Chapter 6458: The Cemetery’s Disappearance

Silence settled upon the endless space.

“Hahaha!”

The man who proclaimed himself an emperor laughed. His laughter shook the surroundings. The golden lights receded, and the world reverted to its original appearance.

“You want to fight this emperor? No rush. You’ll have a chance in the future, but not now.”

A brilliant, golden light manifested and revolved on the man’s hand.

At the same time, a humongous golden whirlwind enveloped the Immemorial Cemetery, distorting the stars and space.

Chu Xuanyuan didn’t make a move, knowing the other party had chosen to retreat. Instead, he turned to Song Changsheng and said, “You should come as soon as possible. Your Nine Souls Sacred Clan is in dire straits in the Immemorial Domain of Gods.”

With that, Chu Xuanyuan’s lightning body dissipated.

In the Ninth Galaxy, Chu Xuanyuan stood in the middle of a plain-looking palace.

“Why would an entity of that caliber remain in the eight galaxies? And why are there no historical records about the Immemorial Cemetery?”

Chu Xuanyuan was concerned about the recent developments.

...

A golden whirlwind swept through every nook and cranny of the Immemorial Cemetery, transporting everyone out to its entrance. Then, the Immemorial Cemetery vanished as if it had never been there.

Even the energy sealing off the Ninth Galaxy had dissipated. Everything reverted to normal.

Chu Feng and the others were still together, though they were concealed so that outsiders couldn’t see them. Their hearts were palpitating from what happened earlier.

“Damn. Was I dreaming?” Huangfu Zhantian murmured in a daze.

But it couldn’t have been a dream, especially since Chu Feng and the others still carried the legacy imprints, though the imprints were fusing into their bodies and disappearing.

“Miaomiao, you still used that power in the end?” a voice echoed.

Song Changsheng appeared before Chu Feng and the others. He easily found them even though they were concealed.

“Elder, you...”

Chu Feng and the others were shocked to see Song Changsheng’s state. While Song Changsheng didn’t sustain any injuries, he looked to be in a terrible state.

“I’m fine,” Song Changsheng replied.

“Elder, were you behind the sudden disappearance of the Immemorial Cemetery?” Chu Feng asked.

Even though he had completed the Seven Stars Orbs and lifted the tribute formation, he didn’t think the Immemorial Cemetery had disappeared because of him. The most likely suspect was Song Changsheng.

From Song Changsheng’s current state, it was apparent he had been doing something and had paid a price for it.

“It’s not me but you.” Song Changsheng smiled at Chu Feng.

“Me?” Chu Feng was surprised. The only possibility he could think of was that the Immemorial Cemetery had disappeared because they had cleared all of its trials.

“Don’t worry, I’m fine,” Song Changsheng replied before flitting to Xian Miaomiao’s side.

Xian Miaomiao was too focused on her recuperation to register what was happening around her.

“I’ll take Miaomiao with me. Is there anything you want to tell her? I can relay it to her,” Song Changsheng asked.

“Elder, I have a question I’d like to ask,” Chu Feng said.

Weng!

A white fog suddenly settled in. Everyone vanished except for Chu Feng, the meditating Xian Miaomiao, and Song Changsheng. It was Song Changsheng’s means.

“Shoot off,” Song Changsheng said.

“Elder, do you still remember this girl[1]?” Chu Feng was referring to the Three Saints Monstrous Clan’s sacred treasure, the Darkness Monstrous God’s soul.

Back then, a Netherworld Envoy had captured the girl together with Chu Feng and Song Yun, planning to bring the three of them to the Netherworld Sect. But Song Changsheng arrived and took the girl with him.

“I know she has ties with you, but I’m afraid she has gone missing,” Song Changsheng replied.

“Missing?” Chu Feng was surprised.

Song Changsheng had kept that girl by his side because he knew she was dangerous.

One day, the girl suddenly emanated a terrifying power, and before he could react, she had already vanished. He had been looking for her since, but he couldn’t find any clues.

Chu Feng didn’t think Song Changsheng would lie to him. He was a little disappointed, as he had thought he could finally bring the Darkness Monstrous God’s soul back to the Three Saints Monstrous Clan.

It wouldn’t be easy to find the girl if even someone like Song Changsheng had no idea where she went.

“Elder, I’m fine. I’m thankful to you for helping us,” Chu Feng said gratefully.

“You don’t have to thank me. You contributed the most here,” Song Changsheng said with a meaningful smile. “Is there anything you’d like to say to Miaomiao?”

“Please thank Miaomiao on my behalf. She protected us this time,” Chu Feng said.

“I’ll relay your words to her.” Song Changsheng smiled.

He turned around and vanished into thin air. The white fog dissipated, and the crowd returned.

From the crowd’s perspective, Chu Feng had disappeared with Song Changsheng and Xian Miaomiao, but only Chu Feng reappeared afterward. They didn’t probe into it, knowing that they must have had a private conversation.

Instead of leaving the area, Song Changsheng slipped into a hidden space, where Tianjian Qingyuan was sitting with crossed legs and recuperating. Her complexion looked much better than before.

“Are you here to bid me farewell?” Tianjian Qingyuan asked.

“Mm.” Song Changsheng nodded.

“That man was Chu Xuanyuan?”

“Mm.”

“No wonder you said no one in these eight galaxies can hurt Chu Feng.”

“He’s also the person I was talking about earlier.”

“The charismatic man who charms all ladies he meets?”

“That’s right.”

“He has a refined disposition.” Tianjian Qingyuan nodded. She thought about what Chu Xuanyuan had said to Song Changsheng and added, “But he has a venomous tongue.”

“He does.” Song Changsheng smiled.

“When do you plan to enter the Ninth Galaxy?”

“I’ll wait a while more. You?”

“I’ll head in right now. I’ll be waiting for you on the other side.”

“All right.” Song Changsheng nodded before leaving with Xian Miaomiao.

Now that she was alone, Tianjian Qingyuan stood up and looked at Chu Feng. Even though there was a vast distance between them, with a simple tap of her finger, Chu Feng suddenly appeared right in front of her.

Chu Feng was surprised. “Tianjian Qingyuan?”

Eggy tensed up. She stopped her recuperation and stood up.

Chu Feng had massacred everyone in the Heavensword Sacred Palace, a power Tianjian Qingyuan was affiliated with. She naturally assumed Tianjian Qingyuan had dragged Chu Feng here to avenge her descendants.

But what Tianjian Qingyuan said next surprised her.

“I’m sorry, Chu Feng.”

1. Chu Xuanyuan stole this girl from the Three Saints Monstrous Clan and brought her before Chu Feng, so that she would view Chu Feng as her master. It was revealed in Chapter 5904. ☜
