell violently.
Boom—
The Sword Qi scattered, Sword Puppets exploded, and the ground cracked.
Xing Man was stunned, staring in disbelief at the black-clad youth ahead.
The Seven-Star Sword Technique could be so formidable?
Surging waves were pounding her heart; she had never thought that her hundreds of years of comprehension of the Seven-Star Sword Technique had such power.
“Still lacking a bit…”
Yet Chu Ming shook his head slightly.
That sword was indeed strong but didn’t reach his expectations.
The main reason for descending from high above was twofold.
Firstly, he was curious about these Sword Puppets and wanted to capture a few for research.
Secondly, he intended to test the newly calculated power of the Seven-Star Sword Technique using these Sword Puppets and see if he could fuse the True Intent of Destruction and Silent Extinction into the Sword Technique.
The power of the Seven-Star Sword Technique after calculations was decent, yet he hadn’t succeeded in integrating the True Intent.
Taking a few steps, he walked to the deep pit created by his sword and bent to pick up a shattered Sword Puppet to examine.
