Chapter 6475: Audacious

“Eggy, we won’t fight them if we get discovered. We’ll run away,” Chu Feng said.

“Run?” Eggy was confused.

Chu Feng told her about the Divine Deer’s recovery.

Eggy nodded in agreement. “All right, let’s escape if the situation seems off.”

The oasis was filled with Netherworld Sectmembers. Chu Feng didn’t know if the Netherworld Sect had powerful anti-detection measures, so he didn’t attempt to use his observation means. However, he could walk around freely using the old man’s identity.

He soon found the whereabouts of the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant and obtained two pieces of news.

One, the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant had opened and could be accessed.

Two, a Netherworld Marshall was stationed at the remnant entrance, preventing anyone from entering it.

The aura Chu Feng sensed belonged to that Netherworld Marshall, who was a woman named Wuma Hanshuang.

Chu Feng thought he should at least investigate the place since he was already here, so he made his way to the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant. It resembled an ancient city on the outside, but it had an unsettling appearance.

“Why does it look like it was constructed by a demonic sect? Could this Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant be a fake?” Eggy asked.

This remnant looked different from the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s usual style.

“It may look unusual, but it carries the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s unique aura,” Chu Feng replied.

This remnant was said to be the hardest one, and activating it was bound to require some effort. There was no barrier around the remnant, and its door was wide open as well. The remnant had been activated.

While one would still have to overcome trials to obtain the remnant’s rewards, the trickiest bit had been resolved. That saved him a lot of trouble. After all, Chu Feng had heard that not even the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion had been able to activate the remnant.

Chu Feng approached the remnant while looking around.

“Are you looking to die?” an imposing, feminine voice echoed from the door.

Shoosh!

Chu Feng was pushed several meters back, and that was the other party showing mercy to him.

It was Wuma Hanshuang.

Chu Feng quickly bowed toward the door and said, “Milord, I heard the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant has been activated, so I came to take a look out of curiosity. I mean no offense.”

“This is a forbidden place. Scram,” Wuma Hanshuang said.

She didn’t show him respect just because the identity he assumed was a Netherworld General. It was doubtful whether she even viewed him as a human.

“What’s she acting so arrogantly for? I’ll head in and obliterate her!” Eggy was displeased that someone was speaking to Chu Feng in such a manner.

“It’s fine. She’s reprimanding the Netherworld Sect’s Liu Kuangkuo and not me, Chu Feng.” Unfazed, Chu Feng turned around and left.

“What you said makes sense.” Eggy’s anger subsided considerably.

“Hahaha! Old Liu, you got scolded, didn’t you? Someone of your age should conduct himself more maturely!” a voice transmission was relayed to Chu Feng.

Chu Feng soon identified the source of the voice transmission. It was from another old Netherworld General standing not too far away, with a bamboo veil concealing his face.

“Liu Kuangkuo, someone has just spoken to me. Tell me your relationship with him, or else I’ll inflict the Punishment Sword on you,” Chu Feng questioned Liu Kuangkuo before imitating the voice he had just heard.

Liu Kuangkuo quickly identified the other party’s identity through his voice.

It was a Netherworld General who went by the family name of ‘Sun’. They were at the same cultivation level and were old acquaintances.

The old Netherworld General walked up to Chu Feng and asked, “What’s wrong, Brother Liu? Why are you ignoring me? Are you unhappy at being berated by Lord Wuma?”

“No, I wouldn’t dare to show any displeasure toward Lord Wuma,” Chu Feng quickly replied.

“That’s good. What brings you here?” the old Netherworld General asked.

“I was in the vicinity for a mission, so I thought I’d drop by to take a look at the Ancestral Martial Spiritist Sect’s remnant,” Chu Feng replied via voice transmission.

“Keep your distance. Don’t even think about entering it. That remnant is important to us. Lord Wuma will not permit anyone to enter it,” the old Netherworld General said.

Chu Feng was troubled. He had observed the remnant and confirmed that it only had one entrance. There was nothing he could do if the Netherworld Sect forbade anyone from entering its premises.

He was not confident of sneaking in under Wuma Hanshuang’s watch.

Just then, Chu Feng noticed a woman strutting out from the remnant.

“Old Sun, why can that woman enter the remnant?” Chu Feng asked.

“That’s Lord Wuma’s new disciple. She’s extremely powerful despite her young age. It hasn’t been long since she joined our Netherworld Sect, but her position already far surpasses ours,” the old Netherworld General replied.

“I see.” Chu Feng nodded.

Just then, he noticed the woman looking in their direction.

“I told you to steer clear. Didn’t you hear me?” that woman said. Her voice was cold and impassive, similar to Wuma Hanshuang’s.

“We’ll leave right now!”

Intimidated, the old Netherworld General bowed deeply to the woman. Chu Feng did the same as well and was about to leave when he heard the woman’s voice once more, but this time, she spoke to him via voice transmission.

His words left him with goosebumps and chills.

“Audacious, Chu Feng. How dare you come here?”
