Chapter 6408: True Danger

“Miaomiao! Elder Song!” Chu Feng was overjoyed to see the two of them.

The ones who had just arrived were Xian Miaomiao and her master, Song Changsheng.

Chu Feng knew that Song Changsheng was extremely powerful, a true hidden expert in the world of cultivation. It could be seen as much from how he had made quick work of the Nine Pupils Demon Aura.

But Chu Feng didn’t head over to greet them right away.

Instead, he went up to Little Fishy and the others to check their conditions. They weren’t in a good state, but fortunately, their lives weren’t in danger. It would take time, but they would make a full recovery.

Bai Yunqing took out a few pills and handed them around. Then, he constructed a recovery formation.

Both his pills and formation were potent, such that Chu Feng didn’t have to make a move.

“It’s him? They do know each other!”

Huangfu Zhantian was taken aback. He had already met Song Changsheng at the Nine Heavens’ Zenith and lost to him. He knew Song Changsheng was unfathomably powerful, and it was due to his warning that he dared not harm Chu Feng.

Chu Feng flashed a smile at Xian Miaomiao, the latter responded with a beaming smile, too. This was enough for them to relay their sentiments to each other.

Chu Feng headed to them and first bowed to Song Changsheng. “Paying respect to elder.”

The latter was not just Xian Miaomiao’s master but his master’s friend, too.

“We meet again, young friend Chu Feng,” Song Changsheng said with a smile.

Chu Feng was overjoyed to meet Song Changsheng, for he had been wanting to ask the latter about the Darkness Monstrous God’s soul. He had learned that the little girl was the Darkness Monstrous God’s soul, and Song Changsheng had taken her away.

The realm suddenly began stirring.

“They have succeeded,” Chu Feng remarked as if he had expected as much.

The tombstone’s door opened, and the new king and Song Yun walked out. Their foreheads carried a rune imprint. Both of them simultaneously glanced at the other tombstone, which had crumbled after the Nine Pupils Demon Aura was defeated.

Song Yun walked up to Chu Feng and asked, “I’m glad you’re fine, big brother. Did that elder deal with that monstrous beast?”

“You know about the monstrous beast’s unsealing?” Chu Feng asked.

Before Song Yun could reply, the new king stepped forward and said, “It’s my fault. That monstrous beast is the Nine Pupils Demon Aura. It’s an immemorial monstrous beast created by the Demon Heavenly Exalted.

“The legacy is divided into two phases. The first phase involves obtaining the Demon Heavenly Exalted’s legacy. If the first phase is cleared, the challenger can choose to challenge the second phase and attempt to establish control over the Nine Pupils Demon Aura.

“I was greedy. I ignored this lady’s advice and insisted on challenging the second phase, but I failed. That resulted in the Nine Pupils Demon Aura getting unsealed and running rampant. I’m glad that you’re fine.”

The new king sounded conscience-stricken.

Chu Feng and the others finally understood why the Nine Pupils Demon Aura suddenly appeared without any warning.

“You bastard! You nearly had us all killed! Do you know what monster you have unleashed on us? Do you see their conditions? This was all done by the Nine Pupils Demon Aura! If not for this elder stepping in to save us, we would have died a dog’s death!” Huangfu Zhantian pointed at pale-faced Bai Yunqing and the others as he bellowed.

“My apologies.” In a rare show of apology, the new king lowered his head to Huangfu Zhantian. He also understood how huge his mistake was.

“Forget it. We’re fine anyway,” Xianhai Shaoyu said.

He was feeling better after some recuperation, so he stood up with Little Fishy and walked up to Song Changsheng.

Yuwen Yanri and Bai Yunqing caught his drift and followed suit.

They walked up to Song Changsheng and bowed in unison. “Elder, thank you for saving our lives.”

“It was nothing,” Song Changsheng replied with a faint smile.

He wasn’t planning to reveal himself at the start, since he could have dealt with this situation while remaining hidden. But this time, he wanted to show himself.

“T-t-the heck! Miaomiao, is this your master? I didn’t k-k-know your master is so overpowered!” Wang Qiang exclaimed. He respectfully bowed to Song Changsheng as well and said, “Junior W-W-Wang Qiang pays respect to elder!”

Song Changsheng nodded with a smile.

“Why are all of you gathered together?” Xian Miaomiao asked.

“It’s a coincidence.” Chu Feng told Song Changsheng and Xian Miaomiao about the Seven Stars Orb.

“That would mean you have been chosen. As expected, there’s more to the Immemorial Cemetery than I thought,” Song Changsheng remarked.

“Elder, what brings you and Miaomiao here? Were you summoned here?” Chu Feng asked.

“It wasn’t because of a summon. I felt great danger lurking here, and it felt like everyone might die if it wasn’t promptly resolved,” Song Changsheng replied.

“H-h-heavens! Elder, did you sense the N-N-Nine Pupils Demon Aura?” Wang Qiang asked.

“No, encountering that being was a coincidence. The danger is still present,” Song Changsheng replied.

“The danger is still present?”

The crowd tensed up. Song Changsheng’s words implied that there was something more dangerous than the Nine Pupils Demon Aura here.

Chu Feng activated his Heaven’s Eye to survey the surroundings, but he couldn’t find anything. Thus, he switched to the Three Realms Divine Eyes. What he saw horrified him.

A bizarre aura that could only be seen through the Three Realms Divine Eyes was coiling behind the tombstone.

“It’s there.”

As soon as Chu Feng uttered those words, the bizarre aura erupted like a volcano, and a door several times taller than the tombstone rose from the ground.

Everyone lost their composure.

The door resembled a pitch-black tombstone, and it emanated overwhelming pressure. Contained inside the door was an aura far more terrifying than the Nine Pupils Demon Aura’s.
